What Is Wrong With British Football?

Posted in America, Brazil, Britain, England, Europe, Football, Modern World, News, UK, World Cup with tags , , on 27/06/2014 by floroy1942

Brazil 2014After watching most of England’s games in the World Cup I have to say that English football is in dire straits and the Football Association along with the clubs are to blame. England has never put up such a poor showing in the last thirty-odd years of this tournament, but in my view it is only going to get worse.

Fewer Native PlayersThe big problem with football in this country has been the ever-growing insistence over the last twenty years of clubs bringing in foreign players to win League matches. When England’s top-flight celebrated its 20th anniversary last summer what percentage of players were of foreign origin? The answer is: 62 per cent. And that is just the top clubs.

2014 Opening Ceremony

2014 Opening Ceremony

Teams like Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and most others have done everything they can to sign on top players from teams across Europe, but what they do not realize is that they are stifling our own talent. These days a true English born and bred player is a rarity on the pitch. When it comes to the greatest football spectacle on the planet we have to coddle together a team of what we can find because we cannot have foreign players in our national team.

In my view, FA is just as much to blame by not setting a limit on the number of foreign players allowed in League teams. If they were to set a rule that no team may have no more than, say, four foreign players in the squad, it would give us a chance to benefit from young talented English players who are yearning for a chance to show what they can do. I am sure we have many up-and-coming young players who given half a chance could prove to be great assets to this country and the clubs. It’s just a pity we never give them a chance to shine.

The main problem with football in general is that everything revolves around money these days. Years ago it was a sport that everyone could enjoy, but now it has become ‘win at any cost’ because we must have the money. This is one of the reasons why we see so many fouls, play-acting and foul tempered arguments on the pitch today, because we must win and will try any trick in or out of the book to gain a victory.

Players are paid exorbitant amounts of money these days and it keeps rising. Teams are prepared to pay whatever it costs to get the player they want from another team. Players themselves are costing more money than 100 people can earn in a lifetime – monthly. Why?

Wayne Rooney On England’s performance (the most intelligent thing he said was: Ehm!)

Personally I'd Rather Watch Her Play

Personally I’d Rather Watch Her Play

Wayne Rooney gets £13,936,765.00 a year, David Beckham received £ 22,036,765.00, Frank Lampard gets £9,529,412.00. Many Footballers playing for foreign clubs get ever more,  Lionel Messi is paid £38,534,559.00 annually while Nemar of Barcelona gets £20,011,765.00 per year(Information from: uk.paywizard.co.ok). As you would expect, such salaries are a tax man’s dream, but  even the tax is paid for them by many clubs.

Can you imagine how many years you or I would have to work to earn that kind of money? It is nothing short of scandalous. It is time the football world got back down to Earth, stopped hiring expensive foreign players, cut salaries across the board and got back to playing ‘The Beautiful Game’! Time for the FA to wake up and take positive action to stop this merry-go-round.

May you reach your goal without fouling!

A Short Sharp Lesson For The British Government

Russian President Address the Duma

Russian President Addresses the Duma

On August 04, 2013, Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, addressed the Duma, (Russian Parliament), and gave a speech about the tensions with minorities in Russia :

“In Russia , live like Russians. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia , to work and eat in Russia , should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws. If they prefer Sharia Law, and live the life of Muslims then we advise them to go to those places where that’s the state law.

Russia does not need Muslim minorities . Minorities need Russia , and we will not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell ‘discrimination’ .

We will not tolerate disrespect of our Russian culture. We better learn from the suicides of America , England , Holland and France , if we are to survive as a nation. The Muslims are taking over those countries and they will not take over Russia .

The Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of Sharia Law and Muslims. When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the Russian national interest first, observing that the Muslims Minorities Are Not Russians”.

The politicians in the Duma gave Putin a five minute standing ovation.

It is a sad day when a Communist leader makes more sense than our own political leaders !!!!

My thanks to an old colleague who sent me this.

Then Versus Now!

A friend from many years ago sent me this and I thought I would pass it on. Many people will agree with this, but it may confuse the younger ones who have never experienced life as it was.

My mum used to cut chicken, chop eggs and spread  butter on bread on the same cutting board with the same knife and no  bleach, but we didn’t seem to get food poisoning..

Our school sandwiches were wrapped in wax paper  in a brown paper bag, not in ice pack coolers, but I can’t remember  getting e. Coli. Almost all of us would have rather gone swimming in the  lake  or at the beach instead of a  pristine pool (talk about boring), no beach closures then.

