Brexit! Who Can You Really Believe?

Posted in America, Benefits, Britain, Budget Cuts, David Cameron, Elections, European Union, Human Rights, Immigration, News with tags , , , , on 12/06/2016 by floroy1942

As the Brexit poll comes closer each side is hotting up as each accuses the other of telling outright lies. The big problem is who do you really believe?

David Cameron

David Cameron

On the ‘Stay’ side we have heard a lot of may, could, and possibly stories about what will happen if the United Kingdom leaves, but the fact is no-one knows what will really happen.

The ‘Stay’ campaign is telling us that we will go into economic free-fall, millions will lose their jobs, the export market will collapse, the pound will drop drastically, interest rates will drop, house prices and wages will collapse, and oh so many more things. It would seem from their rhetoric that we are heading for the complete annihilation of our country.

But to me, this is all supposition and scare tactics designed to persuade the electorate to vote to stay in the E.U. They, like everybody else, do not have any idea what the effects will be on the country and how the E.U. will react.

We have contracts with many countries to export goods that are essential to their industry and I cannot see these companies suddenly cancelling them the day after the results are known.

Car Parts For The E.U.

Car Parts For The E.U.

What about the car manufacturing business? If they stopped all parts made in Britain their factories would have to close down for maybe months until a new supplier is found. British workers make a lot of parts for companies like Volkswagen, Audi, Opel and many others. The same goes for other businesses on the continent, many of whom rely on British made parts for their machines etc. There is no way this trade will suddenly stop if we vote ‘Out’.

Another area of controversy is Cameron’s insistence that our economy will suddenly take a nosedive. I am fully prepared to admit that we may see a slowing down of the economy until such time as we can sell goods to other countries across the world. Another thing he insists on is that house prices will drop to drastic levels, wages will hit rock bottom, and many things will  get a lot more expensive. Cameron also insists that the NHS and pensions will take drastic cuts.

It is all supposition designed to persuade people to vote to stay in the Union. Cameron and his cronies have been ‘suppositioning’ for long enough, and its time we heard the truth from them.

Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson

On the other hand, the ‘Leave’ campaign have also done their share of  ‘telling porkies’, but in my view to a much less extent. Both Boris Johnson and Michael Gove have been accused of lying about the huge influx of Turks that will invade our country if the E.U. agreement with Turkey on visa free travel goes ahead. I for one do not think they are lying. I think we will see a huge number of Turks moving to our country, all wanting to take advantage of our generous benefits system.

If we vote ‘Out’ we will be able to close our borders securely and let in only those who can be a benefit to the country like skilled workers. We can put a stop to all the Muslim migrants who are coming here to benefit from free money and accommodation.

We can also get rid of the Human Rights farce that is making a mockery of our Justice System. We can then deport all Muslims who are causing trouble in our land with their demonstrations for an Islamic State. We can rid ourselves of all the Muslim and other nationality criminals who are filling up our prison system. All positive advantages that the idiots in Strasbourg deny us.

Another bone of contention is the supposed £359m that we pay to the E.U. every week. Many have come out and said that this is not true for the actual figure is £17m a week. Even that to me is a huge sum of money when you consider it, £884m over a year. As Boris Johnson says, That could go a long way to solving all our problems with the NHS which is being stretched to the limits by immigrants.

Michael Gove

Michael Gove

There are of course many other arguments that are bouncing back and forth, but the one thing that sticks in my craw as I have said before, is the plan by those in Brussels  to form the ‘United States of Europe’ under their direct control. Eventually this will mean that all national governments will be wound up as complete control is handed over to Brussels. This I cannot vote for under any circumstances. Anyone who does not believe this should read about the Brussels plan to have every national flag emboldened with the twelve gold stars of the Union.

Union Flags?

Union Flags?

I have already reported on the fact that should Britain leave there are other countries that may well follow. In Germany, France, Holland, Denmark and several other counties there is a growing movement to also hold a referendum on staying in the E.U. Should this happen I can see the end of the Union, and it will take years for all countries to recover.

There can be little doubt that both sides are exaggerating the facts, but for me, I come down on the side of Boris Johnson and Michael Gove. It’s time we got out of this mess we call the European Union.

Downing Street Shenanigans!

Posted in America, Britain, David Cameron, Elections, England, European Union, Government, News, Politics, UK with tags , , , , on 22/05/2016 by floroy1942

Says It All!There can be little doubt that David Cameron is using every trick in the book to persuade the people to vote for not leaving the European Union. He is now guilty of telling outright lies in an effort to swing the vote his way.

He has been accused of offering knighthoods to many business leaders to persuade them to publicly denounce the ‘Out’ campaign. Some of them have been bold enough to order every worker in the company to vote ‘In’, and he has come up with so much rubbish when addressing the people that its just incredible.

He warns that prices will rise in the supermarkets for example and add £220 a year to everyone’s shopping bill. He says that it will cause a war in Europe, now where on earth did he get that from? People in the Treasury are saying that our economy will collapse if we leave. What a load of hogwash.

We may well go through some hard times for a short while, but when we get into the throes of international trade things will improve and we will be better off. No-one should imagine that every company we do business with in Europe will suddenly cancel contracts with U.K. firms.

This is but two examples of the rubbish he is sprouting in order to get everyone to vote ‘In’. He has done some crafty work behind the scenes to get many business leaders to back the ‘In’ campaign, and also many government departments, the NHS leaders are also on the list, along with many other organizations.

All I have to say is that if you believe all this bullshit coming out of Cameron, his minions and friends, then you deserve to be a part of the State of Europe, which is the aim of those in Brussels who want to rule the whole continent.

It is time we became a sovereign nation once again, where we the people can determine what we do. We desperately need to close our borders before being totally overrun with immigrants, and also we have to get rid of the Human Rights idiots in Strasbourg so that the nation can get back a proper justice system.

Weekend Fun – Again!

