Brexit! Who Can You Really Believe?

Posted in America, Benefits, Britain, Budget Cuts, David Cameron, Elections, European Union, Human Rights, Immigration, News with tags , , , , on 12/06/2016 by floroy1942

As the Brexit poll comes closer each side is hotting up as each accuses the other of telling outright lies. The big problem is who do you really believe?

David Cameron

David Cameron

On the ‘Stay’ side we have heard a lot of may, could, and possibly stories about what will happen if the United Kingdom leaves, but the fact is no-one knows what will really happen.

The ‘Stay’ campaign is telling us that we will go into economic free-fall, millions will lose their jobs, the export market will collapse, the pound will drop drastically, interest rates will drop, house prices and wages will collapse, and oh so many more things. It would seem from their rhetoric that we are heading for the complete annihilation of our country.

But to me, this is all supposition and scare tactics designed to persuade the electorate to vote to stay in the E.U. They, like everybody else, do not have any idea what the effects will be on the country and how the E.U. will react.

We have contracts with many countries to export goods that are essential to their industry and I cannot see these companies suddenly cancelling them the day after the results are known.

Car Parts For The E.U.

Car Parts For The E.U.

What about the car manufacturing business? If they stopped all parts made in Britain their factories would have to close down for maybe months until a new supplier is found. British workers make a lot of parts for companies like Volkswagen, Audi, Opel and many others. The same goes for other businesses on the continent, many of whom rely on British made parts for their machines etc. There is no way this trade will suddenly stop if we vote ‘Out’.

Another area of controversy is Cameron’s insistence that our economy will suddenly take a nosedive. I am fully prepared to admit that we may see a slowing down of the economy until such time as we can sell goods to other countries across the world. Another thing he insists on is that house prices will drop to drastic levels, wages will hit rock bottom, and many things will  get a lot more expensive. Cameron also insists that the NHS and pensions will take drastic cuts.

It is all supposition designed to persuade people to vote to stay in the Union. Cameron and his cronies have been ‘suppositioning’ for long enough, and its time we heard the truth from them.

Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson

On the other hand, the ‘Leave’ campaign have also done their share of  ‘telling porkies’, but in my view to a much less extent. Both Boris Johnson and Michael Gove have been accused of lying about the huge influx of Turks that will invade our country if the E.U. agreement with Turkey on visa free travel goes ahead. I for one do not think they are lying. I think we will see a huge number of Turks moving to our country, all wanting to take advantage of our generous benefits system.

If we vote ‘Out’ we will be able to close our borders securely and let in only those who can be a benefit to the country like skilled workers. We can put a stop to all the Muslim migrants who are coming here to benefit from free money and accommodation.

We can also get rid of the Human Rights farce that is making a mockery of our Justice System. We can then deport all Muslims who are causing trouble in our land with their demonstrations for an Islamic State. We can rid ourselves of all the Muslim and other nationality criminals who are filling up our prison system. All positive advantages that the idiots in Strasbourg deny us.

Another bone of contention is the supposed £359m that we pay to the E.U. every week. Many have come out and said that this is not true for the actual figure is £17m a week. Even that to me is a huge sum of money when you consider it, £884m over a year. As Boris Johnson says, That could go a long way to solving all our problems with the NHS which is being stretched to the limits by immigrants.

Michael Gove

Michael Gove

There are of course many other arguments that are bouncing back and forth, but the one thing that sticks in my craw as I have said before, is the plan by those in Brussels  to form the ‘United States of Europe’ under their direct control. Eventually this will mean that all national governments will be wound up as complete control is handed over to Brussels. This I cannot vote for under any circumstances. Anyone who does not believe this should read about the Brussels plan to have every national flag emboldened with the twelve gold stars of the Union.

Union Flags?

Union Flags?

I have already reported on the fact that should Britain leave there are other countries that may well follow. In Germany, France, Holland, Denmark and several other counties there is a growing movement to also hold a referendum on staying in the E.U. Should this happen I can see the end of the Union, and it will take years for all countries to recover.

There can be little doubt that both sides are exaggerating the facts, but for me, I come down on the side of Boris Johnson and Michael Gove. It’s time we got out of this mess we call the European Union.

Downing Street Shenanigans!

Posted in America, Britain, David Cameron, Elections, England, European Union, Government, News, Politics, UK with tags , , , , on 22/05/2016 by floroy1942

Says It All!There can be little doubt that David Cameron is using every trick in the book to persuade the people to vote for not leaving the European Union. He is now guilty of telling outright lies in an effort to swing the vote his way.