We  all took PE ……. And risked permanent injury with a pair of Dunlop  sand shoes instead of having cross-training athletic shoes with air  cushion soles and built in light reflectors that cost as much as a small  car. I can’t recall any injuries but they must have happened because  they tell us how much safer we are now.

We got the cane for doing something wrong at  school, they used to call it discipline yet we all grew up to accept the  rules and to honour & respect those older than us. We had 50 kids in  our class and we all learned to read and write, do maths and spell  almost all the words needed to write a grammatically correct  letter……., FUNNY THAT!!

We all said prayers in school irrespective  of our religion, sang the national anthem and no one got  upset.

Staying in detention after school caught all  sorts of negative attention we wish we hadn’t  got.

I thought that I was supposed to accomplish  something before I was allowed to be proud of myself. I just can’t  recall how bored we were without computers, Play Station, Nintendo,  X-box or 270 digital TV cable stations. We weren’t!!

Oh yeah … And where was the antibiotics and  sterilization kit when I got that bee sting? I could have been killed!

We played “King of the Hill” on piles of gravel  left on vacant building sites and when we got hurt, mum pulled out the  2/6p bottle of iodine and then we got our backside spanked. Now it’s a  trip to the emergency room, followed by a 10 day dose of antibiotics and  then mum calls the lawyer to sue the contractor for leaving a horribly vicious pile of gravel where it was such a  threat.

To top it off, not a single person I knew had  ever been told that they were from a dysfunctional family. How could we  possibly have known that?

We never needed to get into group therapy and/or  anger management classes. We were obviously so duped by so many societal  ills, that we didn’t even notice that the entire country wasn’t taking  Prozac!

How did we ever survive?

After reading this you may begin to agree that we are over-doing things these days. I guess it all depends on your point of view.

Thanks Geoff.

The Losing Battle Against Jihad

UK Muslim Youth Protesting

UK Muslim Youth Protesting

Due to a lack of positive action by the government, Britain is rapidly losing the ‘war’ against Muslim jihadists, and we stand a good chance of seeing a wave of terrorist strikes in our country before long. Almost daily I read in the press about young impressionable Muslim youth who are being persuaded to go and fight in Syria or Iraq for the terrorist organizations there.

At Least 150 Austalian Muslims Fighting In Iraq

At Least 150 Austalian Muslims Fighting In Iraq

These young men are being turned into hardened terrorists by organizations like al Quada and ISIS, and the Cameron government seems either reluctant or afraid  to take the drastic measures required to put a stop to this.

Big Enough To Hold A Gun- You Fight For The Cause

Big Enough To Hold A Gun- You Fight For The Cause

In the news today is a report about a young Muslim boy, with possibly a bright future ahead of him in computer science, who according to his father has gone to Iraq to fight for ISIS. Rahim Kalantar is convinced that his eighteen year old son Ali was radicalized by the Imam in their local mosque and told it was his duty to go and fight for Islam. Now where have I heard that before?

Although news agencies tried to contact the Imam for comment, he denied the accusations and refused an interview. I guess he is keeping a very low profile now that he has been found out.

Is this really what we want on our streets?

Abu Hamsa Preaching Hate On The Streets Of London

Abu Hamsa Preaching Hate On The Streets Of London

Law enforcement agencies in the UK know about many of these radical preachers but don’t seem to want to do anything about them. Maybe they fear a ten-year battle to deport them like the Abu Qatada and Abu Hamsa farces, two men who made a mockery of both British, and European Law.

Ali is by no means the only one who has been ‘tricked’ into fighting for the insurgents. Reyaad Khan and Nasser Muthana among others featured in an internet recruitment video for ISIS (See Top Video).

ISIS In Action In Syria

ISIS In Action In Syria

Today it is estimated that in excess of 500 young Muslims from Britain are now fighting for this terror group in Iraq and Syria, and it is certain this number will continue to grow unless the government take immediate positive steps to stop it.

Arrest Of A Muslim Extremeist

Arrest Of A Muslim Extremist

These young men are not only being recruited to fight for the insurgents, but many are being radicalized to make attacks on this country when they return home. Admittedly, it can be difficult to track down these people once they are back here, which is why they should be prevented from returning in the first place. Once proof has been obtained that these youths are in fact fighting for radical Islam, their passports should immediately be revoked and a watch kept at all entry points where they must be refused entry back into the UK. To prevent them circumventing this order using Brussels ‘Human Rights’ and ‘Religious Discrimination’ Laws there should be no arrest or trial, they are simply sent back to where they came from.