Time for a little more nonsense which I hope will cheer you up and make you smile:

The Time Machine:

Barak Obama and David Cameron are shown a time machine which can see 100 years into the future. They both decide to test it by asking a question each. Barak goes first. “What will the USA be like in 100 years time?” The machine whirs and beeps and goes into action and gives him a  printout, he reads it out “The country is in good hands under the new president, crime is non-existent,There is no conflict, the economy is healthy. There are no worries”

David thinks “It’s not bad this time machine, I’ll have a bit of that” so he asks: “What will England be like in 100 years time?”   The machine whirs and beeps and goes into action, and he gets a printout.   But he just stares at it. “Come on David” says Barak, “What does it say” David replies, “Buggered if I know! It’s not in English!”

Media

Never Lose Your Grandson! A heart-warming story:

My small grandson got lost in the supermarket so he approached a uniformed security guard and said, “I’ve lost my grandpa!”

The guard asked, “What’s he like?” The little devil hesitated for a moment and then replied, “Gordon’s Gin and women with big tits.”

Man’s Eternal Weakness:

I hate all  this terrorist business. I used to love the days when you could look at an  unattended bag on a train or bus and think to yourself. I’m going to take  that.’

A fat girl served me in McDonald’s at lunchtime. She said ‘sorry about the wait’. I said, ‘Don’t worry, you’ll find a way to lose it eventually’.

Driving

The Gunfighter:

A young cowboy sitting in a saloon one Saturday night recognized an elderly man standing at the bar who, in his day, had been the fastest gun in the West. The cowboy took a place next to the old-timer, bought him a drink and told him of his great ambition to be a great shot. ‘Can you give me some tips?’ he asked.

The old man said, ‘Well, for one thing, you’re wearing your gun too high – tie the holster a little lower down on your leg.’ ‘Will that make me a better gunfighter?’ ‘Sure will’

The young man did as he was told, stood up, whipped out his .44 and shot the bow tie off the piano player. ‘That’s terrific!’ said the cowboy. ‘Got any more tips?’

‘Yep,’ said the old man. ‘Cut a notch out of your holster where the hammer hits it – that’ll give you a smoother draw.’ ‘Will that make me a better gunfighter?’ asked the young man. ‘You bet it will,’ said the old-timer.

The young man took out his knife, cut the notch, stood up, drew his gun in a blur, and then shot a cuff-link off the piano player. ‘Wow!’ exclaimed the cowboy ‘I’m learnin’ somethin’ here. Got any more tips?’

The old man pointed to a large can in a corner of the saloon. ‘See that axle grease over there? Coat your gun with it.’ The young man smeared some of the grease on the barrel of his gun. ‘No,’ said the old-timer, ‘I mean smear it all over the gun, handle and all.’

‘Will that make me a better gunfighter?’ asked the young man. ‘No,’ said the old-timer, ‘but when Wyatt Earp gets done playing the piano, he’s gonna shove that gun up your ass, and it won’t hurt as much.’

The ‘Silver’ Surfers:

As we Silver Surfers know, sometimes we have trouble with our computers. Yesterday, I had a problem, so I called Georgie, the 11 year old next door, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, and asked him to come over. Georgie clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.

As he was walking away, I called after him, ‘So, what was wrong? He replied, ‘It was an ID ten T error.’ I didn’t want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, ‘An, ID ten T error? What’s that? In case I need to fix it again.’

Georgie grinned‘Haven’t you ever heard of an ID ten T error before? ‘No,’ I replied. ‘Write it down,’ he said, ‘and I think you’ll figure it out.’

So I wrote down: ID10T. I used to like Georgie, the little shithead.

Who Needs a Dictionary When You Have Dads:

A small boy has a school homework question to answer, so he asks his father “Dad, what’s the difference between ‘theoretically’ and  ‘realistically’?”
His dad thinks and then says “Right-o son, go and ask your Mother if she’d sleep with David Beckham for a million quid.” …
The boy runs off and comes back saying “Dad, dad, she said she would! She would sleep with David Beckham for a million pounds.”
“OK son,” says his dad. “Now go and ask your sister the same question.” The boy runs off, and comes back saying “Dad, dad”, she said “she would too!”
So then his dad says “Right, son, now go and ask your brother if he’d sleep with David Beckham for a million pounds.”
The son comes back excitedly saying “Dad! Dad! He said he would too!”
Well there you have it, son,” said his dad. “Theoretically the family could be sitting on three million quid. Realistically we’re living with two tarts and a poof.”

Spelling Errors

Mr & Mr Elton John

They had their sperm mixed together and a surrogate mother was artificially inseminated. When the baby was born Elton and David were ushered into a ward where a dozen babies were lying in their cots, eleven of them crying and screaming. In the corner, one baby was lying serenely.

A nurse came over to both of them and indicated that the happy child was theirs. “Isn’t it wonderful?” Elton asked David. “All these crying babies…and yet our baby is so content. This just proves the superiority of gay love!
“The nurse said, “Oh sure, he’s happy now, but just watch what happens when I pull the dummy out of his arse….”

That’s it for this time. I hope it makes your day go with a smile.

Come Back Winston! Britain Needs You – Again!

Posted in Britain, England, Government, Government Spending, Insanity, Liberal Party, MP's, Parliament, Royal Navy, UK with tags , , , , on 14/06/2011 by floroy1942

I dread to think what would have happened in 1939 if we had had the present government. Thankfully we didn’t, we had Winston Churchill and survived.

OK Winston - You Can Start With Today's Government!

It depresses me somewhat when I see Cameron and Clegg’s handling of the defence budget. Now, the First Sea Lord, a post held very successfully by Winston Churchill, has come out in opposition to the cuts made by the government. Sir Mark Stanhope made the message very clear, if the Libyan campaign goes on for more than 90 days we will, militarily, be in trouble.

