Violent Demonstrations Against Trump In America

Violent Demonstrations Against Trump In America

What is it with people these days that they always want to demonstrate on the streets, smash shop windows and burn cars? Almost all demonstrations eventually turn out to be violent even though they start peacefully. I think it is because of teenagers and young men who create mayhem wherever they go because they enjoy it. The main reason for this is because their parents and schools have not taught them respect for others and their views.

Sadly, it indicates a change in mentality among the youth these days from when I was young, for we got our kicks from playing football on the streets or other innocent games, but now violence is the key word. But that is not the main reason why we have demonstrations today.

In many countries it is through dissatisfaction with the government because they seem incapable of running a country the way people want. Other times it is because they do not agree with the majority view, as in the Brexit campaign in Britain. Although the majority of people voted for Brexit, those who voted to stay in the European Union could not accept this and began demonstrating, sometimes violently, on the streets.

In America the same thing happened with the presidential election because Donald Trump won. Now the streets are full of violent demonstrations against him. No-one seems to be patient and willing to wait and see what sort of president he will be. He may be the best thing that has happened to America in generations, on the other hand he could be the worst, but people have decided not give him a chance.

When I was a young man the people were always willing to see what the next Prime Minister would do for the country. Some were good and some were bad, but you only ever found that out in time.

It is not only America and Great Britain where violent demonstrations take place, it is in the majority of countries all over the world from Hong Kong to New York. As people get more and more violent you can be sure this will mean a very difficult future for mankind. We have reached an era where those who lose cannot accept it and want to force change to their way of thinking.

Many will say we are headed for complete anarchy in the world, which will have dire consequences on the future of mankind. If we cannot live in peace with each other then what future does mankind have.

We have to start changing the way in which we educate our children. We have to impress on them that violence is not the way to live their lives, that there are rules by which we live, and violence is not one of them. We have to teach them to respect the views of another even if they do not agree, and not turn to violence. Otherwise, we will all eventually be swallowed by anarchy.

THIS Is Punishment? You Must Be Joking!

Posted in Britain, Conservative Party, England, European Union, Human Rights, Justice, News, Political Correctness, Prison, Riot with tags , , , , on 30/03/2015 by floroy1942

If you commit a crime you go to prison right? Prison is supposed to be a punishment for the criminal to ensure that he changes his ways and becomes a better citizen, right? Well, if you thought that you would be very wrong!

A news item released today has once again revealed that prisoners in our jails have a better life than you or I, and there is no such thing as punishment for crimes committed in this ‘enlightened’ age! The whole episode makes a mockery of British Justice.

It concerns a ‘drug lord’ who was sentenced to five years but is living the high life in prison with all the comforts of home, and many you would love to have. Jason Crocker, 36 was caught by the police selling drugs, and these are photographs of his cell that he took himself and posted on Facebook:

Crocker's Prison Cell complete With TV , Music Centre, Gaming Station And A Whole Lot More. He Even Has A Box Of Expensive Cigars!

Another View – His Array Of Soaps, Lotions, Toothpastes And Assorted Male Perfumery

How on earth are prisoners living in the lap of luxury supposed to feel remorse for their actions and become reformed citizens? How on earth is living like this supposed to be a punishment?

The following are some of the public’s reactions to this article:

“How can this be allowed to happen? Surely the person(s) responsible for making these misery mongers lives comfortable in prison should disciplined and dismissed! It makes my blood boil… ”

“What the hell is the prison service up to? That governor should be sacked on the spot and someone with the balls to impose a proper regime installed. Everything in that cell that is non-regulation should be confiscated immediately as a starter.”

“What is the world coming to. this guy seems to be having a better life than me and I’ve never done a thing wrong in my life. its time the government stamped down on this and made prison what its supposed to be and that’s punishment not a life of Riley.”

“I can’t afford a games cube! I’ve never been in prison but it sounds wonderful!! Are we really allowing this to go on at the tax payers expense? He was a dirty drug dealer, destroying people’s lives for goodness knows how long & should not have anything other than a toilet in his cell. There is no deterrent in prison sentences. Make them work, bring back the harshest regime!”

I have to agree with all the sentiments above, but thanks to the Human Rights Laws from Brussels, and the ‘Goody-Goody Brigade’ here at home, we have reached a stage where there is no longer an incentive for criminals to ‘go straight’ when released.

Jason Crocker

Jason Crocker

If they get caught they receive a paltry sentence, even for murder, and then live a life of luxury behind bars at the Tax Payers expense. The only thing they miss is their freedom of movement. This is just not right, and it’s time we had a government willing and able to do something about it.

Send in the Riot Squad or Army and remove all the niceties from every cell and replace it with the standard bed and toilet, then lets see how they reform.

Prison guards should stop being ‘Mr. Nice Guy’ and be very strict, allowing only that which is necessary for living without all the comforts of home. Any guard who is caught allowing ‘contraband’ into the prison receives an automatic six months sentence and is fired from his job.

The Results Of A Prison Riot

The Results Of A Prison Riot

You can be sure there will be prison riots, but the moment trouble breaks out the Riot Squad or Army go in and sort it out. A few soldiers armed with batons and fire-hoses should be able to sort that out.

Prison Riot Squad

Prison Riot Squad

There can be little doubt that we need more prison guards who can watch the movements of prisoners at all times and quell trouble the moment it starts. A system of isolating a trouble spot in the prison is vital to stop it spreading to other wings. The answer to all prison riots is isolation and a quick response to prevent it spreading. Another essential is allowing only small groups of prisoners to move about the prison.

Work is another essential that is missing today, for it is far better to have prisoners working eight hours a day than lounging around playing snooker or watching TV. It is way past time that they made a contribution to society during their incarceration instead of living the kind of life many of us can only dream about.

Met Police Exonerated in ‘Kettling’ Case

Posted in Britain, Demonstration, England, Justice, Police, Police Complaints, Riot, Teen Violence, UK with tags , , , on 20/01/2012 by floroy1942

Much has been said and written about the Metropolitan Police (Met) tactic of ‘kettling’ protesters when a demonstration turns violent as with the G20 protests in 2009. ‘Kettling’, i.e. the containment or corralling of protesters into a small area during violent demonstration used by the ‘Met’ on several occasions, has proved  to be very effective.

