Why Is Abu Qatada Still Here?

Posted in Al Quada, Arab, Britain, England, Europe, Extradition, Human Rights, Insanity, Justice, UK with tags , , , on 28/05/2012 by floroy1942

Some weeks ago Abu Qatada, considered by all to be “Osama bin Laden’s right-hand man in Europe”, had his ‘final’ appeal to the International Court rejected and has still not been deported to Jordan. Why? Now his lawyers are trying to get him released on bail.

This S.O.B. Will Not Be Smiling When He Eventually Gets To Jordan!

After trying to get rid of him for ten years the door appeared to be finally closing on this disgraceful episode in english law, but still it lingers on like a bad dream. It seems, according to his lawyers, that he should not remain in prison but be allowed out on bail because they were assembling ‘significant evidence’ which would not be ready until September. Consequently, Mr Justice Mitting has said that both sides should be ready for a hearing in October. So now the saga drags on for a further five months while the defence gathers what to me would be questionable evidence against the Jordanian legal system. It smacks to me of yet another delaying tactic on the part of his defence team, much like Iran’s attempts at stalling the UN nuclear inspection team.

According to his defence lawyers, they will continue to bring his case before the International Court if his appeal is turned down in October or November. Really, how can the law be such an ass as to let this man make a mockery of justice? How many appeals are the judges going to allow before he is finally on the plane? Could it possibly be that he will spend the rest of his miserable life in one appeal court after another until he finally croaks of old age? To me it just shows that the criminals these days are much more clever than the judges, and the law is an absolute farce.

Personally, I think it is way past time for all this ‘pussy-footing’ around and the Home Secretary should put him on a plane before weeks end and to hell with the consequences. Once in Jordan he is (a) no longer our problem, and (b) he can protest and wave his ‘evidence’ in the judges face as often as he wants.

This miserable excuse for a human being has already cost the British tax payer £3 million in court costs, plus further millions in benefit payments to his family, so it is high time Mrs May grabbed the bull by the horns and sent him on his merry way – hopefully all the way to Hell! Mind you, he is probably expecting Paradise with a hundred virgins, but with all these Islamic promises of virgins in the afterlife, it makes me think they are all just dirty old men!

How Many More Appeals is Abu Qatada To Be Allowed?

Posted in Benefits, Britain, England, Extradition, Human Rights, Insurgents, Justice, Prison, Terrorists, UK with tags , , , on 18/04/2012 by floroy1942

Britain’s number one security threat Abu Qatada has it would seem once more been allowed to appeal his deportation order. It’s incredible! After negotiations with the Jordanian government the Home Secretary Theresa May has received assurances from that government that Qatada will get a fair trial. All concerns raised by his last appeal to the Court of Human Rights (ICHR) in January have therefore been met to the full, but his lawyers state they wish to appeal now to the higher Grand Chamber. What the hell is going on here?

No Wonder The S.O.B. Is Smiling!

The man has already spent the last ten years since his initial arrest appealing to one court or another, and has managed to delay deportation for all that time. How much longer is he going to make an ass of the legal system? I can understand the frustration of the Home Office on hearing that this animal’s lawyers managed to lodge yet another appeal at the last second, although the timing of it is by all accounts suspect.

I would hope that the next time the green light is given for his deportation to Jordan he is put on a plane within minutes, and to hell with his human rights, for he doesn’t seem to think we ‘infidels’ have any!

Qatada's Mother - Living Off The Fat Of Our Land

This entire farce has gone on for ten long years, and I might add, at tax payers expense! It is unbelievable that one terrorist could cost the country so much money, for in that period the cost must have risen to many tens of millions. The British tax payer has not only paid for his incarceration and many appeals, but also for his wife and family during this whole unsavoury period.

Is it any wonder that it can take years to get a case through the ICHR when criminals like Qatada are allowed not one, not two, but many after a ruling is made. Forget not that Qatada is not the only one making appeals to the ICHR, who knows how many are bogging down the system. It is about time this body got its act together and made it mandatory that no more than one appeal is allowed on any ruling made by them. Should this be done we could well see the backlog of cases disappear in a few short months.

Disappointment

Lawyers today seem to think they can keep appealing time after time until they get the verdict they want. Justice should not work like that! Anyone in a court gets the case judges ruling  and is allowed one appeal. when that fails they can go to the ICHR if appropriate with no further right of appeal open. This business of working your way up to the top of the justice system in a whole series of appeals to the next higher court is ridiculous.

Ken (Clark) Has a Go At The ECHR!

Posted in Britain, David Cameron, England, Extradition, Human Rights, Justice, Prison, UK with tags , , , , on 14/02/2012 by floroy1942

An eye-opener for many, but Ken Clark has shown his heart is in the right place by attacking the sheer stupidity of the European Court of Human Rights(ECHR). During a speech to the Austrian Diplomatic Academy in Vienna he said in no uncertain terms that the ECHR was in desperate need of reform. After their ruling on the Abu Qatada case, and that prisoners in our country should have full voting rights, I tend to agree.

