Brexit

What is happening with Brexit? We are groping towards a showdown with the European Union and we do not seem to be getting any closer. Theresa May should be putting a hard fist down on Brexit but she is not doing that. We have to call an E.U. Council meeting and discuss the plans for our separation from Europe. In response we are dilly-dallying on the subject and we are not moving forward.

Theresa May seems to be going at it the wrong way, and we should force our intentions on the European Council. This has been going on long enough, and we are no closer to reaching an agreement. When an agreement is reached, and that could take a long time, we will be free of the E.U. and be able to join forces with other countries. We will have free trade with other countries, and that should have a significant advantage.

Free trade with America and Canada, Australia and many other countries. We will not be paying any high rates of taxes to E.U. and that should leave us a rich country in a few years time.

Tony Blair – The Devil’s Advocate

Tony Blair - Britain's Biggest Traitor

Tony Blair – Britain’s Biggest Traitor

After his disastrous turn as British Prime Minister this man is still out to cause trouble, this time over Brexit. Though this is not the first time he has shown himself to be against it. But now he is making front page news because he thinks the people of Britain will turn against the government and reverse their vote for Brexit. He has been accused of “insulting the intelligence” of voters and “arrogance” after he urged opponents of Brexit to “rise up” against leaving the EU.

This man was a complete disaster for Britain when he was Prime Minister because he dragged us into war with Iraq after supporting American President Bush with lies about Saddam Hussein having nuclear weapons. The Allies won the war, but the aftermath is the root cause of the terrorist problems we have today. He also did great damage to Britain by inviting unrestrained immigration of Middle Eastern people and Europeans into Great Britain. Britain is still suffering from this maniacs plan.

Now today he is trying to reverse the Brexit decision made by the people of this country with a speech. He is trying to turn the people of Britain into remaining in the European Union by reversing the poll taken last June. He said all those who voted “out” of the European Union should now start a campaign to remain, and halt the Brexit campaign.

Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson had some scathing words for Blair as he mocked him by saying, “I call on the British people to rise up and turn off the TV when Tony Blair next appears with his condescending campaign.” He added, “Now he has the bare-faced effrontery to tell the British people that they were wrong last June. He is showing a contempt for the intelligence of the electorate.”

I admit I have to agree with Boris Johnson on this one, for Blair was the worst Prime Minister this country has ever had. He has done more damage to Britain than any previous Prime Minister. I have long been of the opinion that Blair should be in prison with a life sentence for the way he sabotaged this country. The amount of damage he has done is incalculable, and Britain will pay the price for his immigration idiocy for decades to come.

Muslim School Takeover

Muslim School Takeover

Even today we are seeing the increased Muslim influence in our society. In schools they have Muslim teachers because their children are the majority in classes in some areas and have never been taught English, which means that many of the English children are left on the wayside. We have whole sections of towns and cities that have been taken over by the Muslims, and they even have Sharia Law. These areas are a ‘no-go’ for the British people, but the government has done nothing to stop this.

Due to Blair, we may well be taken over by the Muslims at some time in the future as Britain becomes an Islamic State unless something is done to reduce the number of Muslims living in our country. It is well known that the average birthrate among our own people is two, maybe three children, but the Muslims have between seven and ten children, and sometimes more, so in a generation or two when they outnumber us you can imagine what will happen.

This is all due to Tony Blair but he just cannot see it, for he alone will be responsible for the total destruction of everything British in the long term. I am just glad I am old!

The School Debate

Theresa May

Theresa May

It amazes me that so many people are up in arms about Theresa May wanting to reintroduce grammar schools. Why, what is wrong with these people? Years ago these schools were the backbone of higher education, excluding university’s of course, and they were there for the more gifted youngsters. They were a beacon for the more intelligent children who eventually got into our university’s.

Corbyn The Fool

Corbyn The Fool

From this system came our brightest scientists, industry entrepreneurs and politicians and many more. Since we no longer have proper grammar schools this has all but disappeared.

Eleven-plus Exam

Eleven-plus Exam

Britain still has 166 grammar schools but they are nothing like they used to be. We need more throughout Britain to give our children a choice in education, and an opportunity to increase their knowledge above that which is taught in secondary modern schools.

I have to say that our education system is currently a total failure, with poor teachers, classroom sizes far too big, and a total lack of discipline, all creating a generation of idiots for the most part. Naturally I do not include all children or teachers in this category. Compared to years ago, few of our children are bright enough to get to university. If we ever stopped foreign students from entering them most would close down for lack of pupils.

In Days Gone By

In Days Gone By

When I compare today’s education system with what it was like when I was a child I have to say that the entire system is a shambles. Teachers of my day knew their subject back to front and inside out. You asked a question and you got an immediate answer, whereas today many teachers must refer to the lesson material before giving an answer.