Well Done Lads!

It has however resulted in a storm of protest in itself which resulted in a High Court ruling in April 2011 that stated the police went too far and was labelled “unjustified force”. Thankfully this ruling has now been overturned in an appeal by the Met. It’s good to know there are some level-headed people in the Justice System.

Lord Neuberger

Appeal Judge Lord Neuberger ruled that kettling “was justifiable on the ground that containment was the least drastic way of preventing what the police officer responsible for the decision reasonably apprehended would otherwise be imminent and serious breaches of the peace”, adding: “there was no valid basis for concluding that [Met Chief Superintendent Michael] Johnson’s decision to contain the Climate Camp at 19.00 on 1 April 2009 was unlawful”.

As a law abiding citizen, I fully concur with this ruling, for surely it is better to have violent protesters bottled up in a side road than allow them to run rampage down the High Street causing havoc, as happened during the riots of last year. To me it is basic common sense that you do not want malcontents smashing shop windows, setting fire to cars and terrorizing the population in a huge swathe across the city. Rather that they be contained in a small area where they can do less harm and the damage is restricted to a small area.

When you consider the numbers involved in this sort of behaviour these days the police are usually stretched to the limit when trouble breaks out, last years riots are a prime example of this. The tactic of ‘kettling’ takes some of the pressure off the police, for when the movement of these people is severely restricted less police are required to contain them.

Why the Mask?

In my opinion, we should be grateful to the police for greatly restricting the freedom of these idiots bent on destruction, instead of constantly complaining about them. The police are in the front line against these agitators who want to destroy something because they themselves cannot have it, and they don’t care whose business, car, or home is destroyed in the process.

I am well aware many people these days would rather cheer on the thugs, providing that is the incident is not taking place in their street! But how attitudes would change if it was their shop that got smashed or their car that went up in flames. Oh how fickle we are!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peaceful Protest?

It is a proven fact that most of the violent types who turn up at demonstrations have no interest in the original protesters agenda, but are there purely to ‘have a little fun’ at everyone else’s expense. To the violent fringe of todays’ youth the opportunity of smashing a few shop-fronts, setting fire to few cars and more importantly, having a go at the police, is like a holiday in the Caribbean. They love it!

Neither we, nor the police, can stop these maggots from oozing out of the woodwork every time there is a legitimate protest somewhere in the country, but we can ensure our police force has the necessary power to crack down hard on them when they do.

In conclusion may I add, that there is nothing wrong with peaceful protest. We have seen many in which a minimum of police presence is required and there is no violence committed by anyone. To those who wish to protest in this lawful manner I say, good luck, and may you be successful.

The FBI at the 2012 Olymypic Games?

Posted in Al Quada, Britain, Conservative Party, England, Extradition, Immigrants, Insurgents, Islamic Revolution, Justice, Liberal Party, Muslim, Police, Riot, Terrorists, UK, USA, World War 2 with tags , , , , , , , , on 14/11/2011 by floroy1942

The United States wishes to have up to 1000 of its own agents at next year’s Olympic Games in London according to current news reports.

British sources say, naturally enough, that all the necessary measures have been taken, and in fact, some 12,000 police reinforced by up to 15000 agents from security company G4S will be available. Even units of the Army will be on special duty at the games, including SAS teams who be will be stationed along the Thames at strategic points to prevent any terrorists attacks.

London Riot

The U.S government has raised concerns about the relaxing of the controversial ‘stop and search’ laws, and of course the London riots of the Autumn. The slow police reaction to the riots has been held up by the Americans as reason enough for their agents to provide security for their people at the event.

Olympic Venue Under Construction

The Olympic Committee, the London Council and the government have all being working together to make the most of available resources for the protection of visitors, athletes, and dignitaries alike. According to reports, all seems to be on track and their are no worries about the arrangements, so why do we need gun-toting American agents on our streets? There can be little doubt these people will be carrying guns, for I doubt very much they will hand them over on arrival in the country.

Part of the problem is that England is seen as a ‘hotbed’ of insurgency by the USA, and not without good cause.

Tony Blair Should Be Hanged For Treason

We have been far too soft on radicals ever since Labour came to power in 1997. unfortunately, this has continued, although to a lessor degree, under the current coalition government. Coupled with that is the disgraceful lack of border controls currently hitting the headlines, also I might add, initiated by the previous government.

The caption says: Zakir Naik - "Every Muslim should be a terrorist".

For almost twenty years we have allowed Muslim hate preachers to spread their poison among the the youth of Islam in Britain, and done nothing about it. We have allowed our universities and schools to become a breeding ground for insurgents and suicide bombers, and done nothing about it. We have allowed Muslim radicals to hold protests in our streets and desecrate the memory of our fallen heroes on Remembrance Day and at Royal Wooten Basset and still do nothing about it. Why!!!!!!

American Secret Service (A.S.S.) Sniper on Every Rooftop?

While I do not like the prospect of gun-toting FBI and Secret Service agents on the streets of my country, I can sympathise with their feelings, and the sad thing is, we have no-one to blame but ourselves.

There can be little doubt that the Games will be a golden opportunity for any terrorist group to make a statement that will compare to 9/11, and with our border controls in such disarray, how will we know if these people are here or not.

Stickin' Yer Head In the Sand Ain't Gonna Help!

It has all to do with the fear of being labelled ‘racist’ in our society, and that is reason enough fo most people to keep their mouths tightly shut. Also, there are many misguided Brits who think they should be on the side of the Muslims just because they are a minority in our land. It beggars believe! Our justice system seem totally incapable of dealing with Muslims who break the law, probably for the same reason.

A Muslim Insult to Our War Dead

It strikes me as extremely unjust when in May 2010, Tohseef Shah spray painted a British War Memorial with “Islam will dominate Osama is coming” he was fined £585 and received a two-year suspended sentence before walking free from court. In November 2010, Emdadur Choudhury burned a Poppy during the 2mins silence. He was given a fine of £50 and walked free from court. In June of this year Steven Vasey and Anthony Smith were both given  a 12 month jail sentence for spray painting a poppy on the wall of a mosque. Just doesn’t sound like justice to me!