He claims that the courts are overloaded, and when you take into consideration that in the first 40 years of its existence it handled a total of 45,000 cases, and in 2010 alone 61,300, I can see what he means.

That's Right Ken - You Tell 'Em

During his speech he said:  ¨It is individual states and their courts which have primary responsibility for implementing the convention and granting effective remedies. At times, I consider that the court has been too ready to substitute its own judgment for that of national courts and parliaments. It was never meant to be a court of appeal for routine domestic judgments. No court could ever hope to offer redress to 800 million people. National courts are in the best position to understand national problems.” In that I have to agree.

In my opinion, there are more than sufficient safeguards within the national justice system to ensure fairness. What gets peoples backs up in this country is the interference from Strasbourg that dictates e.g. Abu Qatada the terrorist can neither be held in custody, nor deported to Jordan. Also, how dare such a body dictate to us that convicted criminals have as much right to vote as law-abiding citizens?

ECHR - Strasbourg

Abu Qatada is not the only one to have escaped deportation on ´Human Rights´grounds, there have been many before him, such as  Mohammed Ibrahim who ran over a young girl (Posted 17/12/2010). On top of that, many criminals have used the infamous Article 8 (Right to family life) defence to escape a jail sentence, in particular I think of burglar Wayne Bishop who I wrote about on the 28th May last year. He escaped a prison sentence because he had five children. He was re-arrested recently on GBH (grievous bodily harm) charges. So much for the loving father whose children cannot live without him.

There have been too many cases where the ECHR has made a mockery of justice in our country, and it has to stop. I for one will be very happy if Ken Clark and David Cameron can introduce legislative changes to the way in which the court operates during Britain´s tenure at the`head of the table´.  If that happens, and we rid ourselves of the ridiculous `Human Rights´ appeals to every sentence handed out by the courts, so much the better.

Why Is Britain Forced To Release Abu Qatada?

Posted in Afghanistan, Al Quada, Britain, England, Extradition, Human Rights, Islamic Revolution, Justice, UK, USA with tags , , , on 08/02/2012 by floroy1942

Abu Qatada is once more in the news because the British government has been told it can no longer keep this radical cleric incarcerated. He is a known terrorist with two convictions in his native Jordan for terrorists acts, but Britain can neither deport him nor keep him locked up. Justice is supposed to be blind and impartial, but sadly, in this day and age that is not true. Now it favours the criminal and the terrorist.

Merchant of Hate – Abu Qatada

He has been implicated in acts of terror by others, and has openly incited impressionable young Muslims to terror attacks against Jews, Americans and British. A Spanish Judge went so far as to name him as Bin Laden’s right-hand man in Europe, but it seems the law is unable to touch him. He is accused by the Home Office of being “a significant international terrorist” and the spiritual guide of Mohamed Atta, one of the al Qaeda terrorists who piloted a jet into the World Trade Centre on 11 September 2001.

Due to his links with the al-Tawhid movement, its leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and his Iraq-based terrorist group, he has the blood of Kenneth Bigley, and two Americans Jack Hensley and Eugene Armstrong, on his hands. They were beheaded by this group over the period September/October 2004.

Video of Kennth Bigley released by his kidnappers:

Kenneth Bigley Seconds Before He Was Beheaded

The Home Office also points out that he has raised money to send young British Muslims to Afghanistan for training as terrorists, and has “provided advice which gives religious legitimacy to those who wish to further the aims of extreme Islamism and to engage in terrorist attacks, including suicide bombings. A number of individuals arrested or detained in connection with terrorism have acknowledged his influence upon them.” He is accused of giving guidance and advice to several other terror groups, including Rachid Ramda, the former leader of the GIA in the UK, who was arrested for his involvement in the 1995 Paris Metro bombings. All of this still does not seem sufficient for Britain to keep him locked up.

Qatada is to be released on bail within days after the Special Immigration Appeals Commission was forced to heed the ruling from Strasbourg. It was also Strasbourg that halted his deportation to Jordan because he claimed the evidence against him was obtained by torture. In  1999 he was sentenced in his absence to life imprisonment with hard labour for conspiracy to commit terror attacks, and in 2000 he was sentenced to a further 15 years’ hard labour for conspiring in the “millennium plot” to attack western and Israeli targets in Jordan on New Year’s Eve. Qatada is quoted as saying “he feared he would be tortured if he returned to Jordan because the Amman government objected to his Islamist political activities and his ideological leadership of an Islamist reform group that looked to install in Jordan an Islamic government, controlled by Islamic law, and to depose the monarchy”.

Terrorist Training Camp Afghanistan

The evidence against this man is overwhelming both at home and abroad, but it seems the British justice system can find nothing to charge him with in the UK. It’s amazing! He will be released under strict bail conditions and be confined to his house for twenty-two hours a day, however, if the Home Secretary cannot show within three months that progress is being made in negotiations with Jordan regarding his extradition, all these restrictions will have to be lifted. This means he will be free to continue spouting his hatred for us, the Jews and the Americans. He will be free to incite hatred and send young Muslims off to the training camps in Afghanistan.

Personally, I would put him on a ship and take him out to the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and then throw him overboard. Then we will see how much Allah loves him.