He has been accused of offering knighthoods to many business leaders to persuade them to publicly denounce the ‘Out’ campaign. Some of them have been bold enough to order every worker in the company to vote ‘In’, and he has come up with so much rubbish when addressing the people that its just incredible.

He warns that prices will rise in the supermarkets for example and add £220 a year to everyone’s shopping bill. He says that it will cause a war in Europe, now where on earth did he get that from? People in the Treasury are saying that our economy will collapse if we leave. What a load of hogwash.

We may well go through some hard times for a short while, but when we get into the throes of international trade things will improve and we will be better off. No-one should imagine that every company we do business with in Europe will suddenly cancel contracts with U.K. firms.

This is but two examples of the rubbish he is sprouting in order to get everyone to vote ‘In’. He has done some crafty work behind the scenes to get many business leaders to back the ‘In’ campaign, and also many government departments, the NHS leaders are also on the list, along with many other organizations.

All I have to say is that if you believe all this bullshit coming out of Cameron, his minions and friends, then you deserve to be a part of the State of Europe, which is the aim of those in Brussels who want to rule the whole continent.

It is time we became a sovereign nation once again, where we the people can determine what we do. We desperately need to close our borders before being totally overrun with immigrants, and also we have to get rid of the Human Rights idiots in Strasbourg so that the nation can get back a proper justice system.

Weekend Fun – Again!

Time for a little more nonsense which I hope will cheer you up and make you smile:

The Time Machine:

Barak Obama and David Cameron are shown a time machine which can see 100 years into the future. They both decide to test it by asking a question each. Barak goes first. “What will the USA be like in 100 years time?” The machine whirs and beeps and goes into action and gives him a  printout, he reads it out “The country is in good hands under the new president, crime is non-existent,There is no conflict, the economy is healthy. There are no worries”

David thinks “It’s not bad this time machine, I’ll have a bit of that” so he asks: “What will England be like in 100 years time?”   The machine whirs and beeps and goes into action, and he gets a printout.   But he just stares at it. “Come on David” says Barak, “What does it say” David replies, “Buggered if I know! It’s not in English!”

Media

Never Lose Your Grandson! A heart-warming story:

My small grandson got lost in the supermarket so he approached a uniformed security guard and said, “I’ve lost my grandpa!”

The guard asked, “What’s he like?” The little devil hesitated for a moment and then replied, “Gordon’s Gin and women with big tits.”

Man’s Eternal Weakness:

I hate all  this terrorist business. I used to love the days when you could look at an  unattended bag on a train or bus and think to yourself. I’m going to take  that.’

A fat girl served me in McDonald’s at lunchtime. She said ‘sorry about the wait’. I said, ‘Don’t worry, you’ll find a way to lose it eventually’.

Driving

The Gunfighter:

A young cowboy sitting in a saloon one Saturday night recognized an elderly man standing at the bar who, in his day, had been the fastest gun in the West. The cowboy took a place next to the old-timer, bought him a drink and told him of his great ambition to be a great shot. ‘Can you give me some tips?’ he asked.

The old man said, ‘Well, for one thing, you’re wearing your gun too high – tie the holster a little lower down on your leg.’ ‘Will that make me a better gunfighter?’ ‘Sure will’

The young man did as he was told, stood up, whipped out his .44 and shot the bow tie off the piano player. ‘That’s terrific!’ said the cowboy. ‘Got any more tips?’

‘Yep,’ said the old man. ‘Cut a notch out of your holster where the hammer hits it – that’ll give you a smoother draw.’ ‘Will that make me a better gunfighter?’ asked the young man. ‘You bet it will,’ said the old-timer.

The young man took out his knife, cut the notch, stood up, drew his gun in a blur, and then shot a cuff-link off the piano player. ‘Wow!’ exclaimed the cowboy ‘I’m learnin’ somethin’ here. Got any more tips?’

The old man pointed to a large can in a corner of the saloon. ‘See that axle grease over there? Coat your gun with it.’ The young man smeared some of the grease on the barrel of his gun. ‘No,’ said the old-timer, ‘I mean smear it all over the gun, handle and all.’

‘Will that make me a better gunfighter?’ asked the young man. ‘No,’ said the old-timer, ‘but when Wyatt Earp gets done playing the piano, he’s gonna shove that gun up your ass, and it won’t hurt as much.’

The ‘Silver’ Surfers:

As we Silver Surfers know, sometimes we have trouble with our computers. Yesterday, I had a problem, so I called Georgie, the 11 year old next door, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, and asked him to come over. Georgie clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.

