Cameron And The Human Rights Act

A Man With A Hard Job Ahead Of Him.

A Man With A Hard Job Ahead Of Him.

The European Human Rights Act (EHRA) has for years been a bone of contention in the United Kingdom. Now it seems that David Cameron is trying to get it replaced with a British Human Rights Act (BHRA). I wish him luck, but it seems it will be a hard road to follow.

Already some Tory backbenchers are rebelling against the decision, some after having quiet conversations with Nicola Sturgeon who is dead against the idea. She is very busy sowing the seeds of dissension among Cameron’s backbenchers to back up her own refusal to accept the planned legislation.

Nicola Sturgeon - A Woman Who Knows What She Wants And How To Get It!

Nicola Sturgeon – A Woman Who Knows What She Wants And How To Get It!

What some of these people do not seem to realize is that immigrant criminals, and even British criminals are making a joke of British justice by using this act to escape proper punishment, or in the case of many immigrants, to evade deportation. The list of problems caused by this Act is endless, and it fails to ensure that justice is done in many areas.

Before Tony Blair brought in the HRA in 1998 there was nothing wrong with the justice system in this country. It worked well, for all classes of people. Justice was done and more importantly, seen to be done. Now we have a pot pourri of laws that allow many criminals to escape proper justice because of the dictates from Strasbourg.

The HRA is intended to protect ‘right to life, privacy, and free speech’ among others, but when you look at life in the U.K. today, at least free speech has been successfully stifled by Tony Blair’s Race Laws which protect immigrants. Say a single word against immigrants on the street today and you are immediately arrested. But as we all know, the reverse is not true!

Rights For Whom?

Rights For Whom?

There have been many cases of immigrant career criminals that our courts have not been able to deport because of Article 8 of the EHRA, which is the so-called ‘Right to Family Life’. So we are forced to allow them to stay and they continue with their chosen profession.

As I have often said, it took more than ten years before Britain could deport the two Muslim Imams who were recruiting impressionable young Muslims to go and fight for the Jihad. You may remember Abu Qatada and Abu Hamsa. Ten years of constant appeals to the Human Rights Court in Strasbourg about one thing or another, but we won eventually, even if it did cost the tax payer many millions.

Aso Mohammed Ibrahim Will Be Allowed To Remain In The UK Despite Leaving Amy Houston, 12 Dying In The Road.

Aso Mohammed Ibrahim Was Allowed To Remain In The UK Despite Leaving Amy Houston, 12 Dying In The Road.

There is also another story I wrote about an immigrant career criminal who ran over a small girl with his car. He stopped, got out of the car and looked at her, but instead of trying to help he drove over her with his rear wheels and sped off. Needless to say she died. The Justice system wanted to deport him because of his continuous criminal activities but couldn’t because he claimed a right to family life with an English girl he married. They did not live in the same town let alone the same house, but Strasbourg told Britain we could not deport him. Such is the Human Rights Act in all its glory!

It is true that there is much good in the Act for it protects many otherwise vulnerable people, but there are areas where it goes much too far, especially in the area of crime. Now the Court wants to stop us sentencing serial murderers and rapists to life imprisonment for example! They say we must review the case every so often with a view to releasing these maniacs!

The Fate Of British Justice

The Fate Of British Justice

Believe me when I say we would be much better off without this millstone around our necks, and introduce a proper Bill of Rights for the U.K. One that at least ensures that justice can be done as in the old days, but at the same time protects the vulnerable. What we have now is totally inadequate, for it can be misused in many ways by those wishing to escape justice.

A Muslim’s View Of Muslims – And It Explains A Lot!

Posted in America, Britain, European Union, Iran, Israel, Modern World, Muslim, News, Pakistan, Religion with tags , , , , on 25/05/2015 by floroy1942

I came across this in my e-mail folder yesterday and thought to pass it on because it explains an awful lot about Muslims and their behaviour. It sheds light on why they are so close-minded, and why they behave the way they do. After reading this it was like someone switched on a light when you try to understand the Muslim mind. In his comparisons the writer opens up a whole host of knowledge that I certainly did not know, and I suspect that you will not either.