Taking Out the Trash

The government now has until 27th July next year to track down all radical Muslims and deport them prior to the Games. I can’t see that happening but it would certainly be a step in the right direction. They have the same amount of time to seal our borders properly so potential terrorists cannot just ‘waltz’ in whenever they feel like it. I can’t see that happening either, so I guess we will have to welcome our armed cousins from across the pond, just so long as we don’t foot the bill for the ammunition!

‘Tough’ Community Service – Another Ken Clark Option Doomed To Failure!

Posted in Britain, Budget Cuts, Child Discipline, Conservative Party, David Cameron, Demonstration, Elections, England, Government, Government Spending, Human Rights, Justice, Liberal Party, MP's, Nick Clegg, Parliament, Police, Political Correctness, Prison, Riot, Teen Violence, Teens, Theft, UK with tags , , , , , , on 25/08/2011 by floroy1942

I know money is tight and the prisons are full, but I cannot for the life of me understand how our Justice Minister, Ken Clark, keeps rattling on about ‘Community Service’ being the answer to re-offending! This man is so out of touch with public opinion as to be laughable. Even his own government department statistics say he is totally wrong. Many Tory M.P’s were angry at his move away from tough sentencing.

Time To Go?

I am sorry Ken, you have given your country good service over the years, but you really should consider retirement.

He promises that instead of sitting at home watching TV or being down the pub having a beer when they are supposed to be doing community service, prisoners will be made to work a minimum of 28 hours a week paying back the community doing odd jobs like clearing up litter and painting!

Stoke-on-Trent community service trial:

http://youtu.be/uO-PUMT5_6s

THIS Is Hard Work - 48 Hours A Week!

Considering that working people put in at least 48 hours a week I don’t call that ‘Hard Labour’ as he calls it. I also don’t think clearing up rubbish and painting is ‘hard labour’!

True, he is stuck with a problem in that the prisons are full and cost the country a fortune, but there are far better ways than this stupid idea. Criminals should be ‘banged up’ and anything less is just not good enough.

Even Women Prisoners Get To Improve Their Snooker Skills

If he really needs to cut expenses, take away all the TV’s, pool tables, gym machines and other luxuries that prisoners enjoy daily. Things which law-abiding people cannot afford! The cost of all these items comes from his Justice Department budget, and consequently the tax payer. That’s how you save money Ken!!!!

It is time all these superfluous things were taken away and the prisons turned back into places of punishment, not 5 Star hotels. Criminals in British prisons consider our penal system a joke, and that is why they turn to a life of crime, and why they re-offend as soon as they are released, sometimes within days for cryin’ out loud!

After A Hard Day Playing Snooker

Our Ken is so out of touch, he is even giving them a day off to look for a job; “Where convicts are unemployed, they will be forced to work a minimum of 28 hours over four days, with the fifth day spent looking for a job”. At least they will have time enough for a drink with their mates, or perhaps commit another crime!!!!

For the last thirty years, the public have been begging each successive government to ‘get tough on crime’, and sure enough, during each election all parties swear they will be.

Labour went the other way during their last term in office. Under them, less than half of all community orders were completed, and one in ten was cut short because the person doing it reoffended before completing  it. Criminals placed on community orders in 2008 committed almost a quarter of a million offences in the following 12 months. Of these, 1,500 were serious crimes such as murder and rape.

Although we have had promises (as usual) from the Conservatives and Liberals, what they are proposing still isn’t enough!

How Our Cells Are....

It is time Britain had its own Bill of Rights (even though we have the Magna Carta), and all these ‘Human Rights’ nutters should be told to go jump off the nearest cliff.

You cannot turn people away from a life of crime by being soft, and hoping they will change their ways. In our society, criminals, and especially young ones, see crime as the ‘way to go’. If caught they have little to fear, as is proven time and again by the fact many re-offend even while on bail for the first offence.

....And How They Should Be!

The youth of today are feared by much of the population, and they revel in it. It gives many a ‘buzz’ to see honest citizens cross the road rather than share a pavement with them. They are drunk with their own perceived ‘power’ and exercise it at will. They have no fear of going to prison, because it will at least give them chance to play a few rounds of snooker!

People have been complaining about the ‘harsh’ sentences handed out following the recent riots, but folks, that’s what you have been asking for all these years. Finally you get a government that is fulfilling your wishes, and you still complain!!!!!!

You Want To Give HIM A Slap-on-the -Wrist?

Stop whining and support those of our politicians who are willing to give out harsh sentences. Only by insisting the law return to complete impartiality can we hope for a return to any form of normalcy. Breaking the law is breaking the law, no matter how trivial the offence may seem!

Campaign, or start a petition to get rid of all the luxuries prisoners enjoy on a daily basis, and insist our prisons return to what they once were; A place of punishment. Only by putting the fear of God into criminals will we ever persuade them to change their ways!

The UK Riots – Now The Blame Game Begins!

Posted in Britain, Conservative Party, David Cameron, Demonstration, England, Government, Justice, Modern World, MP's, Nick Clegg, Parliament, Police, Police Complaints, Political Correctness, Riot, Teen Violence, Teens, Theft, UK, USA with tags , , , , , on 15/08/2011 by floroy1942

As always, as soon as the trouble is over the mud-slinging begins. Everyone from politicians, to police, and the public, must have their say, which lets face it, is not such a bad thing in itself.

Do You Expect People Like This To Give In To The 'Softly Softly' Approach By Police?

It does annoy me however when politicians start pontificating and laying much of the blame on the police for not being, in their words, ‘Robust Enough’! Bullshit!

The thugs responsible for the violence and looting knew police hands were tied, and took full advantage of the fact.

Ask Him If He Agrees With Your Opinions!

At almost every major disturbance in the last twenty years, our police have been pilloried for their ‘robust tactics’! When things got tough officers reacted, often to save themselves from harm, and what do they get, hung out to dry!

Some protester or other would be filming events, and as soon as a police officer touched someone with a truncheon, no matter how justified, the cry of ‘police brutality’ went up, and the officer concerned ended up in big trouble, and sometimes in front of a judge!

