Why All The Attacks In London?

For months attacks have been taking place in London and elsewhere, but why? Our youth have been on a rampage of killing and wounding others and no-one knows why. What has got into the youth of today that they go around attacking other people. Mostly the targets have been teenagers, but why! Are our youth getting out of hand?

Every day we hear of someone getting killed on the streets of London and it never happened before. Our youth have gone crazy, maybe because of arguments and robbery, but why is this happening? It has never happened before in our history when we had the death penalty.

I believe that our youth has totally lost control of their emotions and to kill someone you disagree with is totally wrong. Violence in England has been on the rise for years, mostly because of our youth. We need to get to grips with this wave of violence. The police are not tracking down the culprits of these attacks, but if they do the perpetrators get only three to four years in prison. This is ridiculous for they should be locked away for ever.

What has gone wrong with British Justice? Interference from the European Court of Justice that’s what. They say we cannot put murderers away for years for it endangers their human rights. Why?

If someone kills someone they should be locked up for life, or on the other hand sentenced to hanging like we used to. Many of the victims are not British but immigrants, and that is a sorry state of affairs. Immigrants should not be targeted, for they live in England and have as much right to be here as we do.

Once we leave the European Union I would like to see the laws changed to stop these murderous attacks. Bring back hanging for killers if they are found guilty. Currently our prisons are full of Muslims but we should deport them back to where they came from. That will leave many prisons with plenty of space to house these killers. We also should bring back hanging for these killers, and once we do that the number murders will drop drastically. For all our youth will be afraid of going to the noose and ending their lives.

It will take a long time to end this current disaster, but it will succeed in the long run if the hanging laws are introduced. Our youth and older killers will be afraid of the noose and the end of their lives. It was a big mistake for the European Union to ban hanging, for the number of murders has risen astronomically since this law was introduced.

Most killers will know that they only get three or four years in prison and then they are freed. Many of them do not care if they serve a short sentence in prison, and they go back to their old ways. This has to stop once we get out of the Union, and most killers will be afraid of the death penalty if they kill someone.

One Up For France

Posted in Britain, Child Abuse, Child Discipline, European Union, News, Parenting, Police, Teen alcohol abuse, Teen Violence, Teens with tags , , , , on 08/03/2015 by floroy1942

It would seem that France is not bowing to pressure from the rest of Europe on an important issue. It concerns a law that was accepted by the rest of Europe but not by the French, and for that I applaud them, for they at least are showing common sense.

images (1)You may be wondering what I am on about so I’ll tell you. This post concerns France’s refusal to enforce the ‘no-smacking’ rule for children that has cascaded across the world ever since Sweden first banned it in 1979. It is now forbidden to use ‘corporal punishment’ (i.e. smack a child) in 44 countries across the world, but to date France refuses to back it. I think they have the right attitude.

I still remember the old saying: “A smack in time stops a crime” and its as true today as it ever was. During their formative years children must learn right from wrong, but few do these days. If they do not, we end up with a mess like we have today, where teenagers and young adults are the cause of a good proportion of the crime in society today, run wild whenever they feel like it, drink excessively and take to drugs.

The Statistics Tell It All

The Statistics Tell It All

It is essential to teach from a very early age what is acceptable behaviour and what is not. If you begin early enough just a light tap on the hand or buttocks is enough to teach them right from wrong. Naturally, I do not advocate ‘beating’ a child for that is over the line.

With my own children I used the prescribed method from the time they learned to walk, and a light slap on the buttocks was necessary only two or three times and they learned quickly. When my wife or I said they should not do something they stopped immediately. In later years they both conformed to the norms of teenage and adult behaviour without a problem. I am happy to say they both turned out to be exemplary adults who never turned to drink or took drugs.

People's Opinion

People’s Opinion

In contrast to this, a brother of my wife used the ‘no-smacking’ rule and his boy was such a nuisance that the family told him to leave the boy at home when he came to visit. He used the old and tried method on his second son and he was as good as gold.