It was written by Farrukh Saleem PhD who is a Muslim political scientist and economic theorist, financial analyst, writer and television personality. He was born in Pakistan and educated in The United States, and after investing in the New York Stock Exchange he began writing for various newspapers before returning to Pakistan where he became a writer for such newspapers as The News International, Pakistan’s largest English-language daily newspaper among others.

He has often written about the Jews and Israel, and in this recent article, published in the Muslim Times in 2013, Saleem advocates directing a friendly foreign policy towards Israel. When he draws comparisons between Muslims and Jews, he explains that the main Muslim problem is a failure to pass on knowledge:

Why are Jews so powerful? There are only 14 million Jews in the world; seven million in the Americas, five million in Asia, two million in Europe and 100,000 in Africa. For every single Jew in the world there are 100 Muslims. Yet, Jews are more than a hundred times more powerful than all the Muslims put together. Ever wondered why?

Jesus of Nazareth was Jewish. Albert Einstein, the most influential scientist of all time and TIME magazine’s ‘Person of the Century’, was a Jew. Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis was a Jew. So were Karl Marx, Paul Samuelson and Milton Friedman.

Here are a few other Jews whose intellectual output has enriched the whole humanity: Benjamin Rubin gave humanity the vaccinating needle. Jonas Salk developed the first polio vaccine. Albert Sabin developed the improved live polio vaccine. Gertrude Elion gave us a leukaemia fighting drug. Baruch Blumberg developed the vaccination for Hepatitis B. Paul Ehrlich discovered a treatment for syphilis. Elie Metchnikoff won a Nobel Prize in infectious diseases. Bernard Katz won a Nobel Prize in neuromuscular transmission. Andrew Schally won a Nobel in endocrinology. Aaron Beck founded Cognitive Therapy. Gregory Pincus developed the first oral contraceptive pill. George Wald won a Nobel for our understanding of the human eye. Stanley Cohen won a Nobel in embryology. Willem Kolff came up with the kidney dialysis machine.

Over the past 105 years, 14 million Jews have won 15-dozen Nobel Prizes while only three Nobel Prizes have been won by 1.4 billion Muslims (other than Peace Prizes for Arafat). Why are Jews so powerful? Stanley Mezor invented the first micro-processing chip. Leo Szilard developed the first nuclear chain reactor; Peter Schultz, optical fibre cable; Charles Adler, traffic lights; Benno Strauss, stainless steel; Isador Kisee, sound movies; Emile Berliner, telephone microphone; Charles Ginsburg, videotape recorder.

Famous financiers in the business world who belong to Jewish faith include Ralph Lauren (Polo), Levis Strauss (Levi’s Jeans), Howard Schultz (Starbuck’s), Sergey Brin (Google), Michael Dell (Dell Computers), Larry Ellison (Oracle), Donna Karan (DKNY), Irv Robbins (Baskins & Robbins) and Bill Rosenberg (Dunkin Donuts). Richard Levin, President of Yale University, is a Jew. So are Henry Kissinger (American Secretary of State), Alan Greenspan (Fed. Chairman under Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush), Joseph Lieberman (US Senator), Madeleine Albright (American Secretary of State), Casper Weinberger (American Secretary of Defence), Maxim Litvinov (USSR Foreign Minister), David Marshal ( Singapore’s First Chief Minister), Issac Isaacs (Governor-General of Australia), Benjamin Disraeli (British statesman and author), Yevgeny Primakov (Russian PM), Barry Goldwater (US Senator), Jorge Sampaio (President of Portugal), John Deutsch (CIA Director), Herb Gray (Canadian Deputy PM), Pierre Mendes (French PM), Michael Howard (British Home Secretary), Bruno Kreisky (Chancellor of Austria ) and Robert Rubin (American Secretary of Treasury).

In the media, famous Jews include Wolf Blitzer (CNN), Barbara Walters (ABC News), Eugene Meyer (Washington Post), Henry Grunwald (editor-in-chief of Time Magazine), Katherine Graham (publisher of The Washington Post), Joseph Lelyveld (Executive editor, The New York Times), and Max Frankel (New York Times).

