Wishes For World Peace

The whole world is in turmoil at the moment, and it has been that for years. When is the world going to be at peace? It does not seem likely for the future unless we go to war in which the whole world will be destroyed. When the war is over then there will be peace on Earth and the few survivors will be able to start again.

It is a shameful world that we go on fighting for the sake of land-grabs the search for power, and the terrible thing is most of us will not survive. There will be a few people that will survive and they will be living in hardship.

The weather will take most of the Earth and spread the radioactivity in most places across the world, except perhaps the north and south poles. Those who survive will be in the wilderness, and they will find it hard to continue living. Whales and seals will be their food and they will find it hard as the numbers dwindle.

Most other people will die of radioactive poisoning and the world will be nothing but a ruin. Only the north and south poles may be excused for the terrible trauma the overtakes the world.

We have to find a way and the will, bring the world to peace once and for all.  No-one cares about way the world is going, and they will have a shock when war breaks out among the major nations of the world.

People will be scurrying for shelters, but that will not do them any good as the shelters, and there are not many, will be blocked by the Army and the politicians.  We have come to an impasse where there are many conflicts around the world and most of it is due to the Muslims. There are battles raging across the Middle East and the Far East and they are trying to take over countries.

The United Nations should be able to handle this, but they sit on their fat backsides do nothing. It time for the U.N. to realise that the world is going to pot and they should do something about it. The United Nations have to do something to stop the Muslims from taking over the world, and that means they should take action. Once the Muslims are defeated then the world will return to peace.

What Of The Future

It seems to me that the whole world is going mad, for we have unrest all across the globe from the Far East to America. In many countries people are demonstrating and fighting the government for what they see as human rights and bad management. Many people are dissatisfied with their governments handling of crisis that effect them all, such as low wages, starvation in some countries, and the way governments are handling problems.

We also have Muslim terrorists everywhere threatening the stability of countries across the world. It makes me wonder what they hope to achieve, do they want the whole world to be Muslim?

Daily we see demonstrations in many countries, and not forgetting the violence as people show their hatred for the government.

When I was young the biggest demonstration in Britain was from the miners who were dissatisfied with the government of the day and the decisions made by Margret Thatcher. But since the sixties we have seen violent demonstrations with young people setting fire to buildings and cars, robbing shops, and battling with the police. Now we see huge gatherings of people marching through cities and towns all across the world causing destruction.  This is not the way the world should be.

Ever since ISIL came out of the woodwork we have seen complete destruction of many cities in Iraq and neighbouring countries, and it will take years to revitalise these cities. Most of the buildings will have to be demolished and a new construction programme initiated. This will cost untold billions, and where will it come from? Your guess is as good as mine!

We have seen millions of Africans on the verge of starvation, and food is not getting to the them fast enough. Many countries ignore the plight of these people and they are dying by the hundreds every day. Children are starving to death from the lack of food. Very few nations have sent food to these people and many are unable to survive.

We have seen millions of refugees coming to Europe because they cannot continue living in there own country and want a better life, and its not over yet. Governments must see that the people are fed so they will not need to move to Europe. But so few nations have taken the necessary measures to see that this happens.

The biggest threat to the whole world is the problem with North Korea and their nuclear weapons. Trump is consistently making threats of a nuclear war with the country as Kim Jong-Un enlarges his nuclear capability and threatens the USA with attacks. Trump has already said that he will annihilate the whole country if Kim Jong-Un decides to attack the USA. The fall-out from such an action would turn the whole world  into devastation, and millions of people would die as the whole world ends up being covered in radioactive clouds.

When will this stop and people of the world can live in peace once again? I doubt if this will happen in my lifetime. It is sad to say that if we keep going the way we are, we will see the annihilation of the human race on this planet.

It’s Time For Some Drastic Action

20170805_LDD001_0Underlying the troubles across the world are we headed for a nuclear war? There are tensions between Russia and the USA, not to mention the threat of North Korea which is the most dangerous country on the planet. I doubt if the Russians will start tossing nuclear weapons at the USA, but the threat of North Korea is by far the biggest. It is doubtful that Kim Yong Un will start a war with the USA for his country will be totally annihilated if it happens.

But who can tell what is going through his mind with threats passing back and forth. He now has nuclear weapons that will reach a great deal of the USA, and if he fires one at the USA, Trumps reply will be catastrophic for the whole country.