It is not considered an ‘illegal use of force’ when protesters batter the police, in fact many ‘sick’ people enjoy the spectacle. In many cases our law enforcement officers suffer serious injury to keep you safe, but ‘lo and behold’, if any policeman raises his baton in even a threatening gesture against a rioter bent on destruction, it’s ‘off to the stocks’ with him.

Should He Be Battered Because He Is Not Allowed To Defend Himself?

The police leadership have obviously learned they can expect no backing from either politicians or the public in such situations, and have reacted accordingly. Good for them! But now what do we hear? The police failed to do their job effectively!

This sort of reaction makes me quite mad, for our police do not deserve this. It seemed to me, that this time they operated within the boundaries set for them by the general public and politicians, and still it’s no good!

As I have often said , ‘Damned if you do, and damned if you don’t!

Folks, you either give the police the power to crack a few heads and use the correct tools for the job, or you have them stand on the sidelines. You can’t have it both ways.

Thrown To The Wolves By Society!

We have always had one of the finest police forces in the world, but people these days want them to fight the kind of mindless destruction we have witnessed – in handcuffs.

Just as important is the reaction of the justice system, which is giving rioters and looters, some as young as nine-years-old, nothing more than a ‘slap-on the-wrist’ because of their age. Rubbish! If that’s not incentive enough to go out and do it again I don’t know what is!

Wow! Some of these looters have actually been banned from entering some 400 city centre stores in Manchester. Now that’s a master stroke that will really make an impression! I wonder which genius thought up that load of twaddle!

When Violence Rules The Streets Your Only Protection Is The Police

The real answer is to give the police the power to crack a few heads, and believe me, the thugs will think twice before going on the rampage again! I know the old saying; ‘Violence Begets Violence, and that may be true, but I am sure if our police were given full backing to use proper ‘robust tactics’ we would see a rapid end to such situations. This sort of violence requires a crackdown as hard as we can make it, and only then can you be sure it won’t happen again! The only law many of our young people today really understand, is the that of the iron fist.

How Would You Like To Be Burning From A Petrol Bomb?

When the next episode of this saga unfolds, as it will, the one thing that will deter any future repetitions will be for these thugs to see fifty or more of their friends lying in the street needing hospital treatment. Yep! I know, it sounds hard, but the police will only have to do it once, for if you want to stamp out mob violence then you give as good as you get!

I am well aware my views may be radical, but if you want peace on our streets, and instill some form of discipline on our wayward youth,  you must allow the police to take off the kid gloves and become a real  force for good – again!

Behind The Headlines – An Analysis Of Britain’s Troubles

Posted in Britain, Conservative Party, David Cameron, Demonstration, England, Europe, Government, Insanity, Justice, Liberal Party, Nick Clegg, Parliament, Police, Police Complaints, Riot, Teen Violence, Teens, Theft, UK, USA with tags , , , , , , , , , on 10/08/2011 by floroy1942

The headlines and news reports on Britain’s current period of discontent seem incapable of addressing the fundamental reasons for the unrest across the country.

A Century Old Furniture Store Blazes

From London, the trouble spread rapidly all across the nation, as city after city was embroiled in mass rioting on an unprecedented scale by young members of Britain’s society. The police were unable to stop the violence that led to vehicles, shops and housing set ablaze by discontented youth.

Riot Video:

The police were fighting it with one arm tied behind their backs, because they are not allowed to use the right tools for the job. The press added fuel to the fire with uncorroborated reports on the excuse used by the rioters, i.e, the death of Mark Duggan.

Duggan – Make Of The Hand Gesture What You Will

Duggan was considered by many as a gangster and drug dealer, with ties to one of London’s many gangs The Star Gang. But listen to his family and you hear he was a loving father and husband, in fact a pillar of society. So much for a family’s knowledge of their son, but this was what the press were so eager to report.

The whole scenario of Duggan’s death is still under investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), and remember the first word in its name; Independent!

Duggan The Family Man?

The press however were not waiting for that, they ‘knew’ what happened, or think they did! There is little doubt in my mind that their inflammatory reports on Duggan’s death may well have been the catalyst that sparked off the whole episode.

Since that time of course the IPCC has let it be known that Duggan did not fire his gun, but maybe he was reaching for it and the police firearms squad took preventative measures. What would you do if someone was pulling a gun on you? We must all wait for the full IPCC Report.

A Female Jumps From Her Blazing Apartment

There is little doubt we must lay a lot of the blame for these riots upon the press. The photographs of blazing buildings, vandalised shop fronts and looters, coupled with banner headlines sells newspapers – and that’s what it’s all about! Why should they care about destroyed buildings, shops, and lives, when everyone was having such fun and they are selling papers as fast as they can print them?

The TV news crews were not much better, although I have to say, from what I have seen, they were a little more restrained than the press.

In the middle of this once again were our beleaguered police, trying to tackle anarchy in its worst form, practically with their bare hands. Mob violence is an ugly thing and very difficult to control, for much of the problem is in identifying the ringleaders and arresting them, and only by achieving this can you take the steam out of the situation.

German Water Cannon-It Makes Them Run!

The German police have had good results with their water cannon and dye sprays, but of course, such tactics by our police would cause a storm of protest from ?’innocent’? parties ‘caught up’ in the riot. I am sorry, but if you are on the scene, you are not innocent! Any normal innocent person would get the hell out of the whole area as quickly as possible! Yesterday, a statement from the Home Office said they do not consider the use of water cannon as relevant to the situation.Typical!

By far the largest problem for the police is public opinion. They have been pilloried in the press at almost every major disturbance in the last ten years for ‘over-reacting, kettling, heavy-handed tactics, brutality and outright murder (i.e. Ian Tomlinson). Since that time Chief Constables have been very aware of this, and put severe curbs on police behaviour with the net effect of making them all but useless. In other words they have been hamstrung by ‘Political Correctness”! When it comes to riot control, as a policeman you are ‘damned if you do, and damned if you don’t’!

Devastation

The troubles have resulted in several hundred individuals being arrested for anything from public order offences to outright arson and burglary. One individual has even been charged for the attempted murder of a police officer after deliberately driving at him in a car.

The next hurdle is, naturally enough, the justice system. At the moment the judiciary are clearly not up to the task. Too many of these malcontents are let off with community service or a suspended sentence, which is nothing more than a ‘slap on the wrist’. If that is all they get for smashing up shops and burning down entire buildings, cars and buses, then our justice system is in a sorry state.