The most beneficent philanthropist in the history of the world is George Soros, a Jew, who has so far donated a colossal $4 billion most of which has gone as aid to scientists and universities around the world. Second to George Soros is Walter Annenberg, another Jew, who has built a hundred libraries by donating an estimated $2 billion.

At the Olympics, Mark Spitz set a record of sorts by winning seven gold medals; Lenny Krayzelburg is a three-time Olympic gold medallist. Spitz, Krayzelburg and Boris Becker (Tennis) are all Jewish.

Did you know that Harrison Ford, George Burns, Tony Curtis, Charles Bronson, Sandra Bullock, Billy Crystal, Woody Allen, Paul Newman, Peter Sellers, Dustin Hoffman, Michael Douglas, Ben Kingsley, Kirk Douglas, Goldie Hawn, Cary Grant, William Shatner, Jerry Lewis and Peter Falk are all Jewish?

As a matter of fact, Hollywood itself was founded by a Jew. Among directors and producers, Steven Spielberg, Mel Brooks, Oliver Stone, Aaron Spelling (Beverly Hills 90210), Neil Simon (The Odd Couple), Andrew Vaina (Rambo 1/2/3), Michael Man (Starsky and Hutch), Milos Forman (One flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest), Douglas Fairbanks (The Thief of Baghdad ) and Ivan Reitman (Ghostbusters) are all Jewish.

So, why are Jews so powerful? Answer : EDUCATION

Why are Muslims so powerless? There are an estimated 1,476,233,470 Muslims on the face of the planet: one billion in Asia, 400 million in Africa, 44 million in Europe and six million in the Americas. Every fifth human being is a Muslim; for every single Hindu there are two Muslims, for every Buddhist there are two Muslims and for every Jew there are one hundred Muslims.

Ever wondered why Muslims are so powerless? Here is why: There are 57 member-countries of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), and all of them put together have around 500 universities; one university for every three million Muslims. The United States has 5,758 universities and India has 8,407. In 2004, Shanghai Jiao Tong University compiled an ‘Academic Ranking of World Universities’, and intriguingly, not one university from Muslim-majority states was in the top-500.

As per data collected by the UNDP, literacy in the Christian world stands at nearly 90 per cent and 15 Christian-majority states have a literacy rate of 100 per cent. A Muslim-majority state, as a sharp contrast, has an average literacy rate of around 40 per cent and there is no Muslim-majority state with a literacy rate of 100 per cent. Some 98 per cent of the ‘literates’ in the Christian world had completed primary school, while less than 50 per cent of the ‘literates’ in the Muslim world did the same. Around 40 per cent of the ‘literates’ in the Christian world attended university while no more than two per cent of the ‘literates’ in the Muslim world did the same. Muslim-majority countries have 230 scientists per one million Muslims. The US has 4,000 scientists per million and Japan has 5,000 per million. In the entire Arab world, the total number of full-time researchers is 35,000 and there are only 50 technicians per one million Arabs. (in the Christian world there are up to 1,000 technicians per one million). Furthermore, the Muslim world spends 0.2 per cent of its GDP on research and development, while the Christian world spends around five per cent of its GDP. Conclusion: The Muslim world lacks the capacity to produce knowledge!

Daily newspapers per 1,000 people and number of book titles per million are two indicators of whether knowledge is being diffused in a society. In Pakistan, there are 23 daily newspapers per 1,000 Pakistanis while the same ratio in Singapore is 360. In the UK, the number of book titles per million stands at 2,000 while the same in Egypt is 20. Conclusion: The Muslim world is failing to diffuse knowledge.

Exports of high technology products as a percentage of total exports are an important indicator of knowledge application. Pakistan’s export of high technology products as a percentage of total exports stands at one per cent. The same for Saudi Arabia is 0.3 per cent; Kuwait, Morocco, and Algeria are all at 0.3 per cent, while Singapore is at 58 per cent. Conclusion: The Muslim world is failing to apply knowledge.