HMS Ark Royal In The Falklands

He severely criticised the loss of the carrier Ark Royal and its fleet of Harrier jets, saying they would have been far more effective against Colonel Gaddafi than the RAF flying from bases in Italy, which, let’s face it, you can’t argue with. The Italian bases are one and a half hours flying time from the action, whereas Ark Royal’s aircraft would have been a mere twenty minutes away.

He made it quite clear however that he was not calling for a reversal of the Ark Royal/Harrier decision for it had been accepted by the Navy.

Says It All Really!

It was his opinion that should the campaign run on beyond the ninety day limit currently set, ships from home waters would be needed to fill the gap in the Mediterranean. So what the hell would we do if we got involved in a real war?

His remarks will no doubt be seen as an embarrassment to the Prime Minister and his deputy, but hey! If the truth hurts….tough! But not to worry, our illustrious armed forces chief General Sir David Richards, has said there is absolutely no cause for alarm and everything is under control. Yea right! He sounds like a politician.

Politicians always look firstly at defence when they need to make cuts in spending. Our armed forces have been cut to the bone during the last two decades and there will sure as hell come a time when we, as a country, will regret their rash decisions.

Plenty Around!

At home billions of pounds are squandered each year on inefficient bureaucracy and lame projects that in the long term do not work. New government departments are set up at huge cost only to close down within months. We are overrun with bureaucrats who do nothing positive to earn their inflated salaries, because in many areas of government there are ten managers working where one will be sufficient.

Billions Wasted on Such Items

Governmental departments waste billions of pounds annually when paying outrageously inflated prices (300-400%) for things like copier ink cartridges and other office materials.

All this is going on from year to year but who gets hammered when its budget cut time, you guessed it, the military.

HMS Cumberland - Scrapped

It is no wonder US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates expressed his dissatisfaction at the recent NATO meeting. With the loss of Ark Royal (our last remaining carrier) and its Harrier jets, as well as the surveillance aircraft Nimrod plus a few other ships like HMS Cumberland, we are eating into the ability of our military to fulfill its commitments, and more serious, defend our island.

Sure, money does have to be saved to get us out of the monstrous debt which was Labour’s legacy to the present government, but there are better and more efficient ways than clobbering the military, like starting with government itself.

There Will Come A Time....Soon!

I have no doubt there will come a time, in I would think about five years, when we will need our armed forces badly but to find out why you will need to read my next post. There can be little doubt that if we continue as we are they will not be able to help us. Only time will tell if I am right or not.

A New Form Of Parasite Living Among Us

Posted in Benefits, Britain, Budget Cuts, England, Government, Government Spending, Immigration, MP's, News, UK with tags , , , , , on 05/06/2011 by floroy1942

It will come as a surprise to many, me included, that Britain has until now, a new form of parasite being subsidised by the tax payer. New government proposals to evict rich people living in council accommodation, which is heavily subsidised by local councils, have been put forward.

Plymouth Almshouses From 1490 Demolished In 1868

The idea of council housing, and council estates, began in the late 19th century when local councils built houses and later tower blocks to house people who could not afford their own home. Tenants paid a modest rent which was subsidised by the council, i.e. the tax payer. All maintenance and upkeep was carried out by the council who owned the property.

The idea came from the so-called almshouses which began in the 10th century as a means of providing homes for poor and distressed people. The basic plan has undergone many changes over the years with in particular, the Housing of the Working Classes Act of 1890, the Housing Act of 1930, and much more recently, the Right to Buy Act of 1979.

Council Houses After WW2

Over the last three decades the waiting lists for housing have grown longer and longer, aggravated by the large families of the 1940’s and 50’s and the huge increase in immigrants in recent years. For the last two decades in particular, the housing shortage has been acute.

Considering the housing was intended for low-income families, it is quite a surprise to find from the news report that many families are earning more than £100,000 a year but still living in council accommodation. Needless to say, this is against the spirit of the plan, especially when there are thousands waiting for housing across the country.

News

Kick Out The Fat Cats Bob?

One such person, quoted in the report, is “RMT union boss Bob Crow, who is reportedly paid more than £100,000 but still lives in a council property”. When you consider that the subsidy paid by the tax payer for a single four bedroom house in London is £70,000 a year it soon adds up. It is scandalous to say the least, that someone earning as much as Bob Crow should still be receiving such accommodation from the council.

Modern Council Estate

Of the eight million people still living in social or council houses, government estimates put the figure at some 6,000 families who earn more than £100,000 a year. So if you do the sums, that means somewhere in the region of £400m is being spent to subsidise these people. I must admit, considering the number of people who earn less than half that amount are queuing by the thousands for accommodation it does not seem fair, and of course, its not fair to the tax-payer either.

News Report:

I am by nature non-political, but I have to applaud this move by the coalition government for it is the first to have ever tackled this problem. If they are successful, they will free up much-needed housing for those in desperate need. It will mean an end to the rule that council housing is for life, and that must be a good thing to combat those who become wealthy and can afford their own home.

Crackdown On Incapacity Benefits – About Damn Time!

Posted in Benefits, Britain, Budget Cuts, Demonstration, England, Equality, Government, Government Spending, Health, Human Rights, Justice, MP's, Parliament, Theft, UK with tags , , , , , , , , , on 05/04/2011 by floroy1942

At last we may have a government with the balls (Not Ed) to tackle a scandal that has been going on for years, that of false incapacity claimants. Currently the number of people claiming this benefit is approximately 3.2 million of the workforce (i.e. 1 in 10), and a high percentage of them are completely false or only partially true.

Benefit Fraud - What Benefit Fraud?

It seems that during the Labour years no-one was checking up on these people to find out their real situation. No surprise there!

http://www.youtube.com/embed/_QysHL-JOwQ

Illegal incapacity benefit payments are costing the honest citizens of our country billions every year. I ask you, what other country in the world has 10% of its workforce incapacitated? Its ridiculous!