As he was walking away, I called after him, ‘So, what was wrong? He replied, ‘It was an ID ten T error.’ I didn’t want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, ‘An, ID ten T error? What’s that? In case I need to fix it again.’

Georgie grinned‘Haven’t you ever heard of an ID ten T error before? ‘No,’ I replied. ‘Write it down,’ he said, ‘and I think you’ll figure it out.’

So I wrote down: ID10T. I used to like Georgie, the little shithead.

Who Needs a Dictionary When You Have Dads:

A small boy has a school homework question to answer, so he asks his father “Dad, what’s the difference between ‘theoretically’ and  ‘realistically’?”
His dad thinks and then says “Right-o son, go and ask your Mother if she’d sleep with David Beckham for a million quid.” …
The boy runs off and comes back saying “Dad, dad, she said she would! She would sleep with David Beckham for a million pounds.”
“OK son,” says his dad. “Now go and ask your sister the same question.” The boy runs off, and comes back saying “Dad, dad”, she said “she would too!”
So then his dad says “Right, son, now go and ask your brother if he’d sleep with David Beckham for a million pounds.”
The son comes back excitedly saying “Dad! Dad! He said he would too!”
Well there you have it, son,” said his dad. “Theoretically the family could be sitting on three million quid. Realistically we’re living with two tarts and a poof.”

Spelling Errors

Mr & Mr Elton John

They had their sperm mixed together and a surrogate mother was artificially inseminated. When the baby was born Elton and David were ushered into a ward where a dozen babies were lying in their cots, eleven of them crying and screaming. In the corner, one baby was lying serenely.

A nurse came over to both of them and indicated that the happy child was theirs. “Isn’t it wonderful?” Elton asked David. “All these crying babies…and yet our baby is so content. This just proves the superiority of gay love!
“The nurse said, “Oh sure, he’s happy now, but just watch what happens when I pull the dummy out of his arse….”

That’s it for this time. I hope it makes your day go with a smile.

Come Back Winston! Britain Needs You – Again!

Posted in Britain, England, Government, Government Spending, Insanity, Liberal Party, MP's, Parliament, Royal Navy, UK with tags , , , , on 14/06/2011 by floroy1942

I dread to think what would have happened in 1939 if we had had the present government. Thankfully we didn’t, we had Winston Churchill and survived.

OK Winston - You Can Start With Today's Government!

It depresses me somewhat when I see Cameron and Clegg’s handling of the defence budget. Now, the First Sea Lord, a post held very successfully by Winston Churchill, has come out in opposition to the cuts made by the government. Sir Mark Stanhope made the message very clear, if the Libyan campaign goes on for more than 90 days we will, militarily, be in trouble.

HMS Ark Royal In The Falklands

He severely criticised the loss of the carrier Ark Royal and its fleet of Harrier jets, saying they would have been far more effective against Colonel Gaddafi than the RAF flying from bases in Italy, which, let’s face it, you can’t argue with. The Italian bases are one and a half hours flying time from the action, whereas Ark Royal’s aircraft would have been a mere twenty minutes away.

He made it quite clear however that he was not calling for a reversal of the Ark Royal/Harrier decision for it had been accepted by the Navy.

Says It All Really!

It was his opinion that should the campaign run on beyond the ninety day limit currently set, ships from home waters would be needed to fill the gap in the Mediterranean. So what the hell would we do if we got involved in a real war?

His remarks will no doubt be seen as an embarrassment to the Prime Minister and his deputy, but hey! If the truth hurts….tough! But not to worry, our illustrious armed forces chief General Sir David Richards, has said there is absolutely no cause for alarm and everything is under control. Yea right! He sounds like a politician.

Politicians always look firstly at defence when they need to make cuts in spending. Our armed forces have been cut to the bone during the last two decades and there will sure as hell come a time when we, as a country, will regret their rash decisions.

Plenty Around!

At home billions of pounds are squandered each year on inefficient bureaucracy and lame projects that in the long term do not work. New government departments are set up at huge cost only to close down within months. We are overrun with bureaucrats who do nothing positive to earn their inflated salaries, because in many areas of government there are ten managers working where one will be sufficient.

Billions Wasted on Such Items

Governmental departments waste billions of pounds annually when paying outrageously inflated prices (300-400%) for things like copier ink cartridges and other office materials.

All this is going on from year to year but who gets hammered when its budget cut time, you guessed it, the military.

HMS Cumberland - Scrapped

It is no wonder US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates expressed his dissatisfaction at the recent NATO meeting. With the loss of Ark Royal (our last remaining carrier) and its Harrier jets, as well as the surveillance aircraft Nimrod plus a few other ships like HMS Cumberland, we are eating into the ability of our military to fulfill its commitments, and more serious, defend our island.