When I look at the world today, I see Britain’s youth in particular, running wild on the streets especially at weekends when they all go out drinking to excess. There are fights in Disco’s and on the streets and the Police are constantly trying to stop them. We have children as young as nine or ten committing murders and many of today’s’ teenagers hang around on street corners in gangs looking for likely victims and even robbing convenience stores on the High Street. Teenage crime has gone through the roof since I was a child, in fact crime in general has escalated to levels unheard of in my time.

GoodI blame the ‘Anti-Smacking’ Laws that have all but made it impossible to teach a child discipline, honesty and respect when they need it most. This fact is most noticeable these days in the general attitude of many who think of themselves first before considering the needs of others.

It is true that in the old days some parents overstepped the limit when it came to child chastisement and were excessively brutal, but in general these were few and far between in my experience and certainly did not warrant a blanket law for everyone, but it happened and now we are stuck with the consequences.

So all things considered, I applaud the stance taken by France where normal child chastisement is allowed. I hope they continue with it and not bow to outside pressure from the E.U.

Ms. Atkinson – Another Raving Nutter!

Another Stupid Do-Gooder

Another Stupid Do-Gooder

The Children’s Commissioner for England, Maggie Atkinson, has said that the smacking of children in all its forms should be banned in the United Kingdom. Is this woman a raving nutter or what. Parents have little choice anyway over what punishment they can hand out to recalcitrant children, which is clearly evident in the way children behave these days.

Well, Verbal Discipline Sure Didn't Work!

Well, Verbal Discipline Sure Didn’t Work!

Tell your child to do, or not do, something these days and you are more than likely to get a mouthful of abuse back or be completely ignored. Children realize at a very early age what they can get away with, and any parent who wishes to bring up their children in a proper way, i.e., teach them respect and honesty, can do very little to enforce life’s rules on a child.

Stings A Little But Very Effective.

Stings A Little But Very Effective.

Currently, you are allowed to smack, but only if you do not break the skin or cause a bruise. Many will say this is enough, and they may be right up to a point, at least with any but the most hardened cases. Look around you as you walk the streets of any town and see the gangs of youths standing around on street corners.

Remember the Bulger Murder?

Remember the Bulger Murder?

Britain has the highest rate of youth crime in Europe and ‘it ain’t going away’ as they say. Look back over the past ten years or so and think of how many murders alone have been committed by children under eighteen. Some of them are as young as seven or eight, with many being eleven to thirteen. Now think a little further and ask yourself, with which generation did this unruly behaviour begin?

They Way They Want It Done?

They Way They Want It Done?

It began with the generation that grew up during the smacking ban when all the country’s do-gooders (many without children) jumped on the bandwagon and started proclaiming that smacking children is wrong. These idiots did their best to remove any form of chastisement to children, but guess what, children learn faster than you think.

Ever Felt Like This Under The ,No Smacking, Rules?

Ever Felt Like This Under The ‘No Smacking’ Rules?

Eventually some form of common sense did arise from this stupidity and the current no bruising or broken skin law was passed. It at least allowed some form of discipline with children. When you think of it, how else do children learn except from their parents. Today of course we suffer more and more from parents who don’t give a damn anyway, and allow their offspring to do as they please so long as they are not disturbed.

Yes Sir, My Dad Hit Me!

Yes Sir, My Dad Hit Me!

Now this stupid woman comes along and says we should ban all forms of effective punishment for children. No smacking – Ever! She also advocates criminal prosecution for parents who break this law. I can see this leading to many a disgruntled child turning up at the police station falsely claiming to have been struck by a parent just as a means of get back at them for something: “If you don’t let me go to the party I’ll tell the cops you hit me!”

I'm Not Sure Ms. Atkinson Would Have Success With The London Street Gangs!

I’m Not Sure Ms. Atkinson Would Have Success With The London Street Gangs!

So what are parents to do, those that care at least? Well, for a start I would drop this stupid woman off at some London East End housing estate one evening and leave her to the tender mercies of the local yobbo’s for a day, and then see what she thinks of disciplining children. That is always presuming she comes out alive and sane that is. Ms, Atkinson shouts loud and clear that she used to be a teacher and “never having had an issue where I’d need to use physical punishment”.