It seems that until now no-one was prepared to do much about it, so don’t whine because the Tory/Liberal Coalition is trying to do something about it. At least they have the guts to tackle this major drain on government resources, unlike their predecessors!

http://www.youtube.com/embed/XumYGoF4EOo

Shashi Bacheta, 52, And Jeffrey Cole, 58, Why Should They Enjoy A Life In The Sun At Your Expense?

With the entire benefits system in such a mess, it has been easy for people to bamboozle their way into a free and easy life where they do not have to lift a finger to help themselves. From incapacity benefits to children’s allowance, from unemployment benefit to housing allowance everybody is at it, and the system is so broken that just about anybody can get themselves a free ride through life.

http://www.youtube.com/embed/lrZAMnkfCh4

You Are Missing The Point!

Its no wonder the TUC had such a good turnout for their demonstration last week, these people have never had it so good and of course they don’t want things to change! At the odd times Labour has seen fit to carry out checks they have caught incapacity benefit cheats every time. The present government estimate is that there are at least half-a-million people drawing full benefit but are able to do at least some form of work. Now if that doesn’t get your attention nothing will!

http://www.youtube.com/embed/fW1IbSewDnc

The government is attempting to reduce the number of claimants in a programme that will go on until 2014, and I say good luck to them. It is at least a decade overdue that these parasites were exposed and put to work.

Yes Well - Don't Forget The 'Parasites' YOU Support!

Why, as an honest person who pays their taxes regularly, should you foot the bill to provide these people with a lifestyle that in some cases is better than your own?

https://floroy1942.wordpress.com/2010/04/13/land-of-the-parasites/

It is time for the honest citizen to demonstrate in favour of the government crackdown on these lowlifes. Let your voices be heard and get these people earning an honest living like the rest of us!

http://www.youtube.com/embed/9oZ6SDliAQI

It just goes to show how easy it is for people to fool the system when we had such an unprincipled government like the last one.

African Countries Dare To Criticise Libya Action: Bloody Cheek!

Posted in Arab, Britain, England, Europe, Muslim, Security Council, UK, UN, United Nations, USA with tags , , , , , , , , , , on 22/03/2011 by floroy1942

The old saying: “People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones” comes to mind when I look at the latest news about Libya. It seems that after their initial success in getting western nations to solve what is after all an Arab, and by extension an African problem, now members of the African Union are ‘jumping on the bandwagon’ to criticise the way we are handling the situation.

Un Resolution 1973

Firstly, the African Union voted for Resolution 1973 in the United Nations which allows for “all necessary action to secure the no-fly zone”, and secondly, if they did not trust the west to do the job right, why didn’t they do it themselves?

Meddling! So Why Didn't You Do Something?

It’s true what they say you know: ‘You can’t please all the people all the time’, but I do find it extremely petty of the African nations; Uganda, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Namibia and Nigeria, whose leaders have come out in open criticism of the way the no-fly zone is being enforced.  Namibia’s President Hifikepunye Pohamba was even audacious enough to suggest that the coalition bombing was “meddling in the internal affairs of Africa”.

Zuma - Strong Words

Mr. Zuma of South Africa went even further, saying that all military action should stop and a ceasefire be sought for he: “rejected any foreign intervention, whatever its form”. Funny that, coming from a man who agreed to Resolution 1973!!!

Some African politicians, like Odein Ajumogobia the Nigerian Foreign Minister, have argued why the western powers ‘chose to intervene in Libya and not for example, in Bahrain or Ivory Coast’? The answer is quite simple; We were not asked!!!

The western nations, despite what some people like to think, are not the worlds policemen and it is up to individual countries to solve their own internal problems. However, if the United Nations gets involved because a population is being massacred by a madman, and the Arab League requests action, we will do all we can to help. I for sure have not heard of any Arab nation requesting UN help with the protests in Bahrain. Have you?

The Union of African States

It makes me sick to hear the continual whining of these spineless politicians who leave it to western nations to ‘carry the load’ at their behest, and when we do, can’t wait to sharpen their long knives. In my opinion, if you don’t have the courage of your convictions, stay out of politics!

When this is all over, I have the nasty feeling that the coalition nations are once again going to be crapped upon from a great height by the nations that should by rights be grateful that we are sorting out this problem, i.e. The Arab League and the African Union members.

President Sarkozy

During the interminable weeks the UN was discussing the issue, and people were dying on the ground I might add, neither the African Union nor Arab League raised a finger to help the people of Libya. All they could do was sit around the table wringing their hands and mumbling into their coffee cups! Without the persistence of people like Nicholas Sarkozy (France) and David Cameron (UK) they would still be at it.

Gaddafi - Not Quite Got All His Marbles?

There should be little doubt in anyone’s mind that had Gaddafi been able to finish the job, there would have followed a massacre of anyone even remotely connected with the revolution. He is well-known as being a little ‘off balance’, and his rambling speeches during the crisis gave a good idea as to his intentions.

Without a doubt, when the dust finally settles, the people of Libya will be well within their rights to ask the Arab and African nations why they did not help them much sooner.

I sometimes think the world would be better off without politicians!

Roy.

The Miraculous Awakening of a Politician! – Cameron on Multiculturism

Posted in Al Quada, Britain, England, Europe, Government, Immigration, Insurgents, Islamic Revolution, Religion, USA with tags , , , on 09/02/2011 by floroy1942

It seems British politicians are finally catching up with the rest of us. The people have known for decades that ‘Multiculturism in Britain ain’t working folks!’ Last week David Cameron the British Prime Minister, actually came out and said publically that it was so, and to his credit, he is the first British politician to admit this fact.

Angela Merkel Got There First David!

In his speech to the 47th Munich Security Conference, Cameron stated that “the UK needed a stronger national identity” (That’s funny, I seem to have read that somewhere before! It must have been in a stream of my past blogs). He went on to say; “We need a lot less of the passive tolerance of recent years and much more active, muscular liberalism” (I seem to have heard that before too). It does the poor old heart good to eventually find out there is a politician on the same wavelength as the rest of us.