Why are Muslims powerless.? …..Because we aren’t producing knowledge,…..Because we aren’t diffusing knowledge.,…..Because we aren’t applying knowledge. And, the future belongs to knowledge-based societies .

Interestingly, the combined annual GDP of 57 OIC-countries is under $2 trillion. America, just by herself, produces goods and services worth $12 trillion; China $8 trillion, Japan $3.8 trillion and Germany $2.4 trillion (purchasing power parity basis). Oil rich Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Qatar collectively produce goods and services (mostly oil) worth $500 billion; Spain alone produces goods and services worth over $1 trillion, Catholic Poland $489 billion and Buddhist Thailand $545 billion. ….. (Muslim GDP as a percentage of world GDP is fast declining). So, why are Muslims so powerless? Answer: Lack of education. All we do is shout to Allah the whole day! And blame everyone else for our multiple failures!

I guess that when you look at it this way, it does explain a lot of the problems with the Muslim world. Having viewed the points put forward by Farrukh Saleem I can find no fault with his logic. He is obviously a learned man who understands the Muslim world very well and everything he puts forward makes sense. No race can advance in today’s world without a certain level of education. A fact that is becoming more obvious as time goes by, and we see the changes that are being made in our daily lives with more and more technology.

Ignore Islamic State At Your Peril!

Posted in Al Quada, America, Britain, European Union, Immigrants, Islamic State, News, Saudi Arabia, Terrorism, United Nations with tags , , , , on 24/05/2015 by floroy1942

The United Nations and world governments reaction to the advances made by Islāmic State (I.S.) in Syria and Iraq are to say the least, shameful. Everybody watches the TV news or reads reports in the newspapers about the advances they are making and just shrug their shoulders: “What’s it got to do with me?”

The Way Things Stand Its No Idle Threat!

The Way Things Stand It’s No Idle Threat!

Few people seem to realize that these Muslim terrorists are fast becoming a global threat as they spread their influence to more and more countries. Informed reports stated this last week that recruitment by I.S. is far outstripping those killed in battle. Kill ten and they get a hundred more recruits!

So what does this say to you? “Oh its nothing to worry about – It’s a Muslim problem – It’s all happening far away from our country!” Typical of what people think about the crisis as no-one gives a second thought to what is happening. But to be honest, I think we are fools to ignore this situation.

Deadly Mosque Attack By I.S.

Deadly Mosque Attack By I.S.

A year ago, who would have thought that Saudi Arabia, the most stable country in the entire Middle East would be the hotbed of violence it is today? A month or so ago I.S. said they were going to target the country because of the Saudi Air Force attacks against militants in Yemen, and they have. Last weeks mosque bombing is but the tip of the iceberg of what may well come. Muslim terrorists have used the tactic of fermenting trouble among the indigenous population in lands they wish to target for several years. It happened in Egypt, Libya, Nigeria, Kenya, Yemen and many other places across the globe.

All they needed to do was send in a few agitators who would stir up the feelings of the locals and an insurrection is born. Muslims are easily agitated into a mob even though half of them do not know what they are agitating against. These people are by tradition easily excitable, as we have seen many times in the past where someone whips up a mob against anyone they see as having ‘insulted Allah’.

Insulting Message To I.S.

Insulting Message To I.S.

Apart from a small number of countries assisting Iraq with bombing I.S. camps, supplying arms and ammunition, not a single government is concerning itself with this menace. And meanwhile, I.S. is slowly but surely spreading its influence to other countries.

Europeans should be asking themselves how long it will be before we see the first I.S. attack on our soil. At the moment we are concentrating on rescuing migrants from boats in the Mediterranean Sea and giving them a home. The point has already been raised about how many of these people are I.S. terrorists mingling with the refugees to get a free passage here.

How Do You Tell If Some Of These Belong To I.S.?

How Do You Tell If Some Of These Belong To I.S.?