Street Thugs

Street Thugs

Discipline has gone out the window because the teacher is not allowed to take any action against an unruly pupil, except perhaps to send them out of the class. Long gone are the most effective methods of teaching a child discipline in class, and today, if any action is taken the parents will be hammering on the headmaster’s door complaining like hell. No, I’m afraid child discipline is a thing of the past, which is evident in the child and teenage thugs, thieves and killers we have in our society today. I do not blame the schools entirely for this because many parents do little to bring up their child properly.

We make no difference today between a gifted child and a fool with the current system and that is a shame. Gifted children should be given a good education to make the most of their talents in grammar schools, but they can’t currently have that when sharing a class with dunces, to use an old word.

Grammar Schools In England

Grammar Schools In England

Ever since Tony Blair had exams made easier so that he could show high pass rates  for kids the whole system has gone down the drain. Many teachers are no longer trained properly, have scant knowledge of their chosen subject and in my view are practically worthless.

If teachers were trained properly they would know their chosen subject inside out, and be able to answer any question from pupils without referring to their books. It worked years ago why not now? The answer to that is because the teachers are not trained properly, and often enter schools before they are fully qualified because of a shortage.

Could We See Another Albert Einstein?

Could We See Another Albert Einstein?

If Britain is to move forward in the current high-tech world, we have to start training our children to behave properly, learn properly and be a credit to society, not some lout always looking for a fight.

If the grammar school idea is put into practice, we have to ensure that teachers are properly qualified, and the most gifted children are allowed to attend. The 11-plus exam certainly separates the wheat from the chaff, and this is precisely what we need if this country is to move forward. We need to nurture our more brighter pupils into becoming our future leaders in science, industry and politics.

What The Hell Is Wrong With British Teens These Days

Knife Fight

Knife Fight

I read today of yet another knife attack in a crowded shopping centre in West London. Thankfully the victims wounds are not life threatening, but what does it say about the youth today? Hardly a day goes by that we do not hear on the news of someone either getting killed or attacked with a knife. Its a far cry from the days when I was young, for this type of thing never happened, but today people seem to consider it ‘normal’.

I blame the lack of proper upbringing of kids these days, where discipline has literally been thrown out the window. No longer are children brought up to respect others and have a good time without getting violent. Tempers flare at the drop of a hat and the end result is always the same.

Part of the problem of course is that they never get proper punishment because the ‘Do-Gooders’ rule the country. People like the European Human Rights Council, the Politically Correct Brigade and many others who seem to think that we should not punish criminals too hard. In today’s world murder has become a part of life and is perfectly acceptable.

These days, if you commit murder you can expect to be sentenced for up to ten years in prison, but are released in three or four years. The prisons are like holiday camps and the time served for murder is an insult to the victims and their family. What is more important, it does nothing to persuade someone to change their ways.

The Victim Of A Knife Fight

The Victim Of A Knife Fight

Old people stabbed to death for just a few measly pounds, teachers stabbed to death in their classroom, teens stabbed as the result of a silly argument – where will it all end? In a few years time everyone will need to carry an automatic rifle or a hand gun just to protect themselves and we will be like America. It seems we are headed for total anarchy in the coming years.

Now that we are getting out from under the jackboot of the European Union I sincerely hope that Theresa May will bring back a proper system of justice like we used to have. In my youth murders were seldom committed because the killer knew he would be hung if found guilty.

I know many people will not agree with this, but if we are to stop this rampant murdering of innocents and vicious attacks on our streets, then we need to bring back the death penalty. This one act would see the number of murders in a year drop through the floor, for each individual would know what awaits them if they kill someone.

Life of Luxury In Prison.

Life of Luxury In Prison.

I know of the arguments that our prisons are full to overflowing, but we can partially solve that be deporting all immigrants who commit severe crimes in the U.K. and we should build more prisons and to hell with the cost. Also, our prisons should be a place of punishment, not a holiday camp where they lounge around all day watching TV or playing computer games in their cells. Sentences should fit the crime and not restricted to three or four years for murder.

If nothing is done to seriously stop this escalation in crime everyone will live in fear for their lives in the future. The government must take some positive action to stop the rampant crime rate currently afflicting our nation. I am but a lone voice in this insane world, but it would be nice if someone in authority took notice of what I have said.

An Interesting View On Why Britain Should Leave The European Union.

Posted in America, Britain, Conservative Party, David Cameron, England, European Union, Germany, Human Rights, News, UK with tags , , , , on 12/03/2016 by floroy1942

A very interesting view on the possibilities of Britain leaving the European Union. This is quoted as being written by the well known author Frederick Forsyth who has had many successful books published. He has laid out the situation in Europe in a very clear and concise manner, as well as giving some foresight into the past and how the Union was formed, and why.