He also seems to be of the opinion that Muslim organizations that do not come out strongly against extremism should no longer receive government funding. Right on Mr Cameron! If your actions match your words you may yet save the country from Islamization!

“Let’s properly judge these organisations: Do they believe in universal human rights – including for women and people of other faiths? Do they believe in equality of all before the law? Do they believe in democracy and the right of people to elect their own government? Do they encourage integration or separatism? These are the sorts of questions we need to ask. Fail these tests and the presumption should be not to engage with organisations,” – ‘Straight from the horse’s mouth!’

As you can imagine, the speech came under severe criticism from various quarters, i.e., Muslim-loving Labour and some Muslim Organizations. However, the Muslim Council of Britain spokesman Assistant Secretary General Dr Faisel Hanja, made a muted comment by describing the speech as “disappointing”.

As if you didn’t know, these are the people who prefer to keep a low profile, for they have never come out with a public statement condemning extremism in all its forms or doing anything to stop it. He went on; “Again it just seems the Muslim community is very much in the spotlight, being treated as part of the problem as opposed to part of the solution.”

I have news for you Dr. Hanja; You are part of the problem!

Muslims Must Stop This – Not the Police or Government!

Until such time as the Muslim community in Britain condemns publicly extremist’s actions, organizes demonstrations against them, and takes steps to have radical Mullahs and Imams removed from all mosques you will continue to be part of the problem.

Muslim organizations have sat on the fence for years, not lifting a finger to combat the extremists within their ranks and then expect us to be happy with the situation. I have often said, and I stand by these words: If you are not against them – you are for them! This ‘not wanting to get involved’ attitude has turned the country into a hotbed of extremism.

At the conference, Mr Cameron also made the point that the British people have been too tolerant of the Muslim minority. We have failed to stand up for our rights in our country, accommodating Muslims by removing things which we perceive may ‘offend’ them. The people seem to have forgotten that we were here first, and anyone who comes through the door must accept our way of life or move on.

You Get the Picture

Let me put it simply: If a total stranger walks in your house, grabs a beer from the fridge, sits in your favourite chair with his feet on the table and starts watching a Muslim channel on TV, would you bring him snacks and remove yourself from the room to make him more comfortable? No! I thought not!

But this is exactly what we were doing with the immigrants under Labour! How many times have we all heard; “you can’t do that it may upset the Muslims!”

Instead of helping them to assimilate into our culture and society, we have been ‘bending over backwards’ trying to change our culture to accommodate them! We even condone the violent demonstrations aimed at our way of life by extremist groups, who wave placards against everything we stand for and promising to kill us all!

In my opinion, its time for the British people to stop ‘pussy-footing’ around and declare to all minorities that this is our island, and if you can accept that and become part of our society, you are welcome to stay. If not, you know where the door is!

The Qu’ran

On the other hand, much has been said and written of the Muslim community failing to integrate with British society. Those that have, and they are many, are the most moderate of Muslims; they have to be for the teachings of the Qu’ran do not allow any Muslim to live in the way we do.

According to the Qu’ran there is no other religion than Islam, and those that do not belong to the ‘one true faith’ are enemies. The Muslim holy book calls for the destruction of all faiths outside Islam, and most of the things we do daily are considered a terrible sin.

Whilst the Christian Bible preaches love for one’s fellow man, the Muslim Bible, the Qu’ran, preaches nothing but hatred for everything none Islamic. Hence we have the extremist groups.

If you look at Muslim life in Britain, or any western country for that matter, you will find that the teachings of the Qu’ran make it totally impossible for any Muslim to properly integrate in our society and remain a ‘good Muslim’.

The strict teachings of the Qu’ran must cause much confusion among immigrant Muslims who come to our shores, for living here violates all they have been taught in their own country.

Right On Babe!

For this reason, anyone coming to our island must be made to understand that we believe in universal human rights, free speech and our system of law and democracy. These are fundamental rights we will not give up, so if they feel they can accept these values and live among us in peace and harmony; ‘then come on in!’ On the other hand, if they cannot, then they should return from whence they came.

I sincerely hope Mr Cameron is as good as his speech, for its long past due that we had a government not only capable, but with ‘the balls’ to do what we all know is right.

The Unbelievable Stupidity of Some Voters!

Speaks For Itself!

Reading a news article today I was amazed at how short-sighted and stupid some of the general public are when it comes to voting. The results of an opinion poll just released, say that support for Labour now stands at 43% over the Conservatives 32%. In broad terms, this means that should a general election be held today, Labour would romp home with an 11 point lead.

As saving grace, the public does seem to think that Con/Lib George Osborne is more likely to solve the countries economic problems than Labour’s Ed Balls.

But in general, it’s the same old story really, one Party makes a mess of things, and their replacement, while trying to sort out the problems they inherited, get kicked in the shins. What a short memory Labour voters have!

Most seem to have forgotten already that Britain’s problems were caused by the incompetent Labour Party in the first place.

Architects of Chaos

It was the Blair/Brown combination that instigated the massive overspend and the huge unemployment with their policies during the Labour years. Now that is thankfully at an end, a shaky coalition is now trying to get the country back on its feet and find jobs for everyone.

While this is not an impossible task, it is clear that everyone must make sacrifices in order to balance the books. It has to mean higher taxes, and less take-home pay for all, for the simple reason there is no other way! But do the voters understand this? It doesn’t look like it.

People voluntarily taking a cut in pay to ease the financial burden is not unheard of. In this time of crisis it is happening in other countries like Holland. The people don’t like it, but they have the common sense to see that it is necessary to get the economy back on an even keel.

Another Broken Promise From Brown

Conversely, according to reports, it looks very much like Britain is about to be overtaken by a wave of strikes as workers protest at the measures taken. So this year, the working class will perhaps have to limit their drinking to 8 pints instead of 10 at the pub, and the middle class may have to spend their holiday in Blackpool instead of Majorca, but its only temporary folks!