Sure, money does have to be saved to get us out of the monstrous debt which was Labour’s legacy to the present government, but there are better and more efficient ways than clobbering the military, like starting with government itself.

There Will Come A Time....Soon!

I have no doubt there will come a time, in I would think about five years, when we will need our armed forces badly but to find out why you will need to read my next post. There can be little doubt that if we continue as we are they will not be able to help us. Only time will tell if I am right or not.

A New Form Of Parasite Living Among Us

Posted in Benefits, Britain, Budget Cuts, England, Government, Government Spending, Immigration, MP's, News, UK with tags , , , , , on 05/06/2011 by floroy1942

It will come as a surprise to many, me included, that Britain has until now, a new form of parasite being subsidised by the tax payer. New government proposals to evict rich people living in council accommodation, which is heavily subsidised by local councils, have been put forward.

Plymouth Almshouses From 1490 Demolished In 1868

The idea of council housing, and council estates, began in the late 19th century when local councils built houses and later tower blocks to house people who could not afford their own home. Tenants paid a modest rent which was subsidised by the council, i.e. the tax payer. All maintenance and upkeep was carried out by the council who owned the property.

The idea came from the so-called almshouses which began in the 10th century as a means of providing homes for poor and distressed people. The basic plan has undergone many changes over the years with in particular, the Housing of the Working Classes Act of 1890, the Housing Act of 1930, and much more recently, the Right to Buy Act of 1979.

Council Houses After WW2

Over the last three decades the waiting lists for housing have grown longer and longer, aggravated by the large families of the 1940’s and 50’s and the huge increase in immigrants in recent years. For the last two decades in particular, the housing shortage has been acute.

Considering the housing was intended for low-income families, it is quite a surprise to find from the news report that many families are earning more than £100,000 a year but still living in council accommodation. Needless to say, this is against the spirit of the plan, especially when there are thousands waiting for housing across the country.

News

Kick Out The Fat Cats Bob?

One such person, quoted in the report, is “RMT union boss Bob Crow, who is reportedly paid more than £100,000 but still lives in a council property”. When you consider that the subsidy paid by the tax payer for a single four bedroom house in London is £70,000 a year it soon adds up. It is scandalous to say the least, that someone earning as much as Bob Crow should still be receiving such accommodation from the council.

Modern Council Estate

Of the eight million people still living in social or council houses, government estimates put the figure at some 6,000 families who earn more than £100,000 a year. So if you do the sums, that means somewhere in the region of £400m is being spent to subsidise these people. I must admit, considering the number of people who earn less than half that amount are queuing by the thousands for accommodation it does not seem fair, and of course, its not fair to the tax-payer either.

News Report:

I am by nature non-political, but I have to applaud this move by the coalition government for it is the first to have ever tackled this problem. If they are successful, they will free up much-needed housing for those in desperate need. It will mean an end to the rule that council housing is for life, and that must be a good thing to combat those who become wealthy and can afford their own home.

Crackdown On Incapacity Benefits – About Damn Time!

Posted in Benefits, Britain, Budget Cuts, Demonstration, England, Equality, Government, Government Spending, Health, Human Rights, Justice, MP's, Parliament, Theft, UK with tags , , , , , , , , , on 05/04/2011 by floroy1942

At last we may have a government with the balls (Not Ed) to tackle a scandal that has been going on for years, that of false incapacity claimants. Currently the number of people claiming this benefit is approximately 3.2 million of the workforce (i.e. 1 in 10), and a high percentage of them are completely false or only partially true.

Benefit Fraud - What Benefit Fraud?

It seems that during the Labour years no-one was checking up on these people to find out their real situation. No surprise there!

http://www.youtube.com/embed/_QysHL-JOwQ

Illegal incapacity benefit payments are costing the honest citizens of our country billions every year. I ask you, what other country in the world has 10% of its workforce incapacitated? Its ridiculous!

It seems that until now no-one was prepared to do much about it, so don’t whine because the Tory/Liberal Coalition is trying to do something about it. At least they have the guts to tackle this major drain on government resources, unlike their predecessors!

http://www.youtube.com/embed/XumYGoF4EOo

Shashi Bacheta, 52, And Jeffrey Cole, 58, Why Should They Enjoy A Life In The Sun At Your Expense?