Classroom violence in the USA.

Classroom Violence - Not Always Against Teachers.

Classroom Violence – Not Always Against Teachers.

I guess that must have been a long time ago, for nowadays teachers are often threatened, and do suffer physical violence from pupils in school. A report I read last year indicated that as many as fifty percent of teachers had at some time or other been threatened with harm. Food for thought Ms, Atkinson?

Laudable Goals, But Don't Allow The Children To Rule!

Laudable Goals, But Don’t Allow The Children To Rule!

As you would expect, the NSPCC jumped on the bandwagon saying: evidence is building that smacking is “ineffective and harmful to children”. Ah well, then I guess generations of parents must have been wrong to give their children a wallop to teach them how to behave and make them do as they are told. Well, I will say this, I was brought up with the old methods and it never did me any harm.

Old Style Discipline

Old Style Discipline

It did teach me to respect my elders (not that there are many of them around now) and it taught me to be truthful and honest in all I do and say. It has never crossed my mind to pull a knife on someone I disagree with, or to steal from shops or vulnerable people like old age pensioners. I never felt the urge to hang around on street corners wearing a hood that all but covered my face, and with my mates scare the living daylights out of anyone passing by just for fun.

Good Luck With That Method!

Good Luck With That Method!

The NSPCC is also quoted as saying: “There are more positive ways to discipline children and a clear message that hitting anyone is not right would benefit all of society,” All I can say smarty pants is: Why don’t you come and tell us what these ‘more effective’ measures are! Perhaps this idiot means that children will automatically respond well to you telling them to stop whatever it is they are doing wrong. We should perhaps sit them down and explain in simple words why what they are doing is wrong and plead with them not to do it again. Maybe we should make our thirteen year-olds stand in the corner for an hour as punishment, or tell our fifteen-year-olds to write a hundred lines. Ha! I would love to see the NSPCC try that out on a bunch of kids from a housing estate. It is doubtful any such idiot would see another day.

Nice To Have Well Behaved Kids

Nice To Have Well Behaved Kids

Naturally, there are many children who come from good homes and learn the necessities of life without severe punishment, but for every one of them there is perhaps five who come from under-privileged homes and don’t give a toss for any form of discipline.

Child Abuse - It has To Stop

Child Abuse – It has To Stop

One point I do have to make clear is that I do not condone in any shape or form brutality towards children. I had enough of that in my own childhood, but I do know that it is possible to chastise a child effectively without brutality. The important thing is to start as soon as they are old enough to understand. You don’t smack a fourteen-year-old, but a mild smack when required on the leg of a one-year-old would make that unnecessary, because later the child would already have learnt right from wrong.

In conclusion, I am happy to say that it seems no-one is taking much notice of this crazy woman’s ravings, for a government spokesperson said: “While ministers did not condone violence towards children, they did not wish to criminalize parents for issuing a mild smack”.

Chris Grayling

Chris Grayling

Justice Secretary Chris Grayling said some time ago that he smacked his own children when they were young and defended the right of parents to smack their children. The Conservative minister, who has two grown-up children, said, “You chastise children when they are bad, as my parents did me. I’m not opposed to smacking. It is to be used occasionally. Sometimes it sends a message – but I don’t hanker for the days when children were severely beaten at school.”

From a Movie But You Get The Picture.

From a Movie But You Get The Picture.

On that subject I will say that ‘six of the best’ across the buttocks or hand made darned sure you never made the same mistake again, but that is for school only.

Happy New YearEnjoy 2014! May your children always listen when you tell them off, and grow up to be fine upstanding citizens of the future.

The Callousness of Modern People!

Posted in America, Britain, England, Insanity, Modern World, Senior Citizen, Teen Violence, Theft, UK, USA with tags , , on 09/10/2012 by floroy1942

I have just read a story in the news about an 83 year-old war hero who was mugged in broad daylight in a Tesco Supermarket car park, and even though he called for help, his pleas fell on the deaf ears of those walking past. Michael Saxby, who needs crutches to get around, was robbed of his bank card and then the thieves took £720 out of his account. He is fairly sure that a young woman filmed him putting in his code as he took money from a cash machine before the robbery.