Hopelessly Out Of Touch

Part of the problem of course is the Justice Ministry, which like any other must save money. We have already seen Justice Minister Ken Clark’s pathetic attempts at saving money by releasing prisoners early, quashed by the Prime Minister – thank God!

While the death of the known thug, Mark Duggen (innocent pillars of the community do not carry guns), was used as the initial excuse for the riots, further commentators have suggested the unrest within the ranks of today’s youth is because they cannot get employment. This may well be more accurate than most people suppose, and we have to dig deeper into the events preceeding last weekends action.

Youth On The Dole

It is a sad fact that most of Britain’s youth is considered unemployable by the commercial world.

See post:

https://floroy1942.wordpress.com/2011/03/05/young-people-today-unemployable/

The reason for this is two-fold. They were not motivated to learn, and much more damning, they were let down badly by the education system in the UK which has been failing its students for decades. The reason for this is as it has always been for the last forty years, the teachers are totally incapable of passing on knowledge, because they do not possess it themselves.

See Posts:

https://floroy1942.wordpress.com/2010/12/09/the-uk-education-system-just-got-worse-if-thats-possible/

https://floroy1942.wordpress.com/2009/06/20/its-not-mi-falt-i-carnt-spel/

Discipline? What Discipline!

Even the idea that you must learn at school if you are to have a future, has to be learnt like the ABC. This teaching should have come from parents as well as the school staff, but then we got all ‘politically correct’ and child punishment was banned both at home and in the schools.  As a consequence, this basic necessity could no longer be taught. My generation called it discipline – and it worked!

Now we have a youth who feel they can do as they please with no fear of retribution. Elders and teachers are  forbidden by law to instill any form of discipline in their children other than the spoken word, and that is useless. It is significant that all the rioters were youths and young children, many of whom should have been at home with their parents. To them it was a chance to challenge authority i.e. the police, and create mayhem, plus of course get their hands on goods they would otherwise never be able to afford. With the child discipline laws as they stand, we are headed for a much more of the same.

The Teenager’s View

Next we have the education system itself. It is no wonder companies do not want to hire today’s youth because they cannot read, write, or do simple mathematics properly anymore. When three-quarters of today’s teenagers are semi-literate how can they hope to gain employment in the high tech world of today. They are not fit for anything more than cleaning the streets, emptying rubbish bins or driving trucks.

Says It All Really

That is why they are so discontented today, and that is why they look for any excuse to riot and cause mayhem because they think society has forgotten them and consigned them to the trash already. We do not see this mindless rioting in other countries, unless its for a specific cause like Anti-Nuclear, because no other nation has the terrible standards of education we do. You do not see the likes of France or Germany importing huge numbers of skilled workers to fill jobs because they have their own. We on the other hand have none, due solely to our poor education standards.

Of course there is the other side of the coin, in which many of todays disaffected youth ‘get a kick’ out of smashing cars, shop fronts and policeman’s faces, and not forgetting the chance of a free 46″ TV, iPad and clothing they can loot from smashed shops. There can be little doubt, the youth of today have much to gripe about, but rioting will not solve their problems, and those involved should be feel the full weight of the law.

So how do we solve it? A big question which I don’t see M.P’s, or political commentators rushing to answer.

Looters On The Rampage

In my opinion. the only way to get out of this spiral of disaster is to turn the clock back to when we had a much acclaimed national curriculum and start teaching it right away. A national curriculum is the nation’s standard for education, and should be taught in every school without local deviations.

Immediately start winkling out the poor and mediocre teachers and have them attend night-school to improve their subject knowledge, if necessary at their own expense, for they are the front line of those who let down our nation’s children through their own inadequacies. I am damn sure the majority of teachers could not pass a 1950’s GCSE exam!

Second, a system of night-schools should be set up across the country to give today’s youth a standard of education that makes them employable.

Education Or More Of This

These are certainly difficult measures to impose, but to me there is little doubt they are necessary if we are to make our youth employable, and rid ourselves of the simmering discontent that abounds in our society today. If you think things are bad now, just reflect on how they will be in ten years time, because without solving the education problem things are only going to get worse, much worse. We could end up with total anarchy!

In closing, let me say that I am in no way condoning the mindless violence that has destroyed so much of Britain’s image to the world, especially with the Olympics just a year away. This is just an idea of how the underlying problem can be tackled before it gets worse, much worse.

The Price Of Rioting-Your Tax Money

Its interesting to note that the repair bill for all the damage caused by the rioting of the past few days could cost the taxpayer £100 million!!! How does that grab you folks? If it makes you angry, then the parents of those concerned should exercise more control over their children and make sure they do not go on the rampage again!

Egypt – The Devil’s Playground

Posted in Arab, Christianity, Demonstration, Insanity, Insurgents, Muslim, Religion, Riot, Sharia Law with tags , , , , , on 08/05/2011 by floroy1942

Not for the first time, news reports of sectarian trouble in Egypt have surfaced. This latest attack has left 10 people dead and 186 injured after clashes between Muslims and Copt Christians.

Coptic Church Ablaze

According to reports, the trouble started when Muslims gathered outside a Coptic church believing a women, who had married a Muslim and wished to convert to Islam, was held prisoner there. Who actually started the trouble is impossible to acertain because as usual, each side blames the other.

The latest violence:

http://youtu.be/FmVPMHYJBz8

Only 10% of Egyptians are Christian while the other 90% are Muslim, and it does not surprise me that after the fall of Mubarak we enter a new troublesome period for the country.

The military have promised to crack down hard on anyone causing sectarian violence, but I think this will prove difficult. Muslims have made it plain in just about every country in the world that they intend to enforce their way of life on everyone, and what better opportunity could they have in Egypt. During Mubarak’s time such things were practically unheard of, but with the country in turmoil as it is at the moment the opportunity is there for the hardline Muslims to make their voices heard.

The Military Will Crack Down Hard

Many Christians fear for their safety if hard-line Muslims do well in elections to be held in September, and fear more trouble if they reach positions of power in whatever government is formed in the near future.