Without doubt, it is time this vermin was gotten rid of permanently, in any way possible!

Roy.

14 February – Update: Well, this animal has been released from jail, and at last some headway is being made in talks with the Jordanian government. They say they passed a law last October preventing the use of evidence obtained by  torture, so with luck, Qatada may well be on a plane to Jordan some time soon. Hopefully the Jordanians will take him out of circulation for good and people can sleep peacefully in their beds once again.

Terrorism and Human Rights

Whoopeee! I read with interest today that Abu Qatada, Europe’s most influential extremist, can finally be deported to Jordan. The UK House of Lords, the highest Appeal Court in the land, has agreed that he is a dangerous extremist and should no longer be given leave to reside in Britain. And about time too. Enough of this pussyfooting around, and to hell with these ‘Goody-Goody’ pressure groups.

What a complete and utter farce the Law is these days! This animal is a convicted terrorist not only in the UK and Jordan, but is wanted on terrorist charges in six other countries, so that should not leave any doubt as to his guilt. The Law however is obliged to listen to his sob story about him not getting a fair trial in Jordan, because testimony against him there is obtained by torture!

The Home Office has pointed out that Britain has a diplomatic agreement with Jordan, among others, that extradited felons will not be tortured.

I would have thought Qatada would welcome giving his all for the cause, then he would get his place in Paradise and his 100 Virgins. Right?

This man is a real piece of work. He was kicked out of Kuwait for opposing the liberation, went to Jordan, and from there entered the UK in 1993 on a forged passport. He claimed asylum on the grounds of religious persecution (Brazen!), which was granted in 1994 because the British are such a soft touch.

He immediately set about preaching his brand of hatred in Mosques up and down the country, finally being arrested on terrorism charges in 2005 shortly after the 7/7 bombings.

In 2008, an Appeal Judge overturned a 2007 court ruling that he may be deported to Jordan, and even released him on bail. Thankfully better heads ruled the day, and he was re-arrested due to Intelligence received that he was going to skip the country. I am almost lost for words (well, not quite)!

This new episode is a heaven sent opportunity for people like Amnesty International, those champions of terrorists and criminals everywhere, to step into the picture claiming his human rights are being violated by his proposed deportation!

To me it seems that no-one who works for that organization has ever lost a relative or loved one to terrorism or crime, if any of them had, maybe they would join the rest of us in the real world. To the people who lost relatives, loved ones, or friends in 9/11, Madrid and London 7/7, this group is an insult.

Before you castigate me, let me add that Amnesty does do some good work, but in my opinion, it should not use its considerable resources to help convicted terrorists and criminals.

My take on people like that is that they give up all their rights when they incite the weak-minded to kill innocents in a random fashion just to further their own dark agenda. Amnesty on the other hand, thinks these parasites still have the same human rights as you or I, despite being involved in such terrible acts as 9/11.

Amnesty was said to be “gravely concerned” at the implications of this ruling.

Spokeswoman Nicola Duckworth said; “No-one should be deported to face a risk of torture, whatever they might be alleged or suspected to have done…..States simply cannot pick and choose which people have human rights…..if these individuals in question are reasonably suspected of having committed a criminal offence relating to terrorism, it is always open to the UK authorities to charge them and give them a fair trial.” What planet does she live on? Hello, Earth calling!

There is no doubt whatsoever, that so long as this animal is kept in a British prison he will continue to spout his vitriolic hatred as he has done in the past. Jailing these people does nothing to stop their influence, it enhances it!

It seems to me these days, that all the emphasis is now on protecting the rights of criminals and terrorists rather than protecting the people from them. This I find very sad.

I am a firm believer in the right of everyone to a fair and open trial, but once convicted, people like Qatada should be taken from the court to a plane and deported immediately.

Occasionally, there may be doubt about the final destination of some of these people, if so, the full Appeal Process may be allowed. This time consuming process should not however be applied in the case of dangerous extremists who continue to preach hatred of our society even in prison.

Even though the battle is won against this man, the war is not. He now has the right to appeal to The European Court of Human Rights which can take another two or three years. Yada! Yada! Yada! Hopefully, the Home Office will get him out before his lawyers can submit their appeal.

Another course of action is open to the British Government; hand him over to Algeria, The United States, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium or Italy. They all want a crack at him too.

In conclusion, this man is a symbol of all that is wrong with the Muslim faith, and there are many like him, breathing violence and hatred of everything non-Muslim. In my opinion, it is only the moderates who can rid their religion of this cancer. Most Muslims are devout people who live in peace and harmony and do not deserve to have their religion tainted by such as he.

May he soon see his 100 virgins!

Roy.

Quick Update:

It seems our man’s lawyers were quick off the mark. Today an appeal has been sent to the European Court of Human Rights which will take, as I predicted, two years. So once again Qatada gets off the hook. Now all the other ‘Do-Gooders’ namely, Human Rights Watch and Justice are jumping on the bandwagon and throwing in their ten cents worth.

The man is a convicted terrorist, wanted in another seven countries for inciting, and financing death and destruction on a scale unprecedented in human history for crying out loud. Have these people no shame???