Michael Saxby

It happened in the middle of a busy car park but despite his cries of help to passers-by, not one came to his aid. To me this is intolerable! Are modern people gutless, or is it the ‘it’s not my problem’ attitude, I can’t quite make up my mind. I know for a fact that even though I am 69 coming on 70 I would have done what I could to help the poor man!!!!

Mr. Saxby said afterwards that when he was younger he would not have hesitated to help someone in that situation and I know how he feels. Back then when men were men, practically anyone would have stepped forward to help, but now no-one wants to get involved, and in my view people today should feel utterly ashamed of themselves. Having spent a good deal of his own life helping others its downright disgusting that no-one came to help him.

In 1942 he received an award from the Royal Humane Society for saving a young boy from drowning in a Cambridgeshire river, and after leaving the RAF where he served as a medic, he worked at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge for more than 40 years.

Tesco Cambridge UK

Mr Saxby told reporters that he called for help but people in the car park just “walked on”. Later he said, “I’ve helped people all my life, but no-one came to my aid. One woman did walk over but she was sort of brushed away…….I’ve always been very conscientious, especially as a younger man, even if it meant putting my own life in danger. I always helped people.” Well thanks Michael, some of us do appreciate it!

It brings to mind a piece I wrote some time ago about people walking past a mugging victim who was dying on the streets of New York one night. He had gone to help a girl being mugged and got stabbed. The thing is, if he had received help he would have lived, but the people just walked on by. I can hear some say already, ‘see what happens when you go to help someone, you get stabbed’! Well to them I say, there is a big difference between a dark street in New York and daylight in the middle of a car park, and I am sure that if just two people would have approached the muggers they would have run off.

Morbid Interest At An Accident Scene

Believe me when I say I am very glad that I am old, for to live in today’s society you have to be so self-centred, and that for me is impossible. Like many of my age, I just don’t fit in any more. I could no more watch a mugging, or stand around at an accident or murder scene waiting for the bodies to be carried off than I could climb Everest, well not at my age anyway.

We live in a sick society today where the over-riding factors are greed and a callous disregard for anything that does not affect ‘self’. Its time everyone woke up to the fact that as a person, we are not alone on this planet, and as a species we need to help each other as much as possible, for there are very hard times ahead for humanity.

End of rant!

The Youth Crime Debate

Posted in England, Europe, Government, Government Spending, Human Rights, Insanity, Justice, Modern World, MP's, Parliament, Police, Political Correctness, Prison, Teens, Theft, UK with tags , , , , , on 05/01/2011 by floroy1942

Have you ever felt nervous when passing a group of hooded youths on the high street? As the youth of today get more and more out of control, the debate over what to do with them gets more intense. Various plans by many successive governments, all of whom have promised to be “Tough on Crime”, have sadly failed to reduce youth crime.

Our Violent Youth

We have now reached a “Catch 22” situation, where the cost of keeping people behind bars has risen to the extent that the government is looking for ways to reduce still further custodial sentences in an effort to save money, while figures show the rate of re-offending by short term prisoners is on the rise.

In December last year the National Audit Office (NAO) released figures showing that 60% of prisoners who served less than a 12 months jail term re-offended, while only 18% of those inmates serving more than 4 years committed new crimes.

Re-Offending Rates From The NAO.

To me, the figures are clear. A longer sentence is more of a dissuader than a short one.

Home From Home!

British jails have become a ‘home from home’ for inmates, readily likened to a 5 star hotel instead of a place of punishment. Each prisoner has his own TV and music centre with plenty of recreation time in which to play snooker, table tennis, chess or in fact anything else that takes their fancy. They lounge around for most of the day in a life that many would find far better than their own on ‘the outside’. There is little incentive to become constructive members of society despite what the Barmy Brigade (Human Rights gang) tell us.

Is This The Future? How About Some Dancing Girls Too!