“A long time ago a very wise old man advised me thus: “If ever you are confronted by a highly complex situation and a decision cannot be avoided, never rush to an early emotional judgment. Subject the subject to the four-pronged ARID. It stands for Analyse, Research, Identify and then Decide.”  We all now face the decision: should we continue as obedient members of the EU or should we sever the link? Let me try to apply the old man’s advice.

A

Any country other than a shambolic anarchy must have a government. That said, most governmental systems end with the five-letter “cracy” derived from the Greek for “rule”. There are about 10. We know about autocracy, rule by a single tyrant. There is theocracy, rule by the priestly caste, such as Iran.  Add stratocracy, rule by the army (Egypt) and plutocracy (by the very rich). We have seen gerontocracy, with the reins of power in the hands of the extremely old – the Soviet politburo in its last days. And aristocracy, rule by the nobles, long gone.   But two are with us and visible. One is bureaucracy, government by the officials, the constant competitor for power with rule by the “demos”: the people. Democracy. It is by far the hardest to establish.  It is the most fragile, the easiest to fake with rigged elections, meaningless ceremonies and elaborate charades. I estimate about 100 phoney democracies worldwide. But ours is parliamentary democracy so let’s give it a glance.  Of course it is indirect. We cannot expect the electorate to go to the polls for every tiny decision. So we divide the country into 650 constituencies with one MP for each. The party with the most MPs in Westminster governs for five years. At the pinnacle is the Cabinet and, with encircling junior ministers, forms the Government, which I will call the power.  But there is more. The power is held to account, not five-yearly, not annually or monthly but every day. Doing this is the official Opposition but also the backbench MPs even of the government party. This “holding to account” is vital. Assisting these critics is hopefully a free and unafraid press.

I have travelled very widely, seen the good, the bad and the very ugly and have come firmly to the view that with all its flaws the British parliamentary form of democracy is the best in the world. Not for those in power but for the people who between elections still have a voice. It is against this template that we can judge the system of the EU.

R

Just after the war a group of men, politicians, thinkers, intellectuals and theorists, formed around Frenchman Jean Monnet, became convinced that what they had witnessed at close quarters – the utter destruction of their continent in a vicious war – must never, ever, happen again. It was not a bad view-point, indeed it was a noble one.  They then analysed the problem and came up with two solutions. The first was that the various and disparate nations of Europe west of the Iron Curtain must somehow be unified into one under a single government. They accepted that this might take two, even three generations but must be done. This was not an ignoble vision.  It was their second conclusion to which I take exception. The whole group was mesmerised by one fact. In 1933 the Germans, seized by rabid nationalism, voted Adolf Hitler into power. Their conclusion: the people, any people, were too obtuse, too gullible, too dim ever to be safely entrusted with the power to elect their government.  People’s democracy was flawed and should never be permitted to decide government again if war was to be avoided. Real power would have to be confined to a non-elective body of enlightened minds like theirs.

In the 70 years since, the theory has never changed. It remains exactly the same today. The British Cabinet has power and may delegate that power to a wide range of civil servants: police chiefs, generals, bureaucrats. But it itself remains elective. The people can change it via the polling booth. Not in the EU. The difference is absolutely fundamental. They realised, those founders, that there would have to be façades erected to persuade the gullible that democracy had not been abolished in the new utopia. There is indeed a European Parliament – but with a difference.  In London it is the Commons that is the law-giver, the Upper House is the vetting and endorsing chamber. In Brussels the EU Parliament has no lower house, it is the endorsing chamber. It ratifies what the real power, the non-elective European Commission, has decided.  The broad masses would also have to be convinced that the purpose of the Monnet utopia was economic and thus about prosperity. This untruth has prevailed to this day and is the main plank of the establishment propaganda in our present British decision-making.  In fact the final destination of the EU is entirely political. It is the complete political, legal and constitutional unification of the continent of Europe into a single entity: the State of Europe. This clearly cannot make war against itself, thus guaranteeing peace. Albeit without democracy.

It is amazing how many intelligent people have fallen for this fiction. Thus David Cameron can tell us with a straight face that he repudiates the three pillars of the EU – the doctrine of even closer union, a single external border but no internal ones (Schengen) and a single currency (eurozone) – but still thinks we will sit at the top table. He believes the EU is about trade and tariffs. No, that’s what we thought we joined.