The migrants are coming across in such numbers that it is impossible to vet each one before allowing them to enter. Who knows how many there are hidden among the refugees, dozens, hundreds? I am sure we will find out in the next year or so.

There are more than enough Muslim agitators on European soil to start a campaign against us. All it takes is someone from this group to organize them and bolster their hatred for the people who gave them a home before they begin a campaign of bombing and attacking innocent civilians.

On top of this, we also have people who left Europe to go and fight with I.S. in Syria and Iraq that we know have been trained in making explosive vests and car bombs. These people have also been filtering back into Europe, and the authorities know that several hundred have returned already without being stopped at the border.

London Attack

London Attack

In my view, (you can agree or not) we are in the build-up phase to an internal fight against terrorism right here in Europe. We have in excess of 56 million Muslims living among us, and a large majority would be happy to see Europe become an Islāmic State, although most would not admit it openly.

It only takes one group like I.S. operating in this way, quietly and behind the scenes, to organize a rebellion in any country, especially among Muslims.

But what to do to combat this menace? Well, considering the world-wide problem we have currently with Muslim extremists, the only way to deal with it, as I have said many times before, is with a multi-national U.N. task force that goes from country to country and wipes out all the terrorist groups. The problems are not only in Africa and the Middle East, the areas that grab the headlines, but also in places like Afghanistan, Pakistan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the list just goes on and on.

Symbolic Of What The U.N. Is Capable Of - NOTHING!

Symbolic Of What The U.N. Is Capable Of – NOTHING!

Each day the problem is getting bigger but no-one seems interested enough to take solid action. All the world governments express their sympathy with the various countries and take in millions of refugees fleeing the violence, but that could well be exacerbating the problem. No-one takes the time to realize that stopping the violence will solve the refugee problem in a short time.

Everyone on the planet should have the right to live in peace, but that is something far away from the present day, and unless we make our governments come together to stamp out groups like Islāmic State and their ideological followers, we never will. Go in peace.

The British Referendum On Europe

Posted in Britain, Conservative Party, David Cameron, European Union, Government, Immigrants, News, Parliament, Politics, UK with tags , , , , on 21/05/2015 by floroy1942

David Cameron promised a referendum on Britain’s membership of the European Union (E.U.) and it got him elected, apart from the fact he had no real competition (I say that because no-one with any intelligence would vote for that clown Miliband). Cameron promised the referendum before the end of 2017 and this time he will have to honour that promise.

Which Is More Important? Our Country Or The Union?

Which Is More Important? Our Country Or The Union?

It is still 2015 and yet the muck is starting fly already because some people are insisting that E.U. migrants living in the U.K. should be allowed to vote in the referendum. How totally stupid is that!

The problem seems to be that there are over one million E.U. migrants living in the U.K., and they could well tip the balance to us staying in when the majority of British people want us to get out. They will certainly vote to stay in for their own interests.

In my view, another thorn in the side are the immigrants that have flooded in since Tony Blair opened the doors to this country. We currently have 7.5 million immigrants in the country who make up 11.9% of the total population. They too will have a huge effect on the outcome of this referendum. I believe these people will also vote to stay in because they can see major immigration curbs coming if we opt out, and they may prevent family members from joining them.

The idea has been put forward that only those born and bred should be allowed a vote, and to be honest, I agree. If that is not the case then the future of this country could well be decided by the immigrant population, and that is not right.

A Man With A Dilemma. Let's Hope He Makes The Right Decision

A Man With A Dilemma. Let’s Hope He Makes The Right Decision

David Cameron has said that he will make his decision known before the referendum date, but I for one hope he airs on the side of caution. Currently there are worries that pro-Europeans will try to rig the outcome by demanding that everyone has a say in the final vote. If that happens, in my view it will be a disaster. E.U. immigrants are currently allowed to vote in local and European elections but not general elections and that is how it should stay.

Some people in parliamentary circles are pushing for the referendum to be brought forward to 2016. Labour leadership front-runner Andy Burnham said in an interview, “It should be in the Queen’s Speech that it should be in 2016, and the message I would send to Cameron is that I would offer support to deliver it in 2016. It is not going to be in anybody’s interest for this to rumble on through this parliament. We have to get to it. We have to do it, embrace the argument. That is the most fundamental problem facing British business right now.” I wonder however if he will support the government on the voting question. It should be interesting to find out.