Muslims are by their very nature fanatical and easily led, evidenced by their willingness to be persuaded by radical priests to strap on a bomb and blow themselves up. So it seems likely that a whispered word about the ‘woman prisoner’ would be enough to light the torch and set off the attack on the Christians. Naturally, I am not saying this is what happened, but it seems to me a much more likely scenario.

One view on Islam:

http://youtu.be/q372PFvXlKM

Dr. Peter Hammond, in his book  ‘Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat’ suggested just such a thing, saying that when the Muslim population of a nation rose above 80% sectarian violence will be used by Muslims to drive out any other faith.

For more information see:

https://floroy1942.wordpress.com/2010/12/02/is-sharia-law-slithering-into-america/

From previous events in other countries I find the message from Dr. Hammond most plausible, but of course history will be a better judge.

Sectarian Violence

In the meantime, Eygpts immediate future looks somewhat troubled as the military try to maintain order, and the radicals try to take advantage of the power vacuum to oust the Christians. If, as they say, the military will make an example of the 190 odd people arrested at the scene by bringing them before a military tribunal, it remains to be seen if that will be sufficient to quell the anti-christian hatred of Muslims.

There can be little doubt that for Egypt to move forward after the Mubarak era this violence must be ‘nipped in the bud’ before it gets out of hand, and this seems to be in the minds of the military. Only time will tell how far this goes and if the country can move forward with dignity into a time when all men are free, and equal.

The “Power’ Drug

...and you will do as I say, or else!

History has shown us time and again the steps some power-hungry people will take to consolidate their grip on power. One only has to go back to the Second World War and look at the profiles of men like Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin, to find out what some men are capable of in the their quest to remain in control of a country and its people. Today is no different, even though the tactics used by some have changed.

Stalin - The Russian Butcher

Just as in the past, repression of free speech and all dissension against them is used by many, but today the approach by others is more subtle. Voting by the people for their leaders has been a common practice for many years, but these days one can no longer rely on this democratic process.

In recent years, country after country around the world has been embroiled in dispute, and even civil war, after so-called free elections. Famous among these are Zimbabwe, Iran, Myanmar, Kenya, Sudan, Somalia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, and so the list goes on.

Mugabe - His Countries Assassin.

In many countries like Zimbabwe and North Korea, dissension is a thing of the past, for any word uttered against the leader means instant death. President Mugabe hit the world headlines during the last general election in 2008 when he actually lost to the opposition, the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).

Zanu Victims

Prior to the next round of voting, Mugabe supporters began a reign of terror, carried out mainly by his ZANU party members, who roamed the streets killing, or chopping off the limbs of opposition supporters with machetes.

It was diplomatic pressure from the rest of the world that finally forced Mugabe to accept a supposed power-sharing deal with his opponent Norman Tsvangari, who became Prime Minister. There is little doubt however that the true power remained in the hands of the president.  Lately it has been announced that the deal, which is due for review in February next year, will be scrapped by Mugabe.

Kim Jong-il the Death Merchant.

North Korea, like China, is a totalitarian regime with all the power in the hands of Kim Jong-il who took over from his father Kim Jong-sung when he died in 1994. Even a careless word that is overheard will lead to a lengthy, if not life time period of detention in the infamous labour camps which have been likened to the concentration camps of the Nazi’s.

The Opposition in a Cage - Suu Kyi

Myanmar (Burma) by contrast, solved the opposition problem by annulling the 1990 election in which the National League for Democracy under Aung San Suu Kyi won an overwhelming victory. The military junta placed Aung San Suu Kyi under house arrest where she has spent the greater part of the time since 1990 despite international calls for her release.

Currently, we have Haiti and the Ivory Coast in turmoil because of ‘rigged’ elections.

The problem in Ivory Coast is so severe, that it would seem civil war is imminent. Two contenders for the leadership, and now two separate leaders, each with their own ‘government’ vying for power over the whole country which is currently split North/South. The United Nations have told the ‘out-going’ president, Laurent GBagbo that he should stand aside, but to no avail. It would take but a small spark to ignite this tinderbox.

Haiti meanwhile, has its own cross to bear, exacerbated by the fact the country has still not recovered from the devastating earthquake this year, and the following cholera epidemic. But still the politicians vie for power and control.

Chavez - Ambitious Showman

There are also dictators in the making such as Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. After coming to power in 1999 he survived a coup d’etat attempt in 2002 and then set about strengthening his position by removing the requirement under the countries constitution for presidents to serve no more than two terms in office. Since then he has further consolidated his power by taking full control of government.

Lukoshenko - Cementing a Position of Power

The West is also accusing Lukashenko of Belarus of following in the footsteps of Hugo Chavez. In 2004 he also changed the constitution, removing the maximum of two terms for a president. While it seems certain he will once again be voted in as president during the current elections, few doubt that the results have been corrupted.

It makes me wonder why these people are so in love with power, for with power comes huge responsibility.

Cholera Victim - Zimbabwe

If you run a country you are supposed to care for your people by making sure they have jobs, suitable housing, and education. The power mongers it seems, care little for this side of the job. In fact, in countries like Zimbabwe, there is 85% unemployment, rampant cholera, starvation and death. In North Korea there is also widespread starvation and disease.

So what do these megalomaniacs gain from this? They are by rote, extravagantly rich from all the money they siphon off for themselves, they have the power of life and death over the people they govern, and quite often have a significant influence on their neighbouring countries e.g. North/South Korea. They also have political standing in the world, mingling with world leaders and top politicians at many top conferences, and the United Nations at will.

Personally I fail to see the attraction of it all, but there is little doubt many do.

Any Excuse For Thuggery? – The Student Riots.

Posted in Britain, Demonstration, England, English Schools, Free Speech, Germany, Government, Insanity, Justice, Modern World, MP's, Parliament, Police, Police Complaints, Prison, Riot, Teen alcohol abuse, Teen Violence, Teens, UK with tags , , , on 12/12/2010 by floroy1942

Last week saw the centre of London turned into a battlefield once again as students rioted in protest over the increase in tuition fees. As usual it turned nasty, with major property damage and an attack on members of the Royal Household.