Prisoners in british jails have no sense that they are being punished for crimes committed, except for the fact that their freedom of movement has been temporarily suspended. To me this is wrong!

It has always been my conviction that jail time should be something feared by criminals. The jail regime should be so hard that no-one would ever want to go back. This system has worked for centuries until the Barmy Brigade started to gain major influence on the prison system under Labour.

Something No-one Forgets In A Hurry.

Young offenders such as we see today would have received the birch for petty crimes and a ruthless custodial sentence with hard labour for anything more. For premeditated murder you would have been ‘hanged by the neck until dead’ as the saying goes. Say what you like about it, but it was a great dissuader.

Today we are seeing more emphasis on not punishing offenders, but ‘trying to get them to change their ways’. The Police Foundation and Justice have just announced they do not want to see youth criminals sent to jail, but submit to conferencing with victims, parents and advisors’! What a load of bullshit!

I can just imagine it: “Advisor; “Now you know you have been a naughty boy so say sorry to your victims parents”. Youth: “OK. I’m sorry. Can I go now?” Advisor: “Alright, but just see you don’t kill anyone else”. End of story!

Conference This Lot!

Now that I am sure that will (not) put wayward youth back on the path of righteousness!

Criminals laugh at today’s justice system, and rightly so because it has become a joke. Now the emphasis is on so-called ‘Community Sentencing’ in which offenders are given the chance to work off their debt to society by working in the community.

Reports have shown that in the majority of cases these people rarely turn up for the work they are supposed to do, and there is such a shortage of supervisory staff that they get away with it. In many cases the supervisors cannot even be bothered to follow up on delinquents.

If anyone killed or even injured someone dear to me, I would want to see them banged up for a very long time in a prison that had the harshest of regimes. It would interest me little to hear a killer apologise. Sorry just doesn’t cut it!

It is high time prisoners were relieved of all their ‘home from home’ gadgets and TV’s and made to sleep in a cell with just the bare necessities, i.e. a bed, a toilet, and washbasin. An end should be brought to the idle hours and they should be made to work 48 hours a week just like you and me. I don’t care what it is they do, manufacture number plates or mailbags as in the past or whatever else, but work they must.

…And It Costs Less Too!!

With all the emphasis on what it costs to house a prisoner in today’s jails, £55,000 per prisoner with an annual total of £11 billion, it should be obvious even to the most dim politician that if we take away all the prisoners ‘goodies’ we could save billions. Why should the tax payer pay for all the amenities provided to prisoners. It’s obscene! Plus of course, they would help pay for their keep by the work they are doing every day.

It is not until we put the fear of God into these individuals that the crime rate will drop, and no amount of pussy-footing with criminals will get them back onto the right path.

Will it ever happen? Not on your life!

Are You Doing Your Best For Your Child?

Posted in Child Abuse, Child Discipline, Children, Human Rights, Modern World, Parenting, Relationships, Teen Violence, Teens, UK with tags , , , , , , , , on 24/06/2010 by floroy1942

So you think you know how to bring up your children and what is best for them. Right? Sorry, but the state of the world today dictates otherwise for many. All is not lost however, a group of researchers in Utah have dramatically discovered what is wrong today.

Is This Your Child?

Even a superficial look at the figures for teenage crime, violence and drunkenness in many western countries will prove the current ‘softly, softly’ approach to bringing up a child is way off the mark. So how have we developed as a species to the extent where a lot of parents are afraid of their own offspring?

Many parents today will readily admit they have no control over their children so you have to ask, what has changed? What cataclysmic event allowed our children to change from being obedient, considerate and respectful into monsters to be feared?

A Child of Today

The answer in my opinion is two-fold. On the one hand we have a distinct lack of discipline in the home and schools brought about by the interfering ‘nanny’ state, and secondly, the steady erosion of family life within the home over the last forty years.

The 'Hoodies'

Ever since the first Anti-Smacking Law was presented to the New Zealand Parliament in 1961 to combat escalating abuse against children, and in particular the last 20 years when various other nations have also applied such laws, teenage violence, drunkenness, and crime have escalated to such proportions that in many countries people will take an alternate route rather than pass a pair of youths hanging around on a street corner.