This action will also serve as a warning to any other Muslim youths who are thinking of following this path in the name of Islam. When they know they will never see their family in this country again if they leave, it may well act as a deterrent.

So Far As Do-Gooders Are Concerned This Speaks For Itself!

So Far As ‘Do-Gooders’ Are Concerned This Speaks For Itself!

Harsh and authoritarian? I can hear the self-righteous ‘do-gooders’ right now screaming about Human Rights, and how could we be so callous as to separate a son from his parents! I can also imagine the self-righteous indignation from Brussels at how dare we flout the Human Rights Laws like this.

But look at the other side of the coin. Do we really want to see our citizens murdered in the way the Iraqi and Syrian people are, with car bombs and suicide bombers in crowded shopping centres? Do we really want to see our people murdered on the streets like Lee Rigby? Think about it Mr. Cameron!

After Ten Years, Abu Qatada Finally Gets Deported To Jordan

After Ten Years, Abu Qatada Finally Gets Deported To Jordan

A large part of this bitter battle is of course the Muslim preachers who convince these young men to throw away their lives in a useless struggle. More emphasis must be made to track down these evil people and remove them from the country. Once proof has been acquired there should be no trial, but simply kick them out and never let them back in.

This Is How Its Done!

This Is How Its Done!

I am well aware it is easy to sit at a computer and say ‘how things ought to be’, but western civilization is on the brink of fighting for its very life at the moment. We let these people into the country in their millions thanks to the traitor Tony Blair and  his government, and now we are seeing a gradual takeover of our country from the inside. It is time we let these people know we are not going to take this lying down and began fighting back. I just hope people begin to listen before it is too late.

Muslim Violence In Belgium

Muslim Violence In Belgium

Britain is of course not the only European country suffering with this problem. France, Belgium, Holland and Denmark among others are all having the same problems with Muslim youth. It is estimated that combined, there are perhaps 2000 European youths fighting for the insurgency. Those that survive the fighting will come back to their home country, and many will have been radicalized to the point where they begin attacks in their home country.

The Man Who Must Find The Answers - Before Its Too Late!

The Man Who Must Find The Answers – Before Its Too Late!

If the countries of Europe do not unite to fight this menace we will see bloodshed on the streets, and once established these people will be hard to eradicate, especially under the cock-eyed laws that exist today. I for one hope that Mr. Cameron has the balls to take some tough decisions on this problem and lead the way in Europe when it comes to fighting this menace. If Britain takes a tough stance with these people I am sure that other countries suffering the same problem will quickly follow suit. One thing is certain, if Islam does manage to conquer Europe from the inside, you can bet your last dollar that America will be next!

Come on Mr Cameron. Show us you have balls! (And I don’t mean that literally David!!!)

Cameron Dithering Again

Posted in Britain, Christianity, David Cameron, England, European Union, Human Rights, Immigrants, Muslim, News, UK with tags , , , on 18/06/2014 by floroy1942

It is a sad fact that Britain is coming under threat, so why is Cameron unable to take positive action to stop it? I refer to the growing problem of UK Muslims going to fight in such places as Syria and now Iraq.

Baroness Neville-Jones

Baroness Neville-Jones

A former intelligence chief, Baroness Neville-Jones has stated publicly that, “Unfortunately the UK exports more young men to become jihadis in Europe than any other. The intelligence picture is clear. The numbers are there.”  It is true what she says but how do you stop it?

Cameron - Much Talk But Little Action

Cameron – Much Talk But Little Action

Mr. Cameron fully recognizes that young British Muslims who leave to fight will be radicalized, and when they return home could start a wave of terrorist attacks in this country when he said, “UK nationals fighting in Iraq and Syria could pose a “real threat” if they tried to return home.”

London-born Ismail Jamar Incited Lone-wolf Attacks Styled On The Lee Rigby Killing

London-born Ismail Jamar Incited Lone-wolf Attacks Styled On The Lee Rigby Killing

Intelligence estimates put the number of British Muslims fighting in Syria at around 400, and now many more are fighting for ISIS in Iraq. The numbers are growing daily but there is little anyone can do to stop it without strong action.