The Peaceful Part of the Student Demonstration

Any demonstration, organized for whatever purpose in the UK today, is hi-jacked by a criminal element intent on ‘having a go’ at the police, and causing as much damage and destruction as possible just to satisfy their own warped lust for violence.

That there were tens of thousands of peaceful demonstrators at this event is beyond question, but sadly, as usual, it was the criminal element that got into the news.

Among much of the youth in Britain today, there is an underlying current of violence seething just below the surface that finds an outlet when good people take to the streets to protest against something they perceive as wrong. The end result is always the same, a pitched battle with police that escalates into innocent people being caught up in it.

Is This What We Want on Our Streets – Anarchy?

Among a crowd of 100,000 peaceful demonstrators, less than 100 thugs can turn the event into something reminiscent of a war zone in a matter of minutes. It is true to say that many people, initially innocent, start getting aggressive trying to protect one or more of ‘their’ number being arrested by the police, and so it escalates.

What these ‘innocents’ do not seem to understand, is that the person or persons they are trying to defend from the police are there for the express purpose of causing violence, and turning the whole event into a riot.

I am convinced that those responsible for initiating the violence last week have never seen the inside of a university, and probably never even finished secondary school. These are the type of people responsible for much of the thuggery in our towns and cities, and who spend their time selling drugs, getting drunk, stealing cars and anything else that is not nailed down. Most will without doubt become inmates of HM prisons.

Students or Thugs? I Think the Latter!

The police have issued photo’s of those individuals they have been able to identify as troublemakers. If you wish to have no more repeats of last weeks violence and know them, you should turn them in.

It is worth noting one of the comments attached to the following Daily Telegraph video report which reads as follows:

hey kids, lets learn how to kick the shit out of riotpolice:

A) coppers hate it when u splinter, coz they cant manage every splinter group. splinter like fuck!

B) coppers can’t see through there visers and shields if you spray paint in there face!

C) potassium nitrate+suger+naga jolokia (chilli) is your home made C.S gas (strong enough to fend off elephants)

D) thermite (easy to make and not illegal!)

E) petrol bombs, ad oil or styrophome (makes it sticky)

F) wear black

any questions?

It should be obvious to even the most dull among us that considering the atrocious use of the English language the writer is not a student!!! This is a prime example of why you too should back our police force against this rabble instead of complaining when they do the job we, the general public, ask them to do.

YOU Will Have to Pay For the Replacements! – Happy?

Because no-one, least of all their parents, has seen fit to give these malcontents a sense of direction in life they turned to the easy way of making money i.e. crime and violence. I am sure they are hooked on the adrenaline rush they get from destroying things they see they can never have.

There is little doubt that, as in other demonstrations, the mayhem witnessed had nothing whatsoever to do with the increase in tuition fees at universities.

At each successive demonstration more and more violence is aimed at the police, but sad to say, the public in general always sees them as the culprits. After a pitched battle in the city centre, where tens or hundreds of thousands of pounds of damage is done, with scores of policemen as well as demonstrators requiring hospital treatment, the following days headlines trumpet stories of police brutality and heavy-handed tactics. Sorry! But I for one don’t fall for that crop of bullshit!

Maybe This is Why Your Insurance is Sky-High

Throughout history we British have boasted about our ‘Thin Red Line’ holding back hoards attackers, well, now we have the thin blue line and as a nation we should get behind them. During this last demonstration the police tell us their helmet visors were deliberately splashed with paint(Ref. above comment), forcing them to lift them so they could see. As soon as the visor was lifted they were savagely pelted in the face with rocks or billiard balls. Many suffered serious injuries as a result.

But do we hear this action condemned? No of course not, instead everyone is complaining about police attempts to confine the violence and destruction to a small area with a tactic called ‘kettling’. This means the police work to confine the violent demonstrators to a small area and thereby stop them from running wild throughout the centre of London.

It is a very effective tactic for which many shop and business owners should be grateful, for was this not enforced the damage would have been very widespread indeed. Who can tell how many shop fronts and cars would have been destroyed if these people had been free to roam the streets at will.

The sad thing is, instead of praise for confining the acts of destruction, the police were heavily criticised!

For the Police A Hopeless Task

It must seem to many that whatever the police do in such circumstances they cannot win public confidence. I rather think that if I was Chief Constable of London I would keep all my officers off the streets during the next demonstration, and let people see what happens when the thugs are given free rein. Then you will hear the screams of condemnation across the entire country with cries of; why didn’t the police do their job? You can’t have it both ways folks! Either you fully back the police when they try to keep the peace, or you don’t. But if you don’t, then quit moaning when your car, shop or house is vandalised during demonstration violence.

When their hands are constantly tied, and their efforts to maintain order vilified, why should they risk serious injury on our behalf?

The instigators of the violence are well aware of the press reaction after they have had their fun, and know full well that the police will bear the brunt of the blame by supposedly ‘inciting violence’.

Alfie Meadows

This weekend a youth was hit with a police truncheon and later required brain surgery. Needless to say it was banner headlines in the gutter press with cries of police brutality. Yet, no-one, and I repeat no-one, has yet questioned what the situation was prior to the incident, and what caused the policeman to lash out. For all we know the young man may have been about to bash in some policeman’s head with a rock and it was a defensive action. But no! Without any of the facts being presented the police get the blame for brutality. Either way, the young man does have my best wishes for a good recovery, and should it be proven the blow was unjustified the one responsible should be dealt with.

Not a Thug? Then Why The Mask?

Over the last few years our law enforcement body has come under constant attack by demonstrators for their supposed heavy-handed tactics, but in my opinion, if you are bent on violence and destruction “You Reap What You Sow”.

I am sure the organizers planned a peaceful demonstration, but the problem is, it’s practically hopeless trying to prevent it being hi-jacked by the criminal element. It is becoming impossible to separate the thugs from the people who just wish to make their voices heard. Once news spreads of any planned demonstration, those who get their kicks from violence turn up from all over the country relishing the idea of causing mayhem once more.

German Police Water Cannon in Action

I am of the opinion that our police forces should be given the same powers as German police. Violent demonstrations in Germany are usually over quickly, because the police are allowed to use proper containment and crowd dispersal tactics that here would have everyone screaming police brutality.

It is time our police were also allowed  the use of water cannon on the streets of our towns and cities when demonstrations become ugly. The time for pussy-footing around with this bunch of trouble makers should be ended once and for all.