The researchers, from Brigham Young University in Utah USA, found that children with “a strict and loving upbringing” were more likely to grow into honest, responsible and respectful youth than those with (a) little or no discipline, and (b) excessive or little love. Their findings indicate that too much love or discipline, or too much of one and not the other, can be detrimental to the way children view life and behave as teenagers. Obviously, the trick is to find the right balance.

What I find so amazing is they have ‘re-discovered’ a formula that has been working for centuries prior to the mad last half of the twentieth century!

Children of the 1950's

I was born in 1942 and know all there is about discipline as a child and I continued with bringing up my two children in the same strict way. Neither one has ever been in trouble, never taken to drink as a substitute for enjoyment and are now respectable grown-ups.

Any comparison between the old and new ways of bringing up children reveals quite simply the new ways don’t work, and are the reason we are in this mess today with our youth. I have for years advocated that all this crap about anti-smacking is just that; Crap!

As I said to friends of ours who had a baby boy about eighteen months ago, they must ensure the child knows who is boss right from the cradle. Not doing so can lead to a life of misery for both parents. For the first ten months or so, both parents got very little sleep each night because the baby would wake at all hours crying and wanting attention, so they stayed, sometimes for several hours, until it fell into an exhausted sleep.

In this way the baby became dominant in the household and for a long time he would squawk for attention any time he felt like it and mummy or daddy would come running. Since then, if the child wants something and doesn’t get it there follows a fit of pure temper until the parents gave in.

Violent Children

Once a child has asserted its supremacy there can follow years of misery for the parents, who may try and gain control, but it’s an uphill battle and almost impossible to achieve.

As in days gone by, and as the research team have recently ‘discovered’ (tongue in cheek), a strict disciplined upbringing and shows of love and caring are essential for the future well-being of any child. It is imperative children are taught from the beginning that the parents are the boss, and they should do as they are told. Without this approach, any child will get the feeling that they can do as they please, and life owes them everything for free! Much as many children and teenagers think today.

In supermarkets everywhere we hear cries of; “I want… – I want…” and so often the reply is “Oh alright” just for the sake of keeping the peace for one more precious minute.

Temper

Currently, most children have no idea what ‘No!’ means, for they are fully aware that if they pester their parents for long enough, or throw a tantrum, they will eventually get what they want. A sad indictment of parental control today.

The days when you could properly discipline your child for wrong-doing are sadly long gone, as is evident from occasional news stories that highlight cases where a mother has had her children taken away from her by Social Services, for nothing more than giving a recalcitrant child a smack on the leg or hand for being naughty in public. These stupid laws should be repealed immediately, for the simple reason you cannot expect any child to follow the right path if no-one is allowed to tell them what it is.

The Horror of Child Abuse

Don’t for minute think that I condone child cruelty, for I do not, and anyone found committing such an act should be severely punished to the full extent of the law, but there is a wide chasm between such things and the smacking of an undisciplined child.

Yes, I hear some say, but where do we draw the line? For these simple-minded people who need to be told; the line not to be crossed is that of leaving a bruise, breaking a bone, or breaking the skin and thereby causing bleeding. All of these are a long way from giving your child an open-handed smack on the legs, hands or buttocks.

Earlier I also said the loss of the ‘family unit’ has been a contributing factor in the failings of youth these days, and I meant it.

Who's Looking After Your Child?

Since WW2, and the advent of women going out to work for a living, family life has all but ceased to exist. The children are rushed off to school or left in the care of child-minders or crèche centres and never get to see their parents again until they come home tired from a long day’s work. Perhaps, if they are lucky, a couple of hours television and then off to bed to start the whole process over again the next day.

This is not family life for a child!

A Family Day Out

A child needs to know it is loved, needs to have someone there to tell it when it’s doing something wrong. As a parent, you can love your child to bits, but it all means nothing if one of you is not there to welcome them home from school and listen while they tell you about their day. If they hurt themselves while out playing, they need to know someone is at home and will kiss it better, not have to wait until five o’clock when mummy or daddy comes home from work.