Radical Preacher Anjem Choudary, Pictured At A Rally Outside Paddington Police Station With Michael Adebojalo, Who Was Convicted Of The Lee Rigby Murder

That these young man are being radicalized is not in doubt, for many are persuaded to go to these countries to fight by radical preachers here in the UK. Once they reach their destination they are radicalized even further before being taught how to fight, make car bombs and suicide vests. All in the name of Islam, the so-called religion of peace!

Baroness Neville-Jones’s posed the question, “How do we persuade young men that they belong to this country and share the ambitions of other Britons? That is the task that lies before us.”

Praying In The Streets Of London And The Police Can Do Nothing For Fear Of The Discrimination Laws!

Praying In The Streets Of London And The Police Can Do Nothing For Fear Of The Discrimination Laws!

In my opinion that is an impossible task, for few Muslims residing here are prepared to integrate into British society and accept the country and it’s people for what they are. This is why they are steadily taking over towns and areas of our cities and turning them into Muslim enclaves. In short, they will never integrate because they consider us a sub-species!

It is way past time that our politicians recognized this fact and did something about it. The only trouble, is the problem is huge and none of them have the balls to attack it head on. Cameron has promised to do  “absolutely everything we can” to protect the country from these returning radicals before all hell breaks loose.

Deportation

Deportation

In my view Mr Cameron the answer is not difficult. If you know these men have gone to Syria and Iraq to fight for the jihadists, revoke their passport and refuse them entry back into the country. This will stop stone dead any plans they may have for creating mayhem on our streets, and will serve as a warning to any more who may wish to leave.

The Baroness also said that older Muslims living here had a duty to inform and educate the young about the dangers of fighting and radicalization, and stop them from going to the conflict zones. I cannot agree with that statement, because if it’s a choice of believing the radical local Imam in the mosque or listening to your parents it becomes no contest.

Muslim Mosque

Muslim Mosque

Perhaps it is time we had undercover police in all the mosques, and as soon as an Imam or visiting preacher starts preaching about the “Muslim duty of Jihad” he is arrested and immediately deported along with his family. No trial, and therefore no excuse to appeal on Human Rights or Religious Discrimination grounds, pack your bags, you are out of here. We have to get tough with these people who are radicalizing Muslim youth and fermenting Jihad across the world, for they are at the root of all this evil.

Most people are slowly beginning to realize the threat posted by these returning radicalized youth as is often recorded in the comments column of news items on the internet.

An example: “Part of what makes us different to other countries is our tolerance of what might be deemed offensive views without any state punishment for holding such views. However – when these views drive and encourage behaviours which threaten the population, that very freedom, and through that the state – it’s time to act firmly. These people and their direct families should in effect become non-Britons.”

Two British Siblings, Radicalized In UK Mosques, Died Fighting Kurdish Rebels In Northern Syria.

Two British Siblings, Radicalized In UK Mosques, Died Fighting Kurdish Rebels In Northern Syria.

Another example: “British Muslims who are fighting abroad are a definite a threat to the people of this Country and a hard line approach should be taken, if not it wont be long before we see attacks against people on our streets. Lee Rigby (God Rest His Soul) is only the beginning. Muslims do not want to be British and what did David Cameron say the other day, stop being bashful, omg he has no idea.”

Typical Politician

Typical Politician

There is little doubt that among the British public there is little appetite for what the government has done so far to combat this problem. It is all Blah Blah Blah and no positive action. The measures I have put forward should be a solid beginning to the British people getting their own country back from these malcontent-ed immigrants.

As a further measure, Muslims who demonstrate on our streets holding placards saying “Islam will rule the world” and “All those who insult Islam will die” etc. should immediately be rounded up by the police, and along with their families be deported as undesirables. All illegals should also be rounded up and sent on their way in the same fashion.

To hell with all these Religious Discrimination laws from Europe, and the Human Rights Laws too. The government has to learn that this is OUR country and we the people will not allow Muslims to come here and dictate how we should behave and run our country. If they do not like it then leave!

All this may sound harsh, and I suppose it is, but I among millions of other ethnic Brits are sick and tired of the governments pussy-footing around this problem for fear of dictates from Brussels. In my view, it is time for the discussions to stop and the positive action to start.

Civil War Becomes A Possibility

Civil War Becomes A Possibility

If the government does not take positive action very soon on these problems, the words of Enoch Powell from so long ago may well become reality as we see mayhem on the streets directed at Muslim families from British people who have been pushed beyond the limit.

May all radical Muslims meet their heavenly virgins very soon.