I hope that we can get out from under the yoke of Europe that dictates to us how we should run our country. With its Human Rights Laws, Immigration Laws and Justice Laws etc. this country is slowly being strangled, and any true born and bred British person has less rights than an immigrant! That is not the way it is supposed to be. We need to leave Europe and run our own affairs as we have always done, for the experiences of the past have proven that our system works, and works well.

Time For A Major Overhaul Of Britain’s Education System!

Posted in Britain, Child Abuse, Children, David Cameron, English Schools, Government, Immigrants, News, Primary Education, Teens with tags , , , , on 17/05/2015 by floroy1942

Once again we are shown how the education system in Britain is failing our youth. It’s no wonder we have so many unemployed young people when many school-leavers cannot read or write properly, as is so often reported. News out today indicates that in a grand survey of the education systems of 76 countries, Britain comes twentieth!

The Top Ten - The Far East Leads The Way.

The Top Ten – The Far East Leads The Way.

When the system in countries like Estonia (7), Poland (11), Vietnam (12) and Slovenia (18) are far better than our own its time to start making some major changes. It should not come as a surprise that countries in the Far East have the best records for education. The top European nation is Finland that comes sixth.

The Bottom Ten With Britain Last.

The Bottom Ten With Britain Last.

Stephen Hawking - One You Will Doubtless Recognize.

Professor Stephen Hawking – One You Will Doubtless Recognize.

Up to the 1950’s we had one of the best education systems in the entire world. In that time we produced world leading scientists, doctors, theoretician’s and inventors etc. but compare that to today and you get zilch! Remember also that it was without all the fancy computers they have today!

What happened? Education system changes by various governments have brought down the levels to such an extent that anyone leaving school today hasn’t got a cat in hell’s chance of finding meaningful employment.

I Just Hope He Knows His Stuff!

I Just Hope He Knows His Stuff!

A large majority of the teaching staff cannot answer a pupils question without referring to the lesson book because they do not know their subject properly. I hope the exceptions will forgive me!

On top of that, exams have become ridiculously easy thanks to Tony Blair and his government dumbing down the pass rates, and to top it all off, the English education system is bending over backwards to accommodate immigrants. For crying out loud, what is our government doing?

Muslims In British Schools - English! English! English!

Muslims In British Schools – English! English! English!

There should be one single curriculum for every school in the country as in the old days, and if an immigrant can’t speak English then he/she should be told to learn, not given classes in his/her language! There was a report some months ago about a school introducing translation computers that would translate what the teacher said, and questions from immigrants who did not speak the language. How ridiculous is that!

Wrong David! Very Wrong!

Wrong David! Very Wrong!

We should do away with all these silly ‘Free Schools’ begun by Cameron and his government, we should do away with all the Islamic schools and tell these people that if they want their children to learn things in Arabic they do it on their own time! This is Britain, and you either conform or get the hell out!

The 1950's - You Can Bet Your Last Dollar This Man Knew His Subject Inside Out.

The 1950’s – You Can Bet Your Last Dollar This Man Knew His Subject Inside Out.

There should be one curriculum based on the 1950’s model for everybody, and one special school like the old grammar schools for those who pass the entrance exam (11 Plus) on their way to university. The government needs to get rid of all the computers in schools until the final year so that children learn to develop and use their minds, not just which button to push.

It is very sad for people of my generation to see the desperate decline of British values in today’s world. I am just glad that I have seen the Best of Britain and am not having to cope with the demoralized system we have today. If things keep going the way they are, in the future our once proud nation will become no better than a third world country in today’s fast-moving society.

After this rant I feel somewhat better!