It all comes down to one basic fact that is more often than not overlooked in today’s society, Having a child is a responsibility for life! Any couple who decide to have a child must make the conscious decision that someone needs to be at home all the time if you are to be responsible parents and raise responsible children. You can’t have it both ways!

UK Child Sadists Sentenced – But is it Enough?

Posted in Britain, Child Abuse, Child Discipline, Children, England, Insanity, Justice, Modern World, Prison, Teens, Torture, UK with tags , , , , , , , , , , on 22/01/2010 by floroy1942

Britain has been rocked this last week hearing in graphic detail what happened when two young boys, aged 10 and 11, carried out one of the most sadistic crimes by a juvenile ever recorded. The two were accused of a prolonged 90 minute attack on two young boys of 9 and 11 last April when they battered, strangled, and violated them because they were bored and had ‘nothing else to do’. The only reason they stopped, was because their ‘arms were tired’ from the continuous savagery.

For a full hour and a half, they cut their victims with barbed wire, throttled them with a cable, covered them with a burning plastic sheet, stubbed out a cigarette in an open wound after battering them with rocks and branches, and jumped, kicked and punched them in an orgy of violence. As if this was not enough, they forced the elder boy to strip from the waist down and carry out a sexual act on the 9 year old. The younger of the two brothers even used a mobile phone belonging to the 11 year old victim and video recorded part of the attack. You really couldn’t make this up if it were a horror movie.

Today the pair were sentenced by Judge, Mr. Justice Keith, to be detained ‘indefinitely’, serving a minimum of five years. Stating that the two ‘posed a very high risk of serious harm to others’, he added that he hoped the family of the victims would ‘appreciate that five years is the very least they would serve’. From the court artists sketch it is clear the brothers showed little interest in the court proceedings, and felt no remorse for what they had done.

I for one, would not consider that a tenth of what they should serve, but you can bet your last dollar that in five years or less they will be considered for parole by some ‘limp wristed git’ who feels sorry for them. By then they will be just 16 and 17 years old.

During the trial, a Child Protection Expert told the judge the younger brother in particular ‘was a very high risk to the community’, and also ‘at risk of becoming a seriously disturbed psychopathic offender’.

Much was said during the trial of their home life, which included a violent alcoholic father who grew cannabis on his allotment and allowed them to drink vodka at age six, and an uncaring mother who put the drug into the boys food and drink so they would sleep and give her a quiet time. She also left them alone in the house when they were five or six to watch horror movies like ‘Saw’ and ‘Chucky’, considered too violent even by most grown ups. The younger brother also had access to his fathers DVD collection of pornographic material, smoked cannabis and drank alcohol at home.

One of the most sickening parts to the whole affair is that the family was well known to Social Services and the Police as one of malcontents who were totally out of control. It is a pity this knowledge did not prevent the eventual savage attack that took place. As things now stand, nine months after the attack, both the victims are psychologically scarred, the younger one perhaps for life. For this the British Justice System hands down a sentence of a ‘minimum of five years detention’.

It will not be long before the ‘Goody Goody Brigade’ try to convince us the two sadists are ‘reformed characters’, have ‘learnt their lesson’, and are fit to be released back into society at the tender age of 16 and 17.

If that happens, all I can say is watch out for the newspaper headlines when these two savages kill someone in another sadistic attack soon after release. Their arms will not grow tired too quickly then. Britain is breeding a generation of monsters the like of which has never been seen before.

To me it is long past time we brought back the death penalty.

Roy.

Latest news hot off the press.

It would seem from the latest news stories that the two just sentenced will be allowed out of prison in four years time to do their GCSE Exams, and to top that, when they are released they will be given new identities and live in anonymity at the tax payers expense.  Can you believe this? It really is too bizarre!

More heartening news comes from the Police who have said the parents of the two brothers could well be facing charges of child neglect after an investigation.

Social Services have yet again been heavily criticised for not doing enough to solve the problems surrounding the family. It would seem a minimum of 31 chances were missed by the government department to intervene. Where have we heard that before? Some things never change!