A lot of people will suffer because the nuclear radioactivity will blanket most of world and many people will suffer.

images

Not only do we have the threat of nuclear war but people are dying from malnutrition in places like Africa. Some world countries are sending food to Africa, but it is nowhere enough. People are dying from hunger in many countries and it doesn’t seem to stop.

We have billionaires who stash their money in many places across the world and they should be made to help these poor people. How on earth could someone save billions?

download

Traffic around the world is also one of the biggest problems in the world today. Watch the news and you will see that many Chinese cities, and many in India are suffering from major contamination of the air. These are not the only places in the world that have smog so thick you can see only 100 meters.

naam-ice-02

There is no doubt that we must clear up these problems if the world is to survive. Temperatures are rising all across the world and they have decimated the north and south poles, for the ice is slowly melting and this could make the seas rise to unprecedented levels that would flood areas like Florida and many others. We have unprecedented temperatures in areas like Africa and the Middle East among others where people can no longer live.

carbon_cycle

All this due to the carbon dioxide that is circling the Earth and preventing the excess heat from dissipating in to space.  If this world is to survive we must do something about it, for it will get worse as time goes by. By maybe 2050 this planet will be unlivable and human kind will cease to exist.

The Iran Dilemma

Posted in Al Quada, America, Britain, European Union, Iran, News, Nuclear Proliferation, Politics, Terrorism, United Nations with tags , , , , on 25/06/2015 by floroy1942

I have for a long time believed that a nuclear deal with Iran will never turn out satisfactorily. Ever since the USA accused them of attempting to make nuclear weapons in 2003, negotiations have been on-going to reach an agreement that would stop the Middle East nation from acquiring these weapons. Iran insists their work is for ‘peaceful purposes’ directed at providing nuclear powered electricity only, and not weapons. however, most of the evidence puts this statement into doubt.

IAEA Inspection Team

IAEA Inspection Team

Inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have shown Iran is enriching uranium far beyond that needed for a nuclear reactor to produce electricity. Last year it was revealed that they have successfully created a nuclear trigger which is required to initiate a nuclear explosion. What do they need such a thing for if all they wish to do is produce electricity? Since that time serious negotiations have been taking place to make sure this practice is stopped, and to make Iran agree not to ‘go nuclear’.

At every step of the way through the negotiations since 2004, Iran had placed one roadblock after another to prevent an agreement. But after more than ten years of negotiations some countries cannot see ‘the writing on the wall’ and still live in hope. But the interesting thing is, the research is still going on at secret locations.

Iran Leader Khamenei

Iran Leader Khamenei

Now the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has stepped into the ring and stated coldly that Iran will not accept the agreement thus reached and dismantle its nuclear infrastructure unless all sanctions are dropped immediately instead of the phased plan proposed by the USA, no freeze on research, or IAEA inspections of military sites. This means that their research can continue at military sites without the world knowing about it.

So its looks to me that the last eleven years of high level meetings have been all for nothing, and Iran is still determined to go its own way. Put in simple terms, Iran has no intention of giving up its nuclear ambitions which is what I always thought.

For a country that has openly funded and provided weapons to terrorist organizations like al Quada, Hamas, I.S. etc. to have nuclear weapons is probably the most serious threat to peace the world has ever known. The consequences of such an event are unthinkable.

Iran Nuclear Faciclities

Iran Nuclear Facilities

All the years they have been negotiating with smiles on their faces, but I believe there lurks behind the smile a deadly purpose, to become a nuclear power. Nuclear weapons would make them king of the Middle East who could dictate to all the oil rich nations what they should and should not do. With their insane hatred of the USA, they could pass on nuclear weapons to terrorists with the intention of destroying major American cities like Washington or New York and then claim their innocence, that they knew nothing about it.

It may be easy to say, “Oh but they are not that crazy”, but they are Muslims with a belief that when they die they will all get their 72 virgins.

Who Is Aiming At Whom?

Who Is Aiming At Whom?

And what of Israel? If Iran became a nuclear power it may be their plan to follow through on their threat to nuke the country and “remove it from the face of the Earth.” If Iran ever became a nuclear nation there is no telling what they would do with the power. The dangers of a nuclear war in the world would become extremely high if these nutters get the bomb.

Israel has already said that if they proceed and get the materials and ‘know-how’ to make a bomb they will nuke the country to stop it happening. This would be a massive gamble, for it would turn every Muslim on the planet against them, even though secretly  many would be happy they had.