On the Receiving End of Demonstrators Wrath At the Government

The fact that Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles got caught up in the violence will I am sure be thoroughly investigated. From the fierceness of the attack one would imagine that Prince Charles was solely responsible for the increase in tuition fees. It is shameful that such acts should be perpetrated against a future king on the streets of London.

It makes me think that Britain as a country has lost its soul and is descending into the dark pit from which it will never emerge. God help us all!

‘Police Brutality’ at Climate Summit in Copenhagen

Posted in Demonstration, Free Speech, Insanity, Modern World, Police Complaints, Riot, Summit, Teens, UN with tags , , , , , , , on 13/12/2009 by floroy1942

Here we go again! Another demonstration and more cries of police brutality. It seems the police are always the scapegoat for unruly demonstrations these days. If they use the ‘soft glove’ they are ineffective, and if they do their job correctly they are ‘brutal beasts’.

I for one am sick and tired of hearing the whining complaints from protesters whenever they are on the streets. If you break the law of the land you can expect action by the police, and their response is proportional to yours.

At the Copenhagen Summit, a group of around 100 youths wearing masks, many dressed in black, went on the rampage which prompted the police to take action. They were corralled by Police and arrested.

The news picture of demonstrators sat on the ground and handcuffed has raised a furore of  protest from demonstrator groups, but look closely! They are for the most part the masked youths who caused all the trouble, and not as many people suppose, innocent demonstrators. It just goes to show how misleading a single photo, and the cries of police brutality from a bunch of thugs can be.

With the exception of 13 who will face charges, all have since been released from custody. Hopefully they have learned a lesson, but I doubt it.

It is illegal in Denmark to wear a mask at a demonstration, and rightly so. If you are a peaceful demonstrator why do you need a mask?

Bricks and fireworks were thrown, and shop windows smashed in the city centre in wanton violence, and you have to ask what that has to do with demonstrating against climate change?

It is a fact that the greater majority of people who attend these demonstrations are peaceful people who want nothing more than for their voices to be heard, and I fully respect that. Democratic countries have the right to peaceful demonstration and so they should. The problem is, these events also attract the thugs and fanatics who are out to cause mayhem, anything from burning cars, smashing windows and attacking the police at every opportunity. To them it is like a sport, a drug. They get off on it!

There have been countless situations in many countries where these people have hi-jacked a demonstration for their own ends. Once the bricks and glass start flying should the police stand by and do nothing? No of course not! If it was your car or shop that was damaged, you would be yelling for them to do something.

At many demonstrations the police are outnumbered perhaps 500 or more to one and have a very difficult task to perform. Looking at news footage it is easy to see the difficulties they face. One is injured by a flying bottle or brick, but who threw it? Usually the cowardly culprit does his deed and then disappears laughing into the throng of peaceful demonstrators. So as a policeman what should you do, just take it? What would you do in the circumstances?

What is the answer? Perhaps organizers of demonstrations should make their followers more aware of the fringe element that always hides within their ranks, and make sure people know their civic duty.

If a group of thugs, fanatics, call them what you will, start masking up and throwing things, those peaceful demonstrators surrounding them could themselves take action. If the thugs were confronted by, say fifty or a hundred ‘righteous citizens’ and told to cease their activities it would help. People power can be used for good as well as evil, and there is strength in numbers.

Part of the problem today, and the reason these idiots get away with it, is people have become insular and ‘do not want to become involved‘. If you are there at all, you are involved whether you like it or not. If the peaceful demonstrators do not stand up themselves to the thugs and fanatics, we will continue to see the sort of action that took place in Copenhagen.

Many of the complaints refer to those arrested being kept outside in the cold for hours without toilet or medical facilities i.e. the troublemakers. With a total of 968 arrests for disorderly conduct or criminal damage I can quite believe police resources were stretched to the limit. What did these idiots expect, a nice warm coffee lounge with free cigarettes and drinks while they were waiting to be processed.

In my opinion, the police were doing their job to the best of their ability considering the restrictions placed upon them. The bottom line is, ‘if you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen’!

Peaceful demonstration is a right, those who abuse that right have none!

May Day – A Riot of Joy.

Posted in Britain, England, Europe, Germany, Riot, Teen Violence, Teens, UK with tags , on 01/05/2009 by floroy1942

Oh Dear! It’s May Day again. Time for the anarchists to crawl out of the sewers, holes in the pavement, or wherever else it is they hide.

It’s funny to think that at one time, May Day was a day of celebration, joy and dancing. Thankfully, for some it still is! It hasn’t entirely been taken over by those bent on causing mayhem.

The celebration was originally a Pagan Festival to mark the end of winter and the beginning of summer. It was called The ‘Festival of Flora’, the Roman Goddess of Flowers in Celtic Britain, and ‘Walpurgis Nacht’ in Germany.

It has been around long before Christianity turned it into a religious festival in an attempt to stamp out Pagan practices. Throughout history it has maintained it’s celebration status and spread across the world to The Americas, Australia, and even Hawaii.

It was not until 1856 that it turned into Labour Day in Australia as a workers holiday. This idea was also taken up worldwide. Labour Day has a predominance now over the traditional idea of May Day and who is to say that is wrong.

It is a shame however, that during the last twenty years this has been hi-jacked into a day for violent demonstrations in many major cities against the ‘Establishment’.

This year both Germany and the U.K. saw large demonstrations by anarchists, who I am sure, are not clear among themselves why they demonstrate. This Pagan Festival of Joy has been twisted into an excuse to throw petrol bombs at police, damage property and generally create destruction.

Why?

I have the impression we have created a culture where the rights of others have little meaning, and these anarchists, though small in number, are a disturbing problem for which there seems to be no answer.

Many are ‘professional rioters’ whose idea of fun is go out and destroy that which they themselves cannot have, because they get their ‘kicks’ from confronting the police and all forms of decency that the rest of us take for granted.

I once saw an interview with one of these people, and when asked what sort of society they as a group wanted, there was no intelligent reply, only bluster, because the individual didn’t really know what he wanted. It is indeed sad that we as a race have stooped so low as to breed animals like this.

Happy May Day.