Paddy had long heard the stories of an amazing family tradition. It seems that his father, grandfather and great-grandfather had all been able to walk on water on their 18th birthday. On that special day, they’d each walked across the lake to the pub on the far side for their first legal drink. So when Paddy’s, 18th birthday came around, he and his pal Mick, took a boat out to the middle of the lake, Paddy, stepped out of the boat … and nearly drowned! Mick just barely managed to pull him back into the boat and safety. Furious and confused, Paddy, went to see his grandmother. ‘Grandma,’ he asked, “Tis me 18th birthday, so why can’t I walk ‘cross the lake like me farder, his farder, and his farder before him?” Granny looked deeply into Paddy’s, troubled brown eyes and said, “Because ye farder, ye grandfarder and ye great-grandfarder were all born in January, when the lake is frozen, and ye were born in August, ya fookin idiot!”

Somewhere in Ireland a teacher asks her class: “Can anyone tell me the name of Robin Hood’s girlfriend? ” Young Paddy raises his hand and says “Trudy Glenn Miss”. “No Paddy ,” says the teacher.  “The answer is Maid Marion “. “But Miss,” replied Paddy, “What about that song we used to sing, ‘Robin Hood, Robin Hood riding Trudy Glenn’.”

In case you haven’t heard, A few months ago three British Muslim girls left their home and travelled to Syria to join Islamic State. This last week it was reported that they escaped and want to come home. This message from their mother was the reason they changed their minds: “Girls, my darlings, please come home immediately. We’re losing £250.00 a week in Child Benefit and Uncle Aziz hasn’t had a shag for a fortnight.”

The following is an actual question given on a  University  of Arizona  chemistry mid-term, and an actual answer turned in by a student. The answer by one student was so ‘profound’ that the professor shared it with colleagues via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well:

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle’s Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving, which is unlikely. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let’s look at the different religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle’s Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:

  1.    If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

  2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Anabella during my Freshman year that, ‘It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,’ and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct….. ….leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Anabella kept shouting ‘Oh my God.’

A woman went to her doctor for advice. She told him that her husband had developed a penchant for anal sex, and she was not sure that it was such a good idea. “Do you enjoy it?” The doctor asked. “Actually, yes, I do.” ”Does it hurt you?” he asked. “No.. I rather like it. ”Well, then,” the doctor continued, “there’s no reason that you shouldn’t? practice anal sex, if that’s what you like, so long as you take care not to get pregnant.” The woman was mystified. “What? You can get pregnant from anal sex?” “Of course,” the doctor replied. “Where do you think politicians and lawyers come from??!!!”

The teacher in Johnny’s school asked the class what their parents did for a living. One little girl said her father was a doctor, another said her mother was an engineer. When it was Little Johnny’s turn, he stood up and said, “My mom’s a whore.” Naturally, after that remark, he got sent off to the principal’s office. Fifteen minutes later, he returned. The teacher asked, “Did you tell the principal what you said in class?” Johnny replied, “Yes, ma’am.” “Well, what did the principal say?” “He said that ‘Every job is important in our economy,’ gave me an apple and asked for my phone number.”

A Cape Breton woman was on the way to winning $100,000 on an American game show, but her final question was suspended for the next night. Her husband an army vet sneaked into the studio and found the question and answer. He raced home and told his wife, “ Mary Your question is: ‘What are the three main parts of the male anatomy’, and the answer is ‘The head, heart and penis.’ The woman thinks about this throughout the night, but keeps forgetting the answer. Her husband keeps reminding her, “The head, heart and penis.”Mary don’t forget it. Come the game show and she has forgotten again, and the presenter asks, “For $100,000, what are the three main parts of the male anatomy? You have ten seconds.” “Um… the head.” “Good. Eight seconds.” “Um… the heart.” “That’s right, five seconds.” “Oh… um… damn. My husband drilled it into me last night and I had it on the tip of my tongue this morning.” “That’s close enough! What To Do About Mediterranean Migrants?

It will not have escaped your notice that the news is full of stories about the people from many nations trying to cross the Mediterranean Sea to get to Europe. They are arriving in the hundreds every week, and with summer coming on you can bet it will only get worse. But what to do about it?

EU President Jean-Claude Juncker – A Difficult Problem But A Solution Must Be Found!