Thankfully, the excesses encouraged by the last Labour government had to come to an end. Britain’s financial state is more precarious than it has been for decades, and only action by a strong government will balance the books at the end of the day. But it means everyone must make do with a little less!

Of course, if things follow the normal pattern, once the Tory/Liberal coalition have got the country back on its feet and the books balance once again, the voter will think its time for a change and Labour will be in again.

Labour’s Legacy – Immigrants Queueing To Get In

Tony Blair and his henchmen brought the country to its knees with their ill-conceived policies. Perhaps the biggest mistake was opening the country’s doors to allow just about anyone to come and live here, even extremists! For decades these people have lived off the tax-payer, made a mockery of our justice system, and when they do finally do some work, take jobs away from ethnic Brits.

What seems to escape many, is that the jobs market in any country is a fine balance between the number of inhabitants and the number of jobs available. Its simple mathematics: Twenty into twenty goes once – forty into twenty goes a half! If you have two applicants for a single job one must lose out, which in turn means he/she is living off the state in the form of benefits and dole money. More governmental expense.

The Final Goal

So this leads me to the question, why did Blair & Co actively encourage hundreds of thousands of immigrants to enter the country during their term of office. Well, according to ‘those in the know’, it came down to two things; Blair had a vision of a multi-cultural Britain, and of course, the immigrants were sure to vote Labour in a general election.

What We, The People Pay For!

But look where it got us! Immigrants living in stately mansions in the centre of London with a weekly rent of £2,000+ paid for by the tax payer! Its disgusting, its insulting and it should never have been allowed.

The country had its share of illegal immigrants too, but what did Tony do, he gave them free housing and benefits for all the years it took their case to be heard, and usually ended up giving them citizenship anyway. More expense to the public purse, and more jobs lost to those with the right to them.

Now we see the Cameron/ Clegg combination attempting to sort out the mess they inherited and getting caned for trying. What we the people have to consider, is the job will be very hard and we the people, must be willing to make sacrifices to achieve the goal of economic stability for all.

The Cost

It just seems crazy that many will vote in those who caused the trouble in the first place because they may lose £20 pounds a week. Balancing the country’s books in the current economic climate will be a sore test for any government, and although mistakes will be made along the way (no-one is perfect) it will be hard but equally necessary. This is no reason to vote in at the next election the clowns who got us in this mess in the first place. Better two years of austerity and a return to ‘the good life’.

On The Right Track? – Give Them A Chance!

One can only hope that future polls will see the balance swing the other way, for as we all know, they are only a rough indicator of public feeling.

Will The Current Defence Review Cost Britain the Falklands?

Posted in Atlantic, Britain, Budget Cuts, England, Government, Government Spending, Insanity, MP's, Oceans, Parliament, Royal Navy, UK with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on 27/01/2011 by floroy1942

As always, defence spending is the first thing to be cut when money is seen to be tight. And as usual, the politicians make the same stupid, short-sighted decisions. It seems the present Coalition is no different.

HMS Ark Royal

Currently, the Royal Navy is to be hit hard in that its aircraft carrier fleet is to be scrapped. True, two new carriers are supposed to be built to replace those we have now, but apart from the fact they will not be ready until somewhere around 2017, their future is now in doubt even though construction has begun, and in which £1 billion has already been invested.

Hopefully, One of The Royal Navy's New Carriers

All branches of the armed forces will be hit, but by far the most significant is the proposed phasing out of all three aircraft carriers by 2015. Ark Royal has already been decommissioned, and Invincible and Illustrious are soon to follow. This will leave Britain without a single carrier until around 2017 when, hopefully, maybe, the navy will receive their two replacements at a cost. This cost is a significant reduction in their surface ships to help pay for the new carriers.

It’s like the Falklands war of 1982 never happened!

Without her aircraft carriers, Britain would have stood helplessly by while Argentina took over the islands at their leisure after the invasion, with no amount of harsh words from Margaret Thatcher making any difference.

A Harrier Lands on Deck

As it was, our carrier force with their Harrier VTOL aircraft, was the only thing Britain had in its military arsenal that could effectively strike back at the invaders. As we all know, the entire operation was a resounding success.

But what of today and the near future?

It would seem the current government has forgotten the lessons of the past, and are ready and willing to make the same mistakes when the scrapping of the CVA01 carriers almost cost us the Falklands.

The Argentine government must be rubbing their hands in glee at the prospect of a neutered Royal Navy who will be helpless should they try again in three or four years time. I’ll bet their generals have already started making plans for a new invasion of the islands, knowing full well the British will have no choice but to stand impotent on the sidelines.

The Mighty Vulcan Bomber

Since that conflict in 1982 the RAF has also suffered significant cuts to its budget and aircraft. During the previous conflict, the Vulcan and Victor cold-war bombers played a key role with their huge range of action, bombing targets like the runway at Stanley airfield and attacking the radar installations on the island. They too are long gone! Now Britain has no bombers at all with the range to strike at the Falklands.

The Harrier fleet, which proved so effective against the Argentinean air force has been decommissioned also, but that doesn’t seem to stop the politicians from a proposal which will see a scaling down of the number of Joint-Strike fighters to be ordered.

The Falklands

As I see it, this defence review will prove to be a catastrophe for the Falkland islanders, who in my view had better start learning Argentinean, for in about four years time they will need it.

Baroness Warsi On the Wrong Foot

It is not unusual for people in a position of power to make ill-advised statements aimed at the general public, and it would seem Baroness Warsi, co-leader of the Conservative Party and cabinet minister in Davis Cameron’s Coalition government, is no exception.

Baroness Warsi

She is the first Muslim member of the cabinet, and like most politicians, has ‘engaged mouth before brain’ on a subject extremely controversial in Britain at the moment; that of Islamophobia.

Extracts of a speech she intends giving to Leicester University today (20/1/2011) were leaked to the press in advance and have already raised a storm of criticism across most newspapers in the country.