With the entire benefits system in such a mess, it has been easy for people to bamboozle their way into a free and easy life where they do not have to lift a finger to help themselves. From incapacity benefits to children’s allowance, from unemployment benefit to housing allowance everybody is at it, and the system is so broken that just about anybody can get themselves a free ride through life.

http://www.youtube.com/embed/lrZAMnkfCh4

You Are Missing The Point!

Its no wonder the TUC had such a good turnout for their demonstration last week, these people have never had it so good and of course they don’t want things to change! At the odd times Labour has seen fit to carry out checks they have caught incapacity benefit cheats every time. The present government estimate is that there are at least half-a-million people drawing full benefit but are able to do at least some form of work. Now if that doesn’t get your attention nothing will!

http://www.youtube.com/embed/fW1IbSewDnc

The government is attempting to reduce the number of claimants in a programme that will go on until 2014, and I say good luck to them. It is at least a decade overdue that these parasites were exposed and put to work.

Yes Well - Don't Forget The 'Parasites' YOU Support!

Why, as an honest person who pays their taxes regularly, should you foot the bill to provide these people with a lifestyle that in some cases is better than your own?

https://floroy1942.wordpress.com/2010/04/13/land-of-the-parasites/

It is time for the honest citizen to demonstrate in favour of the government crackdown on these lowlifes. Let your voices be heard and get these people earning an honest living like the rest of us!

http://www.youtube.com/embed/9oZ6SDliAQI

It just goes to show how easy it is for people to fool the system when we had such an unprincipled government like the last one.

African Countries Dare To Criticise Libya Action: Bloody Cheek!

Posted in Arab, Britain, England, Europe, Muslim, Security Council, UK, UN, United Nations, USA with tags , , , , , , , , , , on 22/03/2011 by floroy1942

The old saying: “People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones” comes to mind when I look at the latest news about Libya. It seems that after their initial success in getting western nations to solve what is after all an Arab, and by extension an African problem, now members of the African Union are ‘jumping on the bandwagon’ to criticise the way we are handling the situation.

Un Resolution 1973

Firstly, the African Union voted for Resolution 1973 in the United Nations which allows for “all necessary action to secure the no-fly zone”, and secondly, if they did not trust the west to do the job right, why didn’t they do it themselves?

Meddling! So Why Didn't You Do Something?

It’s true what they say you know: ‘You can’t please all the people all the time’, but I do find it extremely petty of the African nations; Uganda, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Namibia and Nigeria, whose leaders have come out in open criticism of the way the no-fly zone is being enforced.  Namibia’s President Hifikepunye Pohamba was even audacious enough to suggest that the coalition bombing was “meddling in the internal affairs of Africa”.

Zuma - Strong Words

Mr. Zuma of South Africa went even further, saying that all military action should stop and a ceasefire be sought for he: “rejected any foreign intervention, whatever its form”. Funny that, coming from a man who agreed to Resolution 1973!!!

Some African politicians, like Odein Ajumogobia the Nigerian Foreign Minister, have argued why the western powers ‘chose to intervene in Libya and not for example, in Bahrain or Ivory Coast’? The answer is quite simple; We were not asked!!!

The western nations, despite what some people like to think, are not the worlds policemen and it is up to individual countries to solve their own internal problems. However, if the United Nations gets involved because a population is being massacred by a madman, and the Arab League requests action, we will do all we can to help. I for sure have not heard of any Arab nation requesting UN help with the protests in Bahrain. Have you?

The Union of African States

It makes me sick to hear the continual whining of these spineless politicians who leave it to western nations to ‘carry the load’ at their behest, and when we do, can’t wait to sharpen their long knives. In my opinion, if you don’t have the courage of your convictions, stay out of politics!

When this is all over, I have the nasty feeling that the coalition nations are once again going to be crapped upon from a great height by the nations that should by rights be grateful that we are sorting out this problem, i.e. The Arab League and the African Union members.

President Sarkozy

During the interminable weeks the UN was discussing the issue, and people were dying on the ground I might add, neither the African Union nor Arab League raised a finger to help the people of Libya. All they could do was sit around the table wringing their hands and mumbling into their coffee cups! Without the persistence of people like Nicholas Sarkozy (France) and David Cameron (UK) they would still be at it.

Gaddafi - Not Quite Got All His Marbles?

There should be little doubt in anyone’s mind that had Gaddafi been able to finish the job, there would have followed a massacre of anyone even remotely connected with the revolution. He is well-known as being a little ‘off balance’, and his rambling speeches during the crisis gave a good idea as to his intentions.

Without a doubt, when the dust finally settles, the people of Libya will be well within their rights to ask the Arab and African nations why they did not help them much sooner.

I sometimes think the world would be better off without politicians!

Roy.