I am sure that every country in the Middle East does not want to see Iran become a nuclear power for their own safety. The leaders of Saudi Arabia have already made it known they would seek to become a nuclear power if Iran does, so where does that leave us?

Reagan and Gorbachov Sign Nuclear Treaty.

Reagan and Gorbachov Sign Nuclear Treaty.

To date the balance of power and the agreements signed between the United States and Russia have removed the threat of an all-out nuclear war on the planet, but if Iran goes nuclear what will happen then? They will become to a great extent a threat to the peace of the world. It could take only one nuclear missile launch to destroy the peace we have known since World War Two. If missiles start flying across the globe there is one thing for sure, mankind will not live to produce another generation.

I sincerely hope I am wrong, but to me there could be hard time ahead for the world. Whichever way you look at it, I am glad I am not a teenager with the whole of my life before me, for if they achieve their ambition dangerous times are ahead.

Are The Iran Nuclear Negotiations Worth It?

Posted in America, Britain, European Union, Insurgents, Iran, Israel, News, Nuclear Proliferation, Terrorism, United Nations with tags , , , , on 09/04/2015 by floroy1942

Do you believe that Iran is seeking to make nuclear weapons or that, as they say, it is for peaceful purposes only? This thorny issue has been of major concern to many countries for the past twelve years. For more than a decade negotiations have been on-going, and in my view are still far from an agreement.

Says It All Really

Says It All Really

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

In a recent statement Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said, “I have never been optimistic about negotiating with America. While I was not optimistic, I agreed with this particular negotiation and supported the negotiators.” He went on to say, “We will sign no agreement but the one that immediately abolishes all the economic sanctions on the first day of the implementation of the agreement.” It would seem he wants ‘to have his cake and eat it too’.

The negotiators on the other side of the table are insisting that sanctions will be lifted gradually once it is seen that Iran is abiding by the terms of the agreement. I would consider this to be a much more sensible approach than that stated by the Iranian Leader.

Iran's Nuclear Facilities

Iran’s Nuclear Facilities

To demand the removal of all sanctions on the day the agreement is signed is no guarantee that Iran will fully take the steps required to limit its nuclear programme.

There will need to be a system of inspections by the  The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to ensure conformance with the terms of the agreement, otherwise Iran could just continue with their activities in secret. This all takes time to arrange, and verification will be a long process. In my view, Iran has been stringing out these talks for more than ten years while in the background they have been continuing their quest for fissionable material. After so many years of negotiation it is highly possible they already have sufficient material to make at least one nuclear weapon, crude though it might be. It would be easy to hide this away somewhere out of sight of the IAEA inspectors.

Nuclear Site

Nuclear Site

It is worthy to note that when they first allowed these inspectors into their sites a couple of years ago they allowed inspections of all but one, and then some months later allowed the inspectors into that site while refusing them entry to another. Smells fishy to me, how about you?

If over the intervening years Iran has managed to make sufficient nuclear material for a bomb, what would they do with it?

Their two main enemies are Israel, and as stated on many an occasion, the United States of America. So if you were them, and had a secret nuclear bomb what would you do with it?

Tactics

Tactics

The whole idea of Iran becoming a nuclear nation is a horrific one, for being a staunch Islamic nation which has shown its hatred for the West on many occasions, with atomic weapons it is capable of anything.  Iran has been a very active supporter of terrorist groups across the world, supplying them with arms and funds for their inhuman activities, so who is to say they will not provide someone like al Quada or Islamic State with a nuclear weapon?

A Terrorists Dream

A Terrorists Dream

There are without doubt more than enough terrorist organizations that would love to have a nuclear weapon, no matter how crude. They make no secret about who their enemies are, and would love the chance to blow up Tel Aviv or New York for example. Who is to say Iran would not initiate a devastating nuclear attack on Israel, their sworn enemy?

'Diplomacy' At Work

‘Diplomacy’ At Work

Iran as a nuclear nation would also be a great threat in the Middle East, for it would give them control, and if you remember, that’s where most of the world’s oil comes from.

This insistence by Iran that all sanctions are lifted as soon as the agreement is signed could spell the end of the negotiations. It remains to be seen if the western powers will cave in to this, but if they do it will set a dangerous precedent.

Weird Science – And Scientists!

Posted in America, Australia, Britain, Canada, Modern World, News, Nuclear Proliferation, Nuclear Weapons, Politics, Religion, Space, United Nations with tags , , , , on 28/11/2014 by floroy1942
The Red Planet

The Red Planet

I have always considered scientists to be very smart and a notch above the rest of us, but occasionally something pops up to make me wonder if I should. That happened a few days ago when a respected physicist and author named John Brandenberg came out with something that defies the imagination.