EU President Jean-Claude Juncker has put forward proposals to deal with the problem, but not everyone is in agreement with him. His highly controversial plan would see all E. U. countries take their share of 20,000 migrants over the next two years who would be allowed to settle here. I think the man lives in a dream world because that number will be reached within three more months and then what will he do?  Britain’s Home Secretary Theresa May argues that “a quota would only encourage people to come – putting them at the mercy of “evil” people traffickers”.

Well, many countries like France, Germany, the UK, Holland, Belgium and Denmark have already taken in most of the refugees so far, while many eastern European countries have not taken their fair share. Mind you, this is not strictly fair because most of them want to come to Western European nations, often for the perks. But you could say that a more even distribution of these people is a step in the right direction.

In E.U. circles there is talk of doing something about the human traffickers that make it possible for them to cross in such numbers. For me, this is by far the most important decision, take on the traffickers and put them out of business. But the people on the other side of the Mediterranean Sea like Libya, Morocco and Tunisia do not seem to be too interested in taking any action against them, for they do not consider it their problem because the migrants all want to get to Europe and thereby ‘out of their hair’ so to speak.

So in fact it remains a European problem, but to do anything about it will require the cooperation of these countries, and that is a sticking point. Any real action taken would also have to be sanctioned by the U.N. Security Council, and that will I’m sure be the biggest problem of all.

It is a fact that many of the ‘refugees’ are not refugees at all, but so-called ‘economic migrants’. There is a big difference between those fleeing war and bloodshed and those who come here just to get a better job and live a more comfortable life. One cannot condemn these economic migrants for wanting to better their lives, but the numbers are growing to major proportions, and Europe cannot take them all in. If we did, a third of the entire world would be living among us and that is unsustainable.

The E.U. has rightfully become concerned because of the high death rate among those trying the cross the Mediterranean this year. In 2014 the number of people who lost their lives trying to cross was 3,400 but in the first months of this year a total of 1,800 have died. Half of last years total in just five months. Traffickers are currently abandoning the ships at sea and leaving the migrants to await rescue by European patrols.

The European approach to this problem is far different from that of Australia, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaya. In Australia for example, most are returned to their home country, and the other lands mentioned have begun turning away boats full of Rohingya and Bangladeshis that are heading for their shores. “What do you expect us to do?” Malaysian Deputy Home Minister Wan Junaidi Jafaar said. “We have been very nice to the people who broke into our border. We have treated them humanely but they cannot be flooding our shores like this.” This appears to be a lesson that Europe has yet to learn.

To combat this problem the most obvious choice is to deport them back to their home country, but what then of those that are fleeing violence as in Iraq? At the best of times it is difficult to distinguish between genuine refugees and economic refugees. As you would expect, where they come from is a good guide, but that is not always clear.

Who Is To Say They Won't Be Entering Europe Posing As Refugees?

Who Is To Say They Won’t Be Entering Europe Posing As Refugees?

Another major problem for Europe is to distinguish between those who come for help, and those who are members of Islamic State (I.S.) or al Quada sneaking in to start a terror war across Europe. Nothing could be simpler than to hide among a boatload of refugees, most of whom do not have any papers, and claim to be a refugee from the fighting in Iraq or Syria. Without doubt this is a ‘clear and present danger’.  The British government already suspects that hundreds of young men who went to fight for I.S. in Iraq and Syria have returned ‘under the radar’.

The problem of refugees has without doubt become a global problem and the sooner the United Nations recognizes this fact the sooner we can all do something about it.

The most obvious solution is to end the fighting in all these various countries so the people no longer have the need to flee to Europe, Australia or any other nation for refuge. As I have said many times before in previous posts, it is time the U.N. took some lessons from our grandfathers who stepped in to stop North Korea turning the whole Korean peninsular into a communist state. With the modern logistical methods we have today it should not be considered impossible to organize a multi-national force to go into Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Nigeria and any other country with an insurgent problem, and end it once and for all. Once there is peace the refugees can be repatriated to their homeland.