Teenage Thrillseekers

Posted in America, Britain, Child Discipline, England, Europe, Insanity, Modern World, News, Teens, UK with tags , , , , on 16/06/2014 by floroy1942

'L'Eau ou Au Resto'Why on earth do teenagers today feel it necessary to do things that would class them in any normal society as nutcases? I read with some amusement, and then sadness about the latest craze among teens with nothing better to do with their lives. It’s called ‘L’Eau ou Au Resto’ and involves throwing themselves fully clothed into a river or canal. Why?

To me, and I am old and past foolish things, that the current generation are so bored out of their gourds with modern life that they have to do these strange things.

MilkingYes, I hear you say, but we did stupid things in our day, but never anything close to what today’s youth are up to. For example, we would think you belonged in the nuthouse if you went to a supermarket, bought a five litre bottle of milk and poured it over yourself on the pavement outside, the so-called ‘Milking ‘ craze of last year. You can watch some of these idiots by clicking on the following link.

With regard to this years craze, police are warning of the dangers of such an act as at least one person has been killed and several injured trying it.

'L'Eau ou Au Resto'The one who died was a nineteen year-old from Beganne in France who tied his bicycle to his leg because he did not want to lose it when he rode into the river. Unfortunately for him the water was 20ft deep and the weight of the cycle dragged him down and he drowned. The whole episode was filmed by a friend. I wonder what he must have thought when the man did not reappear.

Several people have been seriously injured trying these stunts also. One middle-aged man tried to launch himself into a river but slipped and hit his head on rocks causing severe head trauma.

A young woman wanted to take a jump off a pier but because she was wearing high heels she slipped and hit her legs as she went into the water.

Balcony JumpingThis latest craze is not as bad as the balcony jumping phase that silly teenagers went through a couple of years ago. This involved jumping from high hotel or apartment block balcony’s into a swimming pool below. This caused very many fatalities among young people who fell to their death because they missed the pool, or slipped before they were ready. Again some examples from YouTube:

FacebookTo stop such idiotic crazes is almost impossible, because they spread like wildfire on sites such as Facebook. Some idiot has a stupid idea, films it and puts it on the website and before you know it, everyone is at it. For some strange reason it has become a ‘Badge of Honour’ thing and our malcontent youth can’t wait to try it. There are videos of ‘L’Eau ou Au Resto’ on YouTube but to be honest, they are not worth a view. They are in French so it is clear where this fad originated.

Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to guessing what the next craze will be. Maybe it will be something completely off the wall like getting a job. But I guess that is too much to ask for.

Ah well! Roll on the day when sanity returns to the human race!

Iraq’s Future In The Balance?

Posted in Afghanistan, America, Britain, England, Insurgents, Iran, News, Taliban, Terrorism, Terrorists with tags , , , , on 13/06/2014 by floroy1942

Recent events in Iraq could prove catastrophic for stability in the Middle East if a positive stance is not taken by the Iraqi government against jihadists threatening the capital. To me, the chances of that are not certain and could result in an insurgent group ISIS, gaining control of the whole country. I hope I am wrong. Their aim is to carve out a Sunni enclave that would take in parts of Syria and a huge swathe of Iraq.

Tikrit Iraq

Tikrit Iraq

For the past year this insurgent group has steadily made territorial gains in both Syria and Iraq. Recently they took control of Falluja and parts of Ramadi, and last Tuesday they topped that off by taking Mosul, and now Tikrit. Their chances of holding on to the Syrian enclave seem to be pretty slim for the forces under Assad are far stronger, backed as they are by Hezbollah and other militant groups.

Mosul - Iraq's Second Largest City

Mosul – Iraq’s Second Largest City

As everyone now knows, Mosul is the second largest city in Iraq and ISIS took it with ease. They also met little or no resistance during their takeover of Tikrit that lies just 150km from the capital Baghdad. Since this latest victory they have made it known that they will attack the capital very soon. If that happens they may possibly gain control over the whole country.

Maliki Iraq's Prime Minister

Nouri Maliki Iraq’s Prime Minister

The Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki, is being blamed by all sides for this upsurge in violence. He has alienated many of the Sunni tribal leaders and been accused of huge scale corruption. For example, the police and army were allowed to sell positions and promotions while competent commanders were by-passed and Maliki loyalists were given key roles.