John Brandenberg

John Brandenberg

He is of the opinion that there was once intelligent life on Mars that was annihilated by a nuclear war that left the planet “cold and lifeless.” In his opinion, a mission to Mars should be undertaken at the earliest possibility to investigate “if we are in danger from the attackers who ‘killed’ Mars.” According to him many of the nuclear isotopes found on the planet are similar to those from hydrogen bombs here on Earth.

Mars Crater - Bomb Or Asteroid?

Mars Crater – Bomb Or Asteroid?

This all comes from his new book in which he says, “This Martian civilization apparently perished due to a planet-wide catastrophe of unknown origin,” and poses the question “Was it a massive nuclear attack?” He points to the many craters on Mars and suggests they could be the result of nuclear bombs. The more usual theory by other physicists is that Mars was struck by asteroids the eventually robbed it of its magnetic field, and thereby its atmosphere.

Brandenberg however is of the opinion that the Mars people were annihilated by “another civilization or a rogue artificial intelligence.” In his opinion we could be next! Food for thought!

Sci-Fi Version Of Artificial Intelligence

Sci-Fi Version Of Artificial Intelligence

According to him, the reason we have not had replies to the signals we beam into space in our search for intelligent life, is because these life-forms are being destroyed by whatever force destroyed the Martians. In his view, we are close to being noticed and following the same fate. In his book he says, “The Astronomer Edward Harrison suggested, one major factor cutting short the lifetime of civilizations was older predatory civilizations who would wipe out young civilizations once they became detectable through radio broadcasts. The motivation for such genocidal actions would be to avoid later competition. It is possible that our interstellar neighbourhood contains forces hostile to young, noisy, civilizations such as ourselves. Such hostile forces could range from things as alien as AI (Artificial Intelligence) ‘with a grudge’ against flesh and blood.”

Oh no! We’re all going to die!!!!!

Structures? I doubt it!

Structures? I doubt it!

Brandenberg thinks that the appearance of ‘structures’ on the surface of Mars seen by satellites and the Mars Rover enforce his theory of an ancient civilization on the Red Planet. Well, looking at the photo I would be hesitant in calling those structures, but its a free world and each can think what they will.

Is This What Awaits Us?

Is This What Awaits Us?

It is an undeniable fact that human life will not exist on Earth forever, for being the way we are, we could end up destroying ourselves in a catastrophic war. On the other hand we could well be discovered by some alien race that takes a fancy to Earth but not its occupants, and therefore wipes us all out.

Asteroid Belt Or The Remains Of Maldek?

Asteroid Belt Or The Remains Of Maldek?

When it comes to space and the universe there are indeed some strange ideas out there. Some people actually believe there was a planet called Maldek orbiting between Mars and Jupiter that was totally destroyed by a hydrogen bomb. Supposedly, all that remains of this planet is the asteroid belt between Jupiter and Mars.

According to the Aetherius Society: “They exploded a hydrogen bomb and completely destroyed the planet Maldek and murdered the whole populace in one blinding flash of searing flame. All that is now left of that beautiful planet is the asteroid belt.”

The Aetherius Society

The Aetherius Society

On Brandenberg’s theory they said, “Although Brandenburg’s theory is on more solid ground, it still amounts to speculation based on our present day awareness of the power of nuclear weapons and our fear of its misuse. It is a warning that we could do the same to our own planet, and underlines the belief of many scientists that we have not detected intelligent life elsewhere in the universe because at some point civilisations will become extinct either through catastrophe or self-destruction.”  Well, I have to say I do agree with the closing statement.

Dr. George KingOf course you may wonder who these crackpots are, well I’ll tell you. The Aetherius Society is a UFO based religion that was founded in 1955 by the late George King and operates in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and three African nations.

The Earth's Future Is For A Great Part In Our Hands

The Earth’s Future Is For A Great Part In Our Hands

If you take a look at our world today with its political tensions, over-population, terrorism and economic problems there can be no doubt that pretty soon something has to go bang. What with national pride, greed, corruption and fanaticism there seems little likelihood of everyone sitting around the table and solving these issues to everyone’s satisfaction in the near future.

So it makes me wonder what an alien species will find here if they eventually pick up the radio messages we beam into space and decide to visit. All I know is, I won’t be around, but good luck to those who will!