I

Back in the 1960s one British premier (Macmillan) after another (Heath) came to the view that with the empire departing into independence and the USA becoming more protectionist our economic days were numbered. If the world beyond the oceans was not communist it was Third World, meaning impoverished.  Both premiers became convinced the future lay east across the Channel. Back then the union was six countries: Germany, France, Italy, plus minnows Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg. Wealthy, especially Germany, booming. Just the trading partners we needed.  So under Heath we joined the Common Market. As a trading nation for centuries we were delighted to do so. Then the lies began. It would never go further, we were told. The Six became the Nine but all in western Europe.   Heath lied to us. He said there would never be any question of “transfer of significant sovereignty”. He had read the whole Treaty of Rome. No one else had. He knew this was just the tip of the iceberg.

Then in 1992 came the Maastricht Treaty. We were told it was just tidying up loose ends. More lies. It was transformational. It created the European Union. Slowly, decree by decree, rule by rule, law by law, our ancient right to govern ourselves the way we wanted to be governed and by whom was transferred from London to Brussels. Today 60% of all laws are framed in Brussels, not London.  The lies multiplied. The entire establishment, much espoused of power without accountability, has become hugely enamoured of the new governmental system. Less and less need to consult those wretched people, the voters.  It is no coincidence that the five professions that worship power – politicians, bureaucrats, diplomats, quangocrats and lawyers, plus the two that lust for money, bankers/ financiers and tycoons – today constitute almost the whole of the stay-in campaign. Almost to a man.  And the lies proliferate. “There is no intention to proceed to a superstate.” Really? Read the Treaty of Rome. That is the whole point of the EU. What is not said is that in a unified continent there can be no place for the independent, autonomous, self-governing sovereign nation/state.  The two are a contradiction in terms. Only here in the UK is that denied. In Brussels it is accepted as wholly obvious. “The end of nation” is regarded as a work in progress. Endgame is foreseen as a decade, maybe two.

D

The referendum decision of June 23 will be the last ever, the decision permanent. So this is your choice. This is about the country in which we will spend the rest of our lives, the land we will pass on to our children and grandchildren.  What kind of a country, what kind of a governmental system? People’s democracy or officialdom’s empire? Our right to hold power to account or just two duties: to pay and obey? For me it is simple and takes just five words. I want my country back.”

Certainly ‘food for thought’.

British Muslims Defend Radicals?

Muslim Reaction To The 'Prevent' Programme

Muslim Reaction To The ‘Prevent’ Programme

Some time ago the British government tried to enlist the help of the Muslim population in tracking down radicals. It would seem the plan failed miserably.

The Challenge In Europe

The Challenge In Europe

It was called the ‘Prevent Programme’, and was intended to halt the radicalization of young Muslims, and to stop them being persuaded to fight in Syria or Iraq by radicals. All it entailed was for Muslim people to be watchful for any attempts to radicalize others, and to report them. It would seem the Muslim population has no intention of giving up these dangerous people.

Security Minister John Hayes said, “This year we introduced the Prevent duty, which requires key bodies across the country, including local government, prisons and schools, to have due regard to preventing people from being drawn into terrorism. Prevent is about protecting those who might be vulnerable to the poisonous and pernicious influence of radicalization. The programme is already working with hundreds of mosques, faith groups and community organisations”.

Unfortunately the Muslim population of Britain doesn’t see it that way. It would appear that Muslim parents are not prepared to assist the government in any way in preventing their sons and daughters from becoming Islamic State terrorists.

Radical Islam At Work

Radical Islam At Work

“Despite claims to the contrary, ‘Prevent’ almost exclusively targets young Muslims for the views they hold on religion or issues such as government foreign policy. Schools and teachers are cast in the role of spies on our young people. This is leading to increasing division and to a breakdown of trust in schools and colleges,” Muslim leaders said. Earlier in December 2015, the Waltham Forest Council of Mosques openly announced a total boycott of Prevent.

During the year up to June a total of 3,288 referrals were made to the Prevent Project, but a mere 280, or 8.6%, were actually from Muslims. The majority of the information came from public bodies outside policing, such as social services, NHS or education sectors. The rest came from the police and the prison system.

From the above figures it is very clear that Muslims are not prepared to give up the radicals that hide among them, for if they were, the number would be much higher than the 280 recorded. This makes the outlook very bleak, for as we all know, there are literally hundreds of Islamic State fighters coming to European shores claiming to be refugees, and once they get organized I believe all hell will break loose.

From the failure of the Prevent Programme in the UK it would seem that ordinary Muslims will not be willing to turn them over to the authorities, even if they move in next door. As you would expect, this will make it very much harder for the various country’s authorities to track down these I.S. militants should they move into their area.

Refugees?Looking at the news pictures and TV News coverage of the refugees arriving in Europe, it is easy to see that the greater majority of them are young men without families. Now I am not saying that all these young men are I.S. militants, but it is a fair bet that very many of them are. Why else would they flee their country in time of war without their families?

I leave you to decide what you do or do not believe!

Roy.