Ethnic Groups in Iraq

Ethnic Groups in Iraq

Iraqi Army In Action

Iraqi Army In Action

In Mosul and Tikrit the Iraqi Army made little or no attempt to stop the insurgents but in fact ran away, much to the disgust of many. This despite the fact the USA gave training and equipment to the Iraqi Army worth $25 billion during the occupation. They are not what I would call an effective army even though it has a million men. This is due in part to very poor leadership. Whether they will be up to the task of clearing out the insurgents remains to be seen.

Death Rate in Iraq By Year

Death Rate in Iraq By Year

Casualties to date have been in the hundreds, and are for the most part civilians. After the takeover of Mosul and Tikrit the insurgents have carried out summary executions of civilians for reasons unknown at this time. Deaths throughout the conflict in Iraq have been huge and in recent months they have risen steadily.

Baghdad - People Living In Fear

Baghdad – People Living In Fear

There is at the moment a climate of fear in Baghdad as the population anticipate an attack by ISIS.  It is reported that citizens are stocking up on food and all eyes are glued to the radio and TV news programs to catch the latest news.

The real danger is that if ISIS gain control of the country they will use the fact to their own advantage as an insurgent group. If this scenario takes place it will be the second time a jihadist group has ruled a country. The first was the Taliban who ruled in Afghanistan with ruthless force until NATO Forces kicked them out.

Life Under The Taliban

Life Under The Taliban

In my view, as soon as all NATO forces have left Afghanistan, that will be the next country to fall to a terrorist group. The Taliban will begin moves to take over the country again, and if ISIS win Iraq, they will have all the assistance they need, for the largest religious group there is also Sunni.

In such a situation, the world will be faced with two Middle East countries under the command of insurgent groups with a sworn duty to destroy the West. Not a very good prospect. This will also give these groups a powerhouse for operations against other Arab countries where we have already recorded unrest among the Sunni populations.

Sunni JokeNaturally, part of this is the internal fight in Muslim territories of Shi’ite against Shia, two different sects within Islam. You could compare it to Protestants against Catholics in western countries.

Demonstrations In Bahrain

Demonstrations In Bahrain

ISIS, or the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant which grew from an off-shoot of al Quada, are Sunni’s and wish to wrest control of the country from its Shia government. Once they are established, this could lead to future problems in Gulf States like Bahrain which is mainly Sunni, but with a Shi’ite ruling class.

If the insurgents do in fact take over both Iraq and Afghanistan they will become a major Sunni political power base within Arabic countries in the Middle East. It is by no means a huge stretch of the imagination to understand that many Arab countries with a Sunni population majority could then rise up against their Shi’ite masters. Should any state wish to do this they will have willing help, and manpower, from the insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan. These groups may even take the initiative themselves and create the foundations for an uprising. It would not be the first time they have done this.

Iran/IraqA further complication is that Iran has said it will not allow ISIS to gain control for it will be against their own interests. In Iran around 90% of the population is Shia and they will not want a Sunni state being born on their doorstep. Other Middle East countries have either a Shia majority or are governed by a minority Shia government. They will also not want to see Sunni insurgents setting up their own state, knowing no doubt what could follow.

The United States has already indicated they do not wish to re-enter the fight in either Iraq or Afghanistan and I can understand that for there is much hatred in these countries against America. There is talk at this time of providing further equipment aid to the Iraqi government, and the possibility of air strikes against selected targets.

Iraqi Air Force Single-Engined Cessna Aircraft Armed With Hellfire Missiles

Iraqi Air Force Single-Engined Cessna Aircraft Armed With Hellfire Missiles

The Iraqi Air Force  is a complete shambles with little or no aircraft, and can therefore not be relied upon to play any major role in the fight, except perhaps for attacks by armed helicopters. So far the idea of American ‘boots on the ground’ has been ruled out, however the government is said to be looking at ‘all options’.

UN In Iraq

Past UN Presence In Iraq

I would certainly not rule out this being possible sometime in the future if these groups do manage to gain full control. If ISIS are successful, then we may well see another United Nations Force operating in both Iraq and Afghanistan with the express purpose of routing the insurgents before they cause too much mayhem in other countries.

Jihad

Jihad

The rest of the world can only sit back and hope that the Iraqi Army is strong enough to drive these jihadists out of the country once and for all, and the government works towards uniting the people of Iraq into one nation again. Even if that happens, the threat from these militants will be far from over, for they have more than enough places in the world to sow the seeds of discontent, and enough fools who will listen.

It is my fervent hope that all jihadists and militants sleep well tonight, forget to wake up in the morning, and enter a state of eternal sleep!

Roy.