The rank and file have certainly let loose in no uncertain terms in comments on the news story. Not only as a leading politician, but also as a Muslim she seems totally out of touch with public opinion. This, lets face it, is not unusual for a politician!

In her speech she claims that Islamophobia, and the separation of Muslims into two general groups, i.e., moderate and extremist, has become socially acceptable in Britain today and could lead to the further alienation of the Muslim community. What else did the silly woman expect when we’ve had terrorism on the streets?

A Suitcase Nuclear Weapon

Western nations have increasingly come under attack from Muslim terror groups ever since 9/11. Many people are holding their collective breath hoping Bin Laden and his cronies don’t get hold of a nuclear weapon!

The very fact that people put Muslims into two categories shows clearly not all Muslims are blamed for the violence aimed at them.

Despite what she says, there is widespread apathy among Muslim communities in Britain when it comes to condemning terrorism. I have not yet heard of any group in any country stepping forward and condemning in the strongest terms the violence committed by their brethren, and what is more, I don’t think I ever will. This point was raised by many commentators on the report in The Daily Telegraph.

In most peoples minds, if you don’t condemn a certain action, then by default you condone it. It is to the Baroness’s credit that in the proposed speech, she asks moderate Muslim groups to disassociate themselves from extremist Muslims saying; “Those who commit criminal acts of terrorism in our country need to be dealt with not just by the full force of the law,” adding “They also should face social rejection and alienation across society and their acts must not be used as an opportunity to tar all Muslims.” At least she got one thing right!

Baroness Warsi has proven by this outburst, that she has failed completely to understand the concerns the british people have over the massive Muslim immigration that took place under that last Labour government.

In 2001 there were 1.6 million Muslims in the country, which today has risen to 2.9 million, an increase of almost 100%. Thanks Tony!!!!

She Has At Least Learnt One Of Our Traditions!

The main thing that irritates the british public is the refusal of the majority of these immigrants to assimilate into our society. When you adopt a new country as your own you are expected, quite rightly, to obey the laws and accept the culture, traditions and language of your new home. You do NOT bring with you your own laws, culture and traditions and force them on your hosts.

Daily we hear of the so-called ‘hate preachers’ in mosques who make full use of the liberal free speech laws of our country to spread their poison across the community.

It has been amply proven that many races such as Jews, Indians and former members of the Caribbean nations who moved to Britain for a better life, have assimilated into our ways practically trouble free, for the simple reason they are prepared to. This cannot be said of the Muslim population, for they have housed themselves in close-knit communities and practically sealed themselves off from the british way of life.

They have their own system of laws (Sharia), and continue with traditions like polygamy, ‘honour’ killings’, and the mutilation of young girls genitalia. The Baroness has been condescending enough to admit some british Muslims do not do sufficient to integrate into society, which I think is an in-controversial fact!

Although now a member of the House of Lords, Baroness Warsi classes herself as a “Northern, working-class roots, urban, working mum” complete with Yorkshire accent, but, according to reports, received her title for one reason only, so she could serve in the shadow cabinet during the Labour years. She didn’t earn it!

Cameron and Baroness Warsi

After entering politics in 2004, she made a rapid rise through the ranks of the Conservative Party, mainly it seems because David Cameron liked her ‘plain speaking’, although some think she is too prone to making ‘gaffe’s’. Since May she has been a member of the cabinet.

Apparently, according to some reports, she has been heavily criticised by many extremist Muslims as not being “religious enough”. This I suppose could be interpreted as her not doing sufficient to help the Muslims get their own way!

As the most powerful Muslim woman in the country, why for example doesn’t she lead a concerted attack on all the hate preachers who infest the mosques of our land. These parasites incite hatred among the Muslim population for Britain and all it stands for. They have been responsible for the conversion of many formally moderate youths into extremists, that are not only responsible for many of the attacks on innocent people, but fight for the Taliban or Al Queda. If Baroness, you wish to use your position for something positive, that would be a good start.

If You Don’t Like It Here – GO HOME!

It would also be of considerable help if you would clear the streets of the extremist rabble who, making full use of our freedom of speech laws,  insult our dead soldiers who died fighting to free the Iraqi and Afghanistan people from the oppressive regime under which they lived, And lets not forget those malcontents who parade up and down with placards declaring ‘Islam will rule the world’ and “Behead those who insult Islam”.

In general terms, your speech is nothing less than I would expect from a Muslim living in our country. Instead of criticising this country and its people who gave you the opportunity to be where you are, try having a go at your own, that is of course presuming you can do that without ending up under a sentence of death from the extremists!!!

In conclusion I would like to point out most strongly, that any Muslim who comes to our shores ready and willing to accept our way of life, traditions and laws is, in my book, most welcome. On the other hand, those who will not should GO HOME!

Death Knell For Britain’s Forests?

Posted in Atlantic, Britain, Budget Cuts, Children, England, Environment, Forests, Government, Insanity, Modern World, Oceans, Parliament, UK with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on 26/10/2010 by floroy1942

I read a most disturbing report on the Internet today that not only surprised me, but made me angry also. It seems the British Government under David Cameron is planning to sell off 1.85 million acres of prime forest land that the government is responsible for.

It seems to me, that instead of grabbing at straws to decrease the national debt, more time should be spent looking ‘in house’ for savings. Ref: My post: 12/10.2010 – Is Cost Effective Government Possible.

A Typical Holiday Camp

This forest action is another part of the government’s cost saving measures in the new ‘Austerity Plan’ designed to get the economy back on its feet. The forests will be sold for the development of new holiday resorts, golf courses and logging operations.

Once a Common Sight

I remember in my youth the small copses of trees or an acre or two of woodland dotted throughout the countryside every few miles, always a pleasant place for a stroll or picnic on a Sunday afternoon and they made the English countryside one of the most beautiful in the world. Soon after they all disappeared as farmers realised they could make more money by cutting down all the trees and turning the land to farming.