North Korea and Iran – The Sanctions Farce

Posted in Al Quada, America, Iran, Israel, North Korea, Nuclear Proliferation, Nuclear Weapons, Terrorism, UK, United Nations, USA with tags , , on 15/02/2013 by floroy1942

Both North Korea and Iran have upset the international community for years with their unending attempts to produce nuclear weapons, and it seems all the UN can do is impose sanctions against them. It is all very complicated, but in a nutshell, these mainly include banning weapons sales to North Korea and Iran, stopping aircraft or ships on the high seas bound for either country that is suspected of carrying military equipment or weapons, and preventing the travel of any person associated with the arms trade in these countries. The laughable thing about these sanctions is that the UN cannot really enforce any of them, and all countries are not given real power to do so but must do it on their own initiative!

North Korea Missile Test

North Korea Missile Test

In each case, the UN roundly condemns their actions and is demanding that both countries return to the negotiating table, refrain from further research and tests, and basically, cease all ‘provocative’ action related to nuclear weapons. Both countries take no notice of this at all. This is viewed by many as nothing more than a slap on the wrist, for the UN seems totally incapable of taking any concertive action in this matter.

Many countries have taken unilateral action against both nations, for example, apart from the weapons bans in place, Australia, Japan, South Korea, India, Israel, Switzerland, the EU and the United States have all put restrictions on the travel of business people in the country associated with that countries nuclear programme. Some countries have put an economic freeze in place by blocking, in the case of Iran for example, the foreign activities of the Bank of Iran and a ban on Iranian oil imports.

For obvious reasons this is but a snap-shot of the depth of the sanctions placed on North Korea and Iran, but the most important point is none of them are having any affect. North Korea is still carrying out nuclear tests and long-range missile development, and the only ones suffering are the poor people. In Iran it is almost impossible to buy imported luxury goods and oil revenues are down, but who the hell cares, “we are on the way to becoming a nuclear nation and sanctions will not stop us” they say!

Iran Missile Test

Iran Missile Test

When it comes down to it, both countries want to be able to stand up to ‘Uncle Sam’, and hence the nuclear weapons and long-range missiles. What these people fail to realize is that if they returned to peaceful ways they wouldn’t need to, because America among others would not be breathing down their necks every day. All they are doing by pursuing this course is to put world peace in danger.

It has been said often enough that countries like Israel and the USA may well take preventative action against Iran if it persists in its desire to have a nuclear weapon and the means to deliver it. In this respect North Korea is a bigger danger because of its huge army, and any provocation could send it hurtling into the South.

The danger from this problem is all around us, but so far no-one has been able to take any meaningful action to stop its escalation, certainly not the UN talking shop.

We could well be on the verge of a new world-wide nuclear arms race, for if North Korea eventually gets  both a nuclear weapon and a viable long-range missile it stands to reason that countries like Japan and South Korea among others will want them too. If Iran reaches its goal, what is to stop many other Middle East states from wanting the same thing for protection?

It would seem to this simple soul that a complete turnaround is required. The UN and all its members should perhaps ask North Korea to sign a proper peace agreement with the South that finally closes the Korean War chapter, in return they would receive full financial and domestic aid to rid the country of its poverty without meddling in its internal political system. If countries could pour billions of dollars into the country and ‘bring it into the 21st century’ it would enrich the lives of every man woman and child, and Kim Jong Un would be immortalised for bringing true prosperity to the nation. Yea! I know, sounds too far-fetched but worth a try?

Iranian Nuclear Sites

Iranian Nuclear Sites

Iran is of course a totally different situation because it is already a prosperous nation, so what could we do for them? Well, for a start we could stop threatening them and give them assurances they will be left in peace to prosper as they wish. I don’t pretend to have all the answers, but maybe the first step is to ask them what they want in exchange for the cessation of their nuclear activities. But the one trouble with this prickly nation is its involvement with terrorist organizations such as al Quada and Hezbollah to whom they have long been known to give their backing.

It’s a very difficult situation with currently no end in sight, but one thing is for sure, sanctions are not going to bring these two belligerents to the negotiating table, far from it, it is likely to make them more determined. Perhaps it will take every nation on the planet to line up its guns, tanks and combat aircraft on the borders of these two countries and threaten to invade before they will listen, but the chances of that happening are zero I should imagine. Either way, I hope someone comes up with a sane idea to end the standoff before we all become embroiled in another war the likes of which we have never experienced. Suggestions anyone?

Roy.