Robin Hood Of Sherwood Forest

Now there is very little forest land in the country. Most, like the Forest of Dean, and Sherwood Forest famous in the Robin Hood tales of old, are now a shadow of their former glory.

The forests of England have always been a haven of peace and tranquility open to all as the following film by Alan Woods amply demonstrates:

http://vimeo.com/4535006

The Magna Carta of 1215

Sherwood and the Forest of Dean, like many others, are protected by ancient laws going back to the Magna Carta of 1215 but will be sold off after the present government has pushed through a law to repeal these ancient laws, and thus remove protection that has been in place for 795 years.

For me, this is one of the most stupid acts by any government since Tony Blair and his cronies opened the doors wide for immigration, and just goes to prove that all governments have their share of idiots.

Sherwood Forest

You may well ask why I am in such a ‘tizwoz’ over what to many people will seem ‘just a few trees’, but I strongly believe there is a direct link between the loss of so many trees in the world during the last forty years and global warming.

The most startling evidence to hand is the state of the Amazonian and Far Eastern rain forests which have for years been decimated by the ‘slash and burn’ techniques used by poor farmers.

The Amazon

It may have escaped your notice, but unbelievably the Amazon is suffering from drought this year with hundreds of rivers and tributaries that feed it drying up completely. Drought in a rain forest must start alarm bells ringing in even the most stupid and uncaring of people.

Slash and Burn Destruction On a Massive Scale

Over the last four decades thousands upon thousands of square miles have been chopped down, used for farming and then left barren. It has been proven that once the vegetation has been removed the ground is good for one, maybe two years of crops before it becomes infertile, and therefore, more is cut down to continue the process. The sad thing is, the forest cannot recoup this loss and the land turns to scrub i.e. fit for nothing.

The following video amply demonstrates what we are doing to our planet, and ourselves:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzK2XITThZM&feature=fvw

Scientists and environmentalists have been telling us for years that erosion of the Amazon for example will lead to major changes in the worlds weather patterns, and so it has, although most people have not yet made the link.

Every year we hear of bigger, more powerful hurricanes and typhoons, floods and landslides all over the world with unusually excessive rainfall. If we continue ridding ourselves of forests and jungle at the current rate we will soon be at the mercy of the weather like never before.

A deadly Landslide

Many people fail to see the relationship between trees and landslides for example, a phenomenon appearing in the news with rapidly increasing regularity causing death and destruction on a wide scale. Looking at news camera footage it is often evident that the slopes that collapsed were denuded of trees. People living in these areas do not seem to comprehend that trees are essential on a slope because they bind the soil together and therefore prevent such catastrophe’s.

It is indeed sad the government plans to rid England of most its forests for they are in many ways quite unique, and this all in the name of the great god ‘Profit’.

Protected for 795 Years

According to a ‘source’ close to the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs they are “looking to energize our forests by bringing in fresh ideas and investment, and by putting conservation in the hands of local communities”. Now if that is not “twaddle’ I don’t know what is! How can we ‘revitalize’ our forests by chopping them down and building holiday parks?

“Putting conservation in the hands of local communities” sounds to me like passing the buck, big time! Once the forests are sold off and we see huge theme parks and golf courses in place the rats in Parliament can wash their hands and say; “it wasn’t us!”

GIve Me A Future – PLEASE!

I do so wish people could open up their minds and see what we are doing to our world, for the mistakes we make now will be felt by all mankind in future generations.

Nature is all about balance and our survival depends on us maintaining that balance. Trees, along with the plankton in the oceans, are our major sources of oxygen on the planet and without them we would not inhabit this world for long. Both of these essential ‘life partners’ are being threatened as never before in the history of the world.

Huge Tracts of Rain Forest Gone Forever

By far the most dangerous is the decimation of the Earth’s forests and fauna that has gathered momentum over the past four decades. When you consider the sheer size of the tracts of forest that are destroyed annually in the Amazon Basin it must give any sane person reason to stop and think. The problem exists all over the world for the forests are disappearing in Africa and the Far East as well as South America.

The Amazon Rain Forests have been proven by Meteorologists to be the driving force behind the weather patterns for countries bordering the Atlantic Ocean, i.e. Central and Northern America, West Africa and Europe. The effects of the Amazon River, the second largest in the world, are felt deep into the Atlantic. It has been shown that even two hundred miles off the coast of the mouth of this great river samples of fresh water have been taken from the ocean, such is the force of the huge mass of water carried by the Amazon.

Hurricane Katrina

You have to ask yourself, where are the hurricanes that plague Central and North America born? Normally in the central Atlantic off the coast of Northern South America. These hurricanes have become increasingly powerful over the last two decades and the destruction of those like Katrina will be nothing to what is waiting in the wings. My first reaction, when hearing about Katrina on the news was; “Get used to it!” for it is certain we will see the power of hurricanes increase significantly as we continue to destroy the balance in Nature.

Compared to the Amazon, the destruction of British forests is but a drop in a bucket, but many drops will fill any size bucket you care to have.

You only have to look at all the other signs of change around the world to see the significance of what is happening. It was recently announced that ‘The Dead Sea’ in Palestine will cease to exist by 2050 because it is drying up. Watch the CBS News report on:

http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=2213582n

The Sahara Desert in North Africa, The Kalahari Desert in South Africa and the Gobi Desert in Mongolia are all extending their boundaries at a steady pace.

A Lone Survivor in the Desert

The most significant of these is the Sahara that has enlarged tremendously in the last forty years because the indigenous people are wood burners and they have steadily removed all the trees that kept the desert at bay. True, they had little choice other than to move to new areas, but the end result is the same.

All the signs are there for us to see, but so long as people worship the god ‘Money’, and continue to be self-centred and uncaring about things outside their daily lives, nothing will be done to stop the decline.

Whichever way you look at it, trees are essential for the survival of mankind on this planet, and the more we cut down, even on a small scale as in England, the closer we come to our extinction as a race.

Roy.
